A Chinese green energy company plans to open a facility at Nordblom Co.'s Northwest Park campus in Burlington.

Envision Energy USA, the company's U.S. arm, signed a 30K SF lease to occupy the full building at 10 North Ave. for a research and development facility it has dubbed its H2 Center of Excellence.

“We are excited to move into Northwest Park, a dynamic and diversified neighborhood with world-class support from the landlord," Hui Xu, chief technology officer of green hydrogen at Envision Energy, said in a release. "We look forward to developing innovative Green H2 technologies to fulfill our global net-zero commitments."

Nordblom's Northwest Park is a 200-acre mixed-use site that has attracted a number of life sciences companies like Vericel Corp. and the Broad Institute, which signed leases in a newly constructed building on the campus.

Hunneman's Jim Boudrot, Steve James and Patrick Grady represented Envision Energy in the lease.

“Envision Energy chose Northwest Park in Burlington to help them attract and retain the absolute best employees within the cleantech industry,” Boudrot said in a release.

Envision Energy is the latest in a series of green energy companies that have expanded in the Boston area.

Earlier this week, the Boston Business Journal reported that Somerville-based Form Energy was in negotiations for a new 180K SF space in the region. Clean tech company Electric Hydrogen earlier this month signed a 187K SF lease at King Street Properties' campus in Devens, the second clean energy company to expand to the campus.
