Canada-Based Asian Grocery Chain T&T Supermarket Expands In SoCal
Not long after it announced an Irvine store in the works, Canada’s largest Asian grocery chain has said it will open a second Southern California store, this time in Chino Hills.
The market, set to be T&T's largest in California, will open in the fall of 2026, the Los Angeles Times reported. The 61K SF store will take up two former big-box spaces vacated by a Best Buy and a Bed Bath & Beyond.
The store will feature snacks, fresh produce, live seafood and beauty products from Asian countries, as well as a bakery and cooked-to-order hot street food, according to a release from the supermarket.
Like Costco, T&T also features a house brand, which produces 200 products, including soup dumplings and green onion pancakes.
T&T Supermarket operates nearly 40 stores across Canada.
Last month, grocery store Trader Joe's announced 20 store openings in the first four months of this year, representing a sped-up rollout for new locations. Trader Joe's and Aldi have increasingly become the primary grocery destination for their shoppers, RetailDive reported last month.
