Warning: Eat lunch before you see the photo below. The transformation of Rice Village continues with the announcement that Hopdoddy Burger Bar will join the lineup, creating ground-zero of the Houston burger wars between Hopdoddy and Shake Shack. They can't open fast enough.

Located at 5510 Morningside Drive in space formerly occupied by Baker Street Pub near 55 Restaurant and Bar, Houston’s newest Hopdoddy is expected to open in February. So the lines will start forming around Jan. 1, we presume.

Cypressbrook Co's John Hornbuckle repped the Houston International Boat, Sport and Travel Show in leasing 7,200 SF at 8909 Knight St. Stream's Jeremy Lumbreras repped the landlord.

Flamingos Vintage Kilo leased 17k SF of distribution/warehouse space at 8811 Wallisville in Houston. The landlord, Buckhead Houston Industrial Portfolio, was repped by Holt Lunsford's John Kruse. The tenant was repped by Lee & Associates' Justin Tunnell.

Chestnut Ridge Associates signed national tenants Aldi and Dollar Tree for its Kingwood Center, now known as the The Shoppes at KingsGate. Demolition and reconstruction for the Dollar Tree and Aldi building will begin before year-end with a Q3 '17 opening expected.

Cypressbrook Co's Denise Ksiazek repped Gregory P. Lee & Associates in the purchase of a 4,500 SF office building at 23033 Gosling Road, Spring. Castlewood Development's Chris Rochester repped the seller.

Black Label Commercial Group's Jeremy Bran brokered the sale of 1717 Norfolk St, a 20-unit Class-C apartment complex in Montrose. The buyer is Christopher Bran with CBMJ Investments and Development. The property’s exterior and interior are being renovated.
