Til Hazel graduated from Washington-Lee High School in 1947 and graduated with an AB

from Harvard Collage in 1951 and with an LL.B from Harvard Law School in 1954. He was in the

U.S. Army Infantry and Judge Advocate General Corps from 1954-58 Captain USAR. Til was an

Associate Judge in the Fairfax County Court from 1961-65. He practiced law in Fairfax County

commencing 1956 at Jesse, Phillips representing VDOT in acquisition of right-of- way for the

Beltway and commenced a solo practice in 1961. Hazel, Beckhorn and Hanes was founded in

1968 and merged with Reed Smith Hazel & Thomas in 2002. Til retired in 2003. During his

practice, Til represented Ted Lerner in connection with Mr. Lerner’s Tysons property and other

developers in Northern Virginia. He formed a partnership (Hazel/Peterson) with Milt Peterson

in 1972 and remained Mr. Peterson’s partner until 1990. During that time Hazel/Peterson

developed approximately 25,000 residential lots in Fairfax County and approximately one

million square feet of office at Tysons McLean a major portion of which was occupied by PRC

and now by the Federal government. He is emeritus member of the Board of Trustees of the

Miller Center Foundation for the University of Virginia; a former Chairman of the Board of the

Corcoran Museum of Art; Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Flint Hill School and a member of

numerous organizations including the Virginia Business Higher Education Council (former chair);

the Virginia Bar Association; the Fairfax Bar Association (former President); former Rector of

George Mason University; former President of the Greater Washington Board of Trade; a

member of the Harvard University Committee on University Resources; and the Board of the

Washington Airports Task force since its inception in 1982. Til is the recipient of a number of

awards including the first George Mason University Gold Medal; Harvard College Richard Flood

Award; Laureate, Washington Business Hall of Fame; Judge Advocates Association Marshall

Lifetime Achievement Award; and the Bizzy Award of Bisnow Media. He received honorary

degrees from the College of William and Mary and Christopher Newport University.

Jon M. Peterson is the Chief Executive Officer of Peterson Companies, one of the largest, most-admired privately-held real estate companies in the Washington, DC area. Founded more than 52 years ago, the company is responsible for some of the most prominent and successful mixed-use retail, residential and office developments in Northern Virginia and Maryland including Fairfax Corner, Fair Lakes, National Harbor, Virginia Gateway, Downtown Silver Spring, RIO, Burke Centre and Tysons McLean Office Park.

Jon has been instrumental in the development of National Harbor from an underutilized waterfront property to a mixed-use waterfront destination that is home to Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, MGM National Harbor, Tanger Outlets and The Capital Wheel.

In 2016, he became Chairman of the Executive Committee which oversees all aspects of the retail, residential, commercial and mixed-use development and management. Prior to that, Jon served as Senior Vice President of Commercial and Business Development which allowed him to develop close ties to the entire metropolitan real estate community. He has led all aspects of build-to-suit, purchase and acquisition, sale, leasing and financing of commercial properties as well as the ground up development of approximately 3.5 million square feet of commercial office product in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Jon graduated from Middlebury College, and he and the Peterson Family believe passionately in giving back to the communities they serve. Jon was a member on the George Mason University (GMU) Board of Visitors as Vice Rector and GMU’s Board of Trustees member from 2014-2018. He was also a board member of Washington First bank from 2014-2018. Currently, Jon serves on numerous philanthropic boards and committees including National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP); NAIOP Northern Virginia; Youth for Tomorrow Board of Trustees; George Mason Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship; Northern Virginia Transportation Alliance; The 2030 Group; The 123 Club; GMU Patriot Club Advisory Board; George Mason Housing, Inc.; Inova Health Systems Investment Advisory Committee; Prince William Commercial Development Committee; Virginia Association for Commercial Real Estate; Prince George’s County Roundtable Board; and Prince George’s County Economic Development Board.

Prem Devadas, President, is a 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry. After ten years with The Potomac Hotel Group in Washington, D.C., he left the Regional Director of Operations position to manage the lodging portfolio for CCA Industries whose holdings include The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, VA, The Hermitage Hotel in Nashville, TN and Kiawah Island Resort near Charleston, SC. As Managing Director, he repositioned the Jefferson Hotel and the Hermitage Hotel through extensive renovations, and achieved Mobil Five Star and AAA Five Diamond awards for the respective properties. At Kiawah Island, he directed the development and successful opening in August 2004 of The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island, the new 255-room ultra-luxury hotel, which is hailed as one of the world's best.

Mr. Coughlan joined TRITEC Real Estate Company as a principal in 1997 and oversees the firm’s Washington, D.C., office and TRITEC projects in the D.C. area. Prior to joining TRITEC, Mr. Coughlan was a real estate asset manager for GE Investments (General Electric Company’s pension funds advisory group), responsible for the portion of GE’s $4 billion real estate portfolio east of the Mississippi River. Previously, Mr. Coughlan worked as a commercial real estate lender with Riggs National Bank in Washington, D.C.

A 1988 graduate of the University of Maryland, Mr. Coughlan also holds a master’s degree in real estate from Johns Hopkins University.

