Toby Millman is the Regional Partner for Transwestern Development Company in the Mid-Atlantic, where he is responsible for overseeing and directing the company’s development pipeline in the region. Over his nearly 30-year career, Toby has been involved with the development of over 15 million square feet of residential, office, and retail space. Prior to joining Transwestern, Toby was Senior Vice President for Brookfield Properties where he oversaw the development pipeline in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. Prior to Brookfield, he was Senior Vice President at Vornado Realty Trust, creating and leading the multifamily development group for Vornado’s Washington division. Earlier in his career, Toby also owned and operated Agora Development, a development and homebuilding company and worked for Washington-area developers EYA and Abdo Development. Toby earned an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and a master’s degree in city and regional planning from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Mr. Millman holds an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and a Master’s Degree in City Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Brian A. Cotter is an Executive Vice President of Commercial Leasing with JBG SMITH, where he is responsible for the firm’s commercial leasing efforts. Mr. Cotter oversees a portfolio of properties totaling more than 8 million square feet, along with future development projects in National Landing, Reston, and the Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor. He also plays a leading role in the creation and implementation of JBG SMITH’s marketing efforts throughout the DC region. Prior to joining JBG SMITH, Mr. Cotter spent the previous ten years at Tishman Speyer, where he focused on office leasing throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC. During his tenure at Tishman Speyer, he participated in the completion of more than three million square feet of transactions. Prior to Tishman Speyer, Brian worked for CBRE in Tysons Corner where he focused on office research in Northern Virginia. He is an active member of NAIOP Northern Virginia, a board member of CoreNet Global, and is the immediate past president and current board member of the Commercial Real Estate Broker Association of Greater Washington, DC.

Sean Stadler, FAIA, LEED AP is a Design Principal and Managing Principal of WDG where he focuses on elevating the firm’s stature in design, with particular emphasis on enhancing the civic realm. He is directly responsible for leading the planning, re-zoning and design of complex, high-profile urban projects, bolstering WDG’s reputation for sustainable and distinctive, mid- and high-rise structures with contemporary urban sensitivity. Mr. Stadler’s diverse experience includes commercial, residential, hospitality, educational, and sporting facilities. He is a member of the AIA College of Fellows, and he has been honored with an AIA President’s Award for his service to the profession and was recognized as one of the “rising stars of the AEC industry” by Building Design + Construction Magazine in 2009. He is a recipient of the 2011 AIA Young Architects award where the jury noted that “he is a unique individual of outstanding talent and clear commitment.”

Mr. Oliver T. Carr, III has been the President and Chief Executive Officer at Carr Properties Holdings LP since 2004. Mr. Carr co-founded Carr Capital Corporation in 1994 and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer until 2005. He was responsible for managing Carr Capital, and led managing major acquisitions and financial transactions at the firm. Mr. Carr served as a Director of WashingtonFirst Bankshares, Inc. and its subsidiary WashingtonFirst Bank from December 2012 to May 17, 2013. He served as an Independent Director of Alliance Bankshares Corporation since July 2007. Mr. Carr served as a Director of Alliance Bank Corporation since August 15, 2007 and Alliance Bankshares Corporation since July 2007. He received Master of Science in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1992 and his Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies, with a concentration in Economics, from Trinity College in 1987.

Robert Seldin is the Managing Principal of Madison Highland Live Work Lofts and is responsible for leading all company development activity. With 25 years of award-winning apartment development, design, strategy and innovation leadership, Rob is widely recognized as an industry thought leader. With a 100% entitlement success rate on over 13,000 units in high barrier to entry US markets, Rob consistently generates market leading returns at below market cost bases, providing a permanent competitive advantage to his investors. In addition to conventional apartment assets, Rob is also the US Patent Inventor for the proprietary live/work building conversion and construction method and apartment operating system that has become the basis for this industry re-defining asset type. Prior to managing Madison Highland LW Lofts, Rob was the Founder and CEO of Highland Square Holdings, as well as the Founder and CEO of Novus Residences, LLC; both of which were award winning, DMV based, apartment and Live/Work development and operating companies and Head of National Product Design and Senior Vice President of Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Development for Archstone, a premier apartment industry REIT.

