Trammell Crow Residential is steps closer to building its proposed Alexan project in DTLA.
Despite opposition to the proposed development, LA City Council's Planning and Land Use Management Committee voted to reject an appeal filed by those against the project, LA Downtown News reports. The committee ruled against the idea of forcing Trammell Crow Residential to conduct another lengthy environmental impact report.
The 27-story project would be built at 850 South Hill St., and would have 305 apartments.
Some neighbors say the modern design of the high-rise would not fit into the historic neighborhood.
The entire city council is expected to vote on the development later this month.
