Sephora will take 11,334 SF smack across the street from the iconic Macy’s flagship store. ESRT had no word on when the high-end beauty products retailer will move in, but a rep said the lease will last 12 years and four months. Footlocker was in the space previously. Virginia Pitarelli of Crown Realty Services repped Sephora. Empire State Realty Trust worked out terms for Footlocker to leave the space more than a year before the end of its lease, which was done by an in-house team of Thomas Durels and Fred Posniak, along with Cushman & Wakefield's Joanne Podell and Ian Lerner. ESRT has four other available retail spaces along the 34th Street corridor. Sephora, which has 1,900 locations worldwide, didn’t say whether they’d open four more on the same two-block stretch, but wouldn't it be weird if they did?