An Alexandria native and Falls Church resident, Andrew has cultivated a unique set of skills, knowledge, relationships, and expertise in

the transactional aspects of real estate law. He has represented clients in 16 Virginia localities, from Arlington County to Winchester, and

specializesin securing zoning approvals and providing counselto residential,commercial, and industrial developers and landowners, advises

clients on all aspects of the land entitlement process and real estate matters, and frequently appears before planning commissions, town

and city councils,county boards of supervisors, localcitizen groups, boards of architecturalreview, and civic and homeowners associations.

Prior to joining The Land Lawyers in 2007, Andrew worked for two members of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, the County

Administrator of Caroline County, Virginia, and former Virginia Governor (now U.S. Senator) Mark Warner. In 2004, Andrew worked

for McGuireWoods Consulting, identifying business expansion opportunities and conducting comprehensive studies for public safety,

education, and transportation construction companies across thecommonwealth.

Andrew is an adjunct professor and teaches classes in political science, urban history, historic preservation, and city and regional planning

at the University of Richmond and the University of Mary Washington. He also leads courses for public and private civil engineers on the

land use entitlement process at the Engineers & Surveyors Institute to improve the quality of their plans and the process by which they are

approved.Having studiedNorthern Virginia’s geography and chronicled itsland development history, Andrew’sextensive knowledge of the

region has played a significant role in assisting clients and navigating issues related to development patterns, transportation concerns, and

environmentalchallenges in multiplejurisdictions.

Asheel Shah joined Kettler in 2007 and is President of the Multifamily Development division of the company. Mr. Shah has over 20 years of experience in the Washington DC real estate market and 14 years of experience dedicated to real estate acquisitions and development. He is responsible for the (i) company’s investment strategy, (ii) new business development activities, (iii) equity capital raising as well as (iv) building and maintaining partner relationships. Additionally, Mr. Shah serves on the Kettler Investment Committee and is principally responsible for making recommendations to the committee.

Mr. Shah earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA., and a master’s of business administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Prior to joining Kettler, Mr. Shah worked at Monument Realty, CarrAmerica Realty Corp. and Arthur Andersen LLP. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, serving on the Washington District Executive Committee and as a mentor for young leaders.

Adrian leads the Project and Development Services team in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions and is a Senior Managing Director of the firm with 25 years in the Real Estate and Construction industries. Adrian manages a team of 50 professionals developing and managing institutional, commercial and government projects.

In 2019, Adrian and the Project Management Team managed over $850 million in design and construction. He has also served as General Contractor on large base building and development projects and has worked for Clark Construction and Turner/Tompkins in Washington, DC representing developers, tenants and building owners in new construction, and the relocation of tenants into space totaling over 10 million square feet.

Evan Pritchard is a member of Venable's Real Estate practice, where he focuses on securing zoning and land use approvals for developers and landowners in jurisdictions throughout Northern Virginia, including Arlington, Fairfax County, the City of Fairfax, and the City of Falls Church, among others. He advises clients on state and federal legislation and regulations affecting real estate development and important changes to local jurisdictions' comprehensive plans and zoning ordinances. His clients include mixed-use project developers, large corporate clients as well as some work for nonprofits and churches.

Prior to joining Venable, Mr. Pritchard spent nearly a decade at a Northern Virginia land use and development firm. An experienced litigator, he worked with the Environment & Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, serving as lead counsel on 25 civil cases in federal court.

As managing research director, Elizabeth oversees the operations of the Transwestern Research Department in the Mid-Atlantic. She is responsible for directing economic and commercial real estate analysis, as well as identifying and forecasting industry trends. Elizabeth brings thought leadership to Transwestern’s Mid-Atlantic research through market research analysis in the quarterly publications and industry-specific white papers. She also serves as a spokesperson to clients and the media on market analysis and trends.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Elizabeth has over 15 years of research and analysis experience on the real estate industry. Previously, she was the National Research Director at Delta Associates, Transwestern’s research affiliate. In this role she oversaw the economic and commercial real estate research for the Washington/Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, and Denver markets. Prior to Delta Associates, Elizabeth was a Needs Assessment Analyst with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), where she managed research projects and provided analysis as well as product recommendations to the home building industry.

EDUCATION

Elizabeth received her Master of Community Planning (MCP) degree from University of Maryland, College Park. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Government from American University.

Ross Draber is the chief operating officer of United Bank, a subsidiary of United Bankshares, Inc., a $19.3 billion bank holding company. He is responsible for the performance and profitability of the Bank, directing commercial and consumer banking sales and service operations throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area. Draber oversees the region’s market presidents and works alongside them to drive growth and develop business strategy and execution plans.

Draber has played an integral role in United Bank’s expansion since assuming the role in 2015. During that time, United Bank has grown to over 70 branches in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. It has the number one deposit market share among community banks in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Statistical Area. Draber is highly involved with the merger and acquisition team and was instrumental in the Bank’s successful acquisitions of Cardinal Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries George Mason Mortgage, LLC and Cardinal Wealth Services, Inc. (2017); Bank of Georgetown (2016); and Virginia Commerce Bank (2014).

Draber previously served as a senior vice president of treasury and corporate finance. In this role, he managed the capital adequacy and regulatory risk of United Bankshares, Inc., serving on the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) and stress test development team. He oversaw the mergers and acquisitions analysis and supervised commercial loan pricing and term sheet structuring within United Bank. Prior to that, Draber held several positions in treasury and credit administration.

Draber is a CFA® charterholder and a 2017 Washington Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree. He graduated from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration.
