Award-Winning Former Oxheart Chef Teases New Restaurant Details

James Beard award-winning chef Justin Yu shocked Houstonians when he announced the closure of the award-winning restaurant Oxheart earlier this year. In an Instagram post Friday, Yu hinted at details of his latest endeavor. The new restaurant will be named Theodore Rex, after Yu's nephew, whose birthday was the subject of the social media post. Though a boilerplate website is active, no additional information about the location or style of the restaurant was provided. Bisnow has reached out for additional details.

Yu has been busy since announcing the closure of Oxheart. A few weeks ago, Better Luck Tomorrow, a "bar with food" collaboration with Bobby Heugel, opened in the Heights to acclaim.
