The fictional Ewing family called Southfork Ranch home for nearly a decade.

Developer Centurion American has bought the 241-acre Southfork Ranch where the iconic TV series Dallas was filmed.

What exactly will become of the property is unclear, though the development of large residential lots has been confirmed, according to a news release. The size and number of lots is still to be determined, per the release.

“We are looking forward to working with the city of Parker to determine the future of this historic property,” Centurion American CEO Mehrdad Moayedi said in a statement. “Southfork Ranch is one of the most important and beloved parcels of land in the Metroplex with more than 400,000 visitors each year, and we’re proud to lead the team bringing it into its next evolution.”

The ranch continued to operate as a conference and events venue upon the conclusion of Dallas’ 13-season run in 1991. Arizona businessman Rex Maughan bought the property, located northeast of Dallas in Parker, in 1992, according to its website.

Centurion’s purchase includes the 63K SF event center as well as a rodeo arena. The site will remain a tourist attraction, according to D Magazine.

The ranch and 14 associated properties have an assessed value of just under $6.8M, per real estate intelligence platform Reonomy.
