Gary is the Chief Investment Officer and a Partner of Meridian. Gary is responsible for

acquisitions, capital activities and investor relations.  He also serves as Chair of the Investment

Committee. Gary led the fundraising and investing efforts of Meridian Realty Partners I and II,

Meridian’s discretionary private equity funds raised in 2012 and 2016. Between these two funds,

Gary has completed in excess of $2.5 billion in investments with over $1 billion of equity in 15

transactions.

With over 30 years of industry experience, Gary represented Meridian in its first 3 years of

investments as a partner at Vinson & Elkins LLP in Washington, DC. He then headed up the

Real Estate Fund’s Acquisitions Group as a partner at The Carlyle Group, where he led and

completed over $12 billion of investments with $3.4 billion of equity in nearly 200 transactions.

These included the acquisition, development, structured financing, and recapitalization of office,

hotel, retail, residential, industrial, land, senior living, and mixed-use properties. He also led the

firm’s efforts in the formation of Carlyle Realty Partners I, II, III, IV and V – an aggregate of

over $5 billion in investor commitments – before joining The Meridian Group in November

2007.

Gary received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. from The University of Texas

School of Law. Gary is on the Advisory Board for George Washington University Business

School's Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis.

Pamela Tyrrell is Senior Vice President of Multifamily Development for Kettler, responsible for all aspects of both rental and condominium projects from feasibility through construction, lease-up, stabilization and/or sell-out.

Ms. Tyrrell joined Kettler in 1997 and to date and is currently overseeing the development of over 1,800 units totaling nearly $500MM and has several more projects in the pipeline. She has been an integral part of the multifamily development team, structuring new developments, managing pre-development, securing third-party debt and equity, coordinating and overseeing construction, and transitioning completed projects to property management or sales for settlement.

Ms. Tyrrell earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia as well as a master’s in real estate from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to joining Kettler, she handled real estate consulting at Arthur Anderson and multifamily loan underwriting at Freddie Mac. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute where she serves as a young leaders mentor, an urban plan volunteer and a member of the Regionalism Council. She also volunteers as a docent for the Art in the Schools Program at the Greater Reston Arts Center. Ms. Tyrrell lives in Herndon, Va., with her husband and two children.

Michael Abrams serves as Managing Director. In this capacity he is responsible for executing the investment strategy for value-add and development projects in Maryland, DC, and Virginia across all product categories. Michael has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate development and investment, and has been a principal in the construction or acquisition of over two million square feet of real estate.

Mr. Abrams holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University and a Juris Doctorate from Washington College of Law at American University.

Elizabeth has been a planner with WCL&W since 1990. Prior to joining the firm, she was the Vice President of Planning for the Milton Company, a homebuilder in Northern Virginia. Her public sector experience has included working as a Land Use Planner for Fairfax County and as Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Falls Church. Elizabeth specializes in Fairfax County, City of Fairfax, and Town of Herndon matters, helping clients achieve comprehensive plan amendments and zoning approvals and assisting them in the resolution of land development/site plan issues. She has worked on numerous residential, commercial and large scale, mixed-use projects as well as redevelopment transit-oriented projects.

Most recently, Elizabeth has focused on transit-oriented developments for the extension of Metro’s Silver Line through Tysons Corner to Dulles Airport.

Mr. Georgelas, Managing Partner, is responsible for all mixed use development activity in the Mid-Atlantic region. He joined The Georgelas Group in 2000. Mr. Georgelas has over 10 years of real estate development experience in the Washington D.C. area. As development manager he successfully led the first mixed use entitlement case under Arlington County's newly adopted Form Base Code. Mr. Georgelas manages the acquisition, entitlement, financing and development of The Georgelas Group's ambitious mixed use and transit oriented developments. Mr. Georgelas is actively involved in the community and currently sits on numerous boards including: The Washington Airports Taskforce, The Dulles Corridor Rail Association, and is Chairman of The Board of Tysons Tomorrow.

Brian F. Tucker is a Managing Director with JLL's Agency Leasing team, specializing in the representation of major owners, investors, and institutions in the Washington, DC Metro region. Brian's vast prior experience in the development and instutional ownership sectors brings significant added value to his clients in positioning their projects.

Brian joined JLL in August 2016. Prior to joining JLL, Brian was Executive Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield, heading Northern Virginia Agency Leasing. Prior to that, he managed the Northern Virginia office of over 50 real estate professionals. Brian's previous experience included heading Mid-Atlantic Leasing for Beacon Property Company, then the largest public REIT in the US and he was a principal with The Evans Company, then one of the largest development companies in the DC metropolitan area. Brian has leased in excess of 20 million square feet and been involved in many of the largest and more complex leases in the metro area over his 30 year career including major transactions with: CSC, Boeing, SAIC, Booz Allen Hamilton, US Postal Service, The National Science Foundation, Harris Corp., PWC, Deloitte, E&Y, Capital One, WeWork, GSA, Wells Fargo, AOL, Sprint, Nextel, and American Bar Association. His law firm experience includes transactions with: Morgan, Lewis, Bockius; Pillsbury, Shaw, Pittman; Holland & Knight; Morrison Foerster; Littler Mendelson; McGuire Woods; Greenburg Traurig; Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher; and Baker & Hostetler, among others.

