Braun Enterprises closed on three assets in thriving neighborhoods. Last week in a JV with Baker Katz, Braun Enterprises closed on the historic 1919 Washington Ave building (above), home to the popular bar Julep. The owners will renovate the building, which contains 17k SF of commercial space, 13k SF of which is available.

In The Heights, Braun acquired a 52k SF tract at 2401 North Shepherd. It's leased to an auto body shop, president Dan Braun told the Houston Business Journal, and the developer will keep the property as-is while the tenant is operating. The acquisition is the 20th property purchase for Braun Enterprises in the Greater Heights market.

The Montrose asset at 1415 Richmond is a 10k SF retail strip center that formerly housed Pepino's restaurant. Renovations are planned for the property, which has received interest from a number of tenants. [HBJ]
