The century-old building is a national historic-cultural monument. In the past, it has been a supply depot for naval ships and a favorite local filming location, the Daily Breeze reports.
Any plans to transform the property would depend on the passage of Measure P in the March 7 election.
The area has other projects on the horizon that will soon change the landscape, including the revitalization of Ports O’ Call and transforming AltaSea.
