Kay Sargent joined Lend Lease in May of 2014 bringing over 30 years of experience in the interiors industry. Prior to joining Lend Lease Kay served as Vice President of Architecture, Design and Workplace Strategies for Teknion, a major furniture manufacturer. In that role Kay lead the effort on research related to workplace, well-being, change management and worked with the team to assist the A+D community and clients with creating the right workplace solutions to meet their business needs. Prior to serving as an Executive at Teknion, Kay was a Principal for Interior Architects of Washington, D.C., where she spearheaded the office’s business operations, workplace strategies and the management of key clients, both corporate and government.

Gary is the Chief Investment Officer and a Partner of Meridian. Gary is responsible for

acquisitions, capital activities and investor relations.  He also serves as Chair of the Investment

Committee. Gary led the fundraising and investing efforts of Meridian Realty Partners I and II,

Meridian’s discretionary private equity funds raised in 2012 and 2016. Between these two funds,

Gary has completed in excess of $2.5 billion in investments with over $1 billion of equity in 15

transactions.

With over 30 years of industry experience, Gary represented Meridian in its first 3 years of

investments as a partner at Vinson & Elkins LLP in Washington, DC. He then headed up the

Real Estate Fund’s Acquisitions Group as a partner at The Carlyle Group, where he led and

completed over $12 billion of investments with $3.4 billion of equity in nearly 200 transactions.

These included the acquisition, development, structured financing, and recapitalization of office,

hotel, retail, residential, industrial, land, senior living, and mixed-use properties. He also led the

firm’s efforts in the formation of Carlyle Realty Partners I, II, III, IV and V – an aggregate of

over $5 billion in investor commitments – before joining The Meridian Group in November

2007.

Gary received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. from The University of Texas

School of Law. Gary is on the Advisory Board for George Washington University Business

School's Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis.

Zach Wade has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate investment and project leasing and has led the company in over $500 million of office acquisitions since joining MRP Realty in 2006. During this time, he also played a major role in MRP’s coworking affiliate company, MAKE Offices, where he served as CEO and treasurer until April 2020. Prior to joining MRP, Zach was Director of Acquisitions for the Mid-Atlantic region of NPV/Direct Invest, an operating partner of Lehman Brothers, and was directly responsible for the acquisition of office and warehouse properties valuing over $120 million. While at Trammell Crow Company, Zach leased over two million square feet of office space in Northern Virginia. He is an Executive Committee Member for the Washington Real Estate Group. Zach received a B.A. in Economics and Communications Studies from the University of North Carolina and a Master of Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University.

Yolanda is the Senior Principal and owner of Hickok Cole Architects, a large commercial architecture and interiors firm located in Washington, DC. She has over 25 years of base building and interior design experience in a variety of project types from large-scale, mixed-use developments to small commercial interiors, both around the world and in the region. She is widely recognized for her leadership in the region’s business community and for her work on many award-winning projects in the commercial/corporate, government, and institutional markets.

Prior to joining Hickok Cole Architects as a partner, Ms. Cole was a partner with Arlington-based LyrixDesign, which merged with Hickok’s firm to become Hickok Cole. LyrixDesign was one of the top 25 woman-owned and interior design firms in the region. She began her career with New York-based Kohn Pederson Fox Associates (KPF), where she was a senior designer of large-scale high-rise office buildings. While with KPF, Ms. Cole served as senior designer for the 1.2-million square-foot Chifley Tower in Sydney, Australia, where she lived for two years; and the award-winning Capital Cities/ABC headquarters in New York.

Steve Smith joined Cooper Carry in 1986 and was named a Principal in 2005. Devoted to the design of multi-tenant office buildings and office campuses, Steve has completed many complex projects during his tenure at Cooper Carry, primarily in mixed-use, office and corporate facilities. A number of Steve’s projects have received recognition including his work on the NASA Langley Research Center Headquarters in Hampton, Virginia which received the 2012 NASA Blue Marble Award for Excellence in Energy and Water Management.

Steve is a member of several organizations including the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and is a registered architect.

Mark L. Wooters is a Director in the Investor Services Group for Cushman & Wakefield’s Mid-Atlantic Region. In this capacity, Mr. Wooters manages relationships with existing investor clients and directs prospecting for potential firm clients across all associated service lines.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Wooters was an Associate Director of Leasing for Vornado/Charles E. Smith, Vornado Realty Trust’s Washington, DC operations. He and his team were responsible for Vornado’s more than 20 million-square-foot office and retail portfolio in the Washington Metropolitan area. He was the Metro DC top producing leasing agent with less than five years of experience in 2011 and 2012. He was the Greater Washington Association of Realtor’s 2012 Rising Star award winner. Before joining Vornado/Charles E. Smith, Mr. Wooters had a successful six-year career at Marsh USA Inc.

Mr. Wooters holds an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University in political economy. He is an active alumni of Georgetown University and sits on the board of Georgetown’s Real Estate Finance Initiative. He is on the Auxiliary Board of the Washington Middle School for Girls.
