Construction Begins At Century Plaza Redevelopment Project

Century Plaza, LA

The Century Plaza Hotel, at the corner of Constellation Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars, is officially undergoing a $2.5B transformation.

Woodbridge Capital Partners has begun the construction project with initial plans to refurbish the hotel.

Gensler and Marmol Radziner are converting the upper floors of the 16-story building into 63 condos, Urbanize LA reports.

Four hundred hotel rooms and 93k SF of retail space will remain.

Twin 46-story towers with a total of 300 condos will also be built as part of the project, along with open space designed by Rios Clementi Hale Studios.

Pei Cobb Freed & Partners is designing those buildings in the shape of Reuleaux triangles.

It is expected to be completed in 2019. [ULA]
