West Hollywood Mayor Lauren Meister has had enough.

She plans to ask the West Hollywood City Council on Monday to issue a moratorium on new hotels in WeHo at least until the city can research the impact on the hotels already in the city.

Hotels being considered or that have received prior approval add 1,229 rooms, or an increase of 60%.

Meister is concerned four projects being considered were not even included in the study.

A downturn in the economy could also negatively impact local hotel occupancy rates. She would like the city council to conduct new research.