Ms. Hartley assumes day-to-day responsibilities for a comprehensive range of complex development activities specific to one or more projects, to expedite and ensure project completion according to specifications. Katie currently oversees many facets of a transformative 6-acre, multi-phase development in Washington, D.C., The Stacks, including the recapitalization, retail development, coordination of stakeholders, and key project decisions. Katie recently worked in consultation with the parent company’s CEO and other staff to establish and execute the development plan for a comprehensive historic renovation of the Stephen Girard Building in Center City Philadelphia from an office building to a boutique hotel, including a historic tax credit financing capital structure. Previous projects also include the repositioning, releasing and refinancing of The Bloc, a 4-acre mixed-use project in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. Upon completion of the renovation, the revitalized retail center was filled with a robust line-up of tenants and the hotel was recognized as the Sheraton Grand Los Angeles, a higher echelon within the Sheraton brand. With a strong understanding of the entitlement, design, financing, leasing and construction processes, Ms. Hartley manages development staff and works closely with design, construction and development professionals to carry out project objectives. Throughout her tenure at National, Katie has remained dedicated to working toward adding value to owners, development partners, and project stakeholders. Katie joined the parent company in 2011, working as a Real Estate Analyst providing market research and investment underwriting support. In 2013, when National Development was formed, Katie transferred to work as a Development Associate and has since been promoted to Development Manager and now Development Director. Previously, she worked in Virginia at Fairfax County’s Department of Planning and Zoning, held internships with KishimotoGordonDalaya Architecture and Devereaux and Associates, and was an Environmental Litigation Support Intern with the Beacon Group, LLC. Ms. Hartley earned a Bachelor of Science in Urban & Environmental Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia.

Mychael D. Cohn is a seasoned real estate professional with over 22 years of industry experience, rooted in a family legacy from Washington, D.C. He has been involved in transactions exceeding $1+ billion throughout his career. As a relationship-driven broker and deal enthusiast, Mychael founded CPG as the brokerage arm of Cohn Property Group and serves as the Principal Broker across Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Mychael’s real estate journey began in 2003, where he focused on land brokerage for residential and mixed-use projects in the suburban and urban markets. He collaborated closely with key figures in the building and development sectors and landowners. In 2009, he expanded his expertise at Sandmar Properties, a mid-sized asset management firm, where he played a pivotal role in growing their portfolio, which included grocery-anchored shopping centers, strip retail centers, mixed-use developments, and assisted living facilities. During his tenure at Sandmar, Mychael also established a brokerage arm, serving as its Principal Broker in his key markets. Mychael holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Richmond, where he was a member of the Division 1 Golf Team. He continues to support his alma mater as an Assistant Coach for the Landon School’s varsity golf team. Outside of work, Mychael is married, has three children, and shares his home with a dog named Champ.

Gary oversees Management and Leasing performance of Willco’s portfolio. In addition, Gary is involved in special development projects. Gary brings 22 years of experience in many facets related to real estate development and investment. He has spent the last 15+ years running Willco Residential (www.willcoDC.com) developing more than $50,000,000 of Multi-Family condos and apartments throughout Washington, DC. Prior to Willco Residential, Gary worked at Axent Realty running the property management and leasing departments. Prior to joining Axent Realty, Gary worked for Newmark Companies in New York City as an Assistant Property Manager for over 1,000,000 SF of commercial space throughout the city. Gary has also been involved in charter schools in Washington, DC serving on the board of KIPP DC and Founding Board Chair of Inspired Teaching Public School. Gary received a BS degree from Syracuse University and a MA degree from Pace University.

Pam Frentzel-Beyme serves as the Director of Real Estate in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development in the District of Columbia, where she oversees the District’s pipeline of development projects and leads DMPED’s planning and policy efforts to spur investment, development, and economic growth. She has over twenty years of real estate development experience, having successfully led and managed almost $2 billion in development projects spanning several sectors, from affordable to luxury housing, office, and mixed-use projects the US and Canada. Prior to joining the Bowser Administration, Pam was the Principal and founder of Capitol Realty Partners, providing development management, land entitlement, strategic planning, and advisory services to developers and investors in various US and Canadian markets. Prior to establishing Capitol Realty Partners, Pam served as a Vice President at Monument Realty, leading a portfolio of DC-area projects from concept development to delivery, and was responsible for managing the firm's risk management program. Earlier in her career, Pam served as an Associate in the real estate practice at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston in Baltimore, where she focused on property acquisitions, dispositions, and affordable housing development. Pam also served as in-house counsel and Vice President of Development at A&R Development Corp. She began her career serving several community-focused development organizations, including the Sacramento Housing & Redevelopment Agency, Enterprise Homes, and Pennrose Properties. Pam has a BA in Government from California State University, Sacramento and received her law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Sean is a visionary architect who has enjoyed an over 30-year career designing mixed-use and residential projects, primarily in Washington, DC. Recognizing in the early 2000s that the District suffered from a lack of housing that would limit its potential to be a prosperous, livable city, he and Jeff Goins began a career- long focus working with the municipal government and private developers on market-rate, luxury, and affordable housing, including residences within mixed- use developments. His entrepreneurial spirit, design and communications skills, and experience with planning and zoning have catalyzed numerous highly successful projects that continue to invigorate the urban public realm and provide satisfying returns for all stakeholders. He is an exceptional designer who combines visionary design with pragmatic considerations through his technical skills and construction experience. He was a vital team member for the award-winning Pepco Headquarters in downtown D.C. He was lead designer of 1827 Wiltberger Street NW, a mixed-use commercial and residential historic landmark building approved by HPRB and BZA, among numerous other residential projects requiring BZA approval. He served as an expert witness for the Ward Four Short Term Housing that was part of the Closing DC General initiative.