As managing research director, Elizabeth oversees the operations of the Transwestern Research Department in the Mid-Atlantic. She is responsible for directing economic and commercial real estate analysis, as well as identifying and forecasting industry trends. Elizabeth brings thought leadership to Transwestern’s Mid-Atlantic research through market research analysis in the quarterly publications and industry-specific white papers. She also serves as a spokesperson to clients and the media on market analysis and trends.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Elizabeth has over 15 years of research and analysis experience on the real estate industry. Previously, she was the National Research Director at Delta Associates, Transwestern’s research affiliate. In this role she oversaw the economic and commercial real estate research for the Washington/Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, and Denver markets. Prior to Delta Associates, Elizabeth was a Needs Assessment Analyst with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), where she managed research projects and provided analysis as well as product recommendations to the home building industry.

EDUCATION

Elizabeth received her Master of Community Planning (MCP) degree from University of Maryland, College Park. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Government from American University.

She also serves as a Studio Director and oversees the integration of base building and interior work for the government and private sector. A member of Leadership Washington and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Lisa has spoken about real estate and design at events for organizations such as ASAE and NAIOP.

Stephanie joined LandDesign in 2006 as Director of Planning, Urban Design and

Landscape Architecture in the Asheville, NC office, and is currently a Partner in

the Washington, D.C. office. As a professional landscape architect and dedicated

community advocate for greenways, complete streets and green infrastructure,

Stephanie is focused in integrating economically viable and environmentally

sustainable community and site design through all of the projects on which

she participates. She believes strongly that social well being is created by

implementing proper planning, design and construction into our built environment

at all scales, whether that is integrating local greenways and trail linkages into a

high density urban area or designing a an active public realm streetscape near

a major metro station. Her current work includes several large scale mixed use

urban design / landscape architecture projects in the Tysons and DC metro area.

Stephanie has also lead many public planning projects with a community

participation process. This includes an extensive community involvement process

for City of Asheville’s signature River Arts District multi-modal transportation

project which consists of complex NEPA, state, and federal agency submittal

and review requirements balanced with other design factors such as public

arts, local character, economic development, environmental sustainability,

recreational opportunities, and resource preservation. A key design project in

Stephanie’s portfolio is Camp Lake James, a private recreation center completed

for Crescent Resources in NC. This project has received several awards for

its sustainable landscape, irrigation and hardscape design that evokes the rich

historical character of a rural mountain retreat with distinctive details hand

crafted by local artisans and creative contractors and water conservation

methods. Prior to LandDesign, Stephanie worked as a landscape architect in

Southern California on several award-winning master planned communities. Her

17 years of experience include park planning and design, community master

plans, site planning, design guidelines, and streetscapes, with an emphasis on

utilizing green techniques such as best practices for storm water harvesting and

urban tree planting details. Ms. Pankiewicz earned a Bachelor of Landscape

Architecture from the University of Georgia with honors is a registered landscape

architect in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and California.

She is also a member of several professional organizations, including the

American Society of Landscape Architects and Urban Land Institute.

Michael Caplin is President of Tysons Partnership – an association of business, government and community leaders working together to redevelop Tysons, Virginia from a 1970s business park into an exciting, sustainable 21st century downtown. Caplin is responsible for all aspects of operations, including membership, programs, communications, government and community relations.

His career experience includes service as a public defender, a federal prosecutor, performing arts counselor and producer, a program director at the Smithsonian Institution, and senior executive and advisor for array of nonprofit agencies working in the arts, education and social services. He is a member of the George Mason University Center for Social Entrepreneurship Global Advisory Board; the FONZ Board; and the U.S. Presidential Scholars Commission, appointed by the President in 2010.

Ross Draber is the chief operating officer of United Bank, a subsidiary of United Bankshares, Inc., a $19.3 billion bank holding company. He is responsible for the performance and profitability of the Bank, directing commercial and consumer banking sales and service operations throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area. Draber oversees the region’s market presidents and works alongside them to drive growth and develop business strategy and execution plans.

Draber has played an integral role in United Bank’s expansion since assuming the role in 2015. During that time, United Bank has grown to over 70 branches in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. It has the number one deposit market share among community banks in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Statistical Area. Draber is highly involved with the merger and acquisition team and was instrumental in the Bank’s successful acquisitions of Cardinal Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries George Mason Mortgage, LLC and Cardinal Wealth Services, Inc. (2017); Bank of Georgetown (2016); and Virginia Commerce Bank (2014).

Draber previously served as a senior vice president of treasury and corporate finance. In this role, he managed the capital adequacy and regulatory risk of United Bankshares, Inc., serving on the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) and stress test development team. He oversaw the mergers and acquisitions analysis and supervised commercial loan pricing and term sheet structuring within United Bank. Prior to that, Draber held several positions in treasury and credit administration.

Draber is a CFA® charterholder and a 2017 Washington Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree. He graduated from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration.

Jeff Roman joined Stream Realty Partners as a Co-Managing Director in March 2022. He is responsible for helping lead Northern Virginia’s leasing and landlord representation efforts with his creative strategies and collaborative approaches. He is an expert in leasing, build-to-suits, and joint ventures.

Prior to joining Stream, Jeff spent 35 years at CBRE, where he last served as a Senior Vice President in the Northern Virginia market. He was responsible for negotiating over 10 million square feet of transactions worth more than $3 billion during his tenure. He briefly worked in the National Accounts Division of IBM before beginning his career in commercial real estate.
