Jason joined AREP in 2015 and serves as Vice President of Leasing for the organization.

Jason’s responsibilities include all aspects of the organization's leasing operations, from

procuring new tenants at AREP properties to working with existing tenants to accommodate

their immediate and long-term requirements for office space within the AREP portfolio.

Prior to joining AREP, Jason served as Director of Leasing for Washington REIT where he was responsible for over 3 million SF across Northern Virginia. Jason had spent the previous ten years with Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) where he focused on agency leasing as well as tenant representation.

Greg Van Wie is Vice President, Director of Development for Jefferson Apartment Group headquartered in McLean, Virginia. He is responsible for underwriting new development projects and overseeing site acquisition, development and construction activities. While with Jefferson Apartment Group, Mr. Van Wie has had direct oversight of multiple projects, totaling almost 1,000 units of new development. Mr. Van Wie has ten-plus years of industry experience in the development, construction, and operation of large-scale multi-family and commercial developments. Prior to joining Jefferson Apartment Group, Mr. Van Wie was employed by Bonaventure Realty Group, where he served as the Asset Manager of a 13-property portfolio of apartment communities totaling over 4,000 units.

Prior to joining Bonaventure in 2009, Mr. Van Wie worked for JPI East and Clark Construction in multiple preconstruction and project management roles throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Mr. Van Wie graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s of Urban and Environmental Planning and received a Masters of Science in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University.

Mr. Van Wie is a member of the Executive Committee of the JHU Real Estate Alumni Forum. He is also a Co-Chair of DCBIA’s Young Leader’s Committee and a member of the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Van Wie is married with one child and lives in the District of Columbia.

Jim has served as President and CEO of Jefferson Apartment Group (JAG) since establishing the company is 2009. Jim is responsible for corporate strategy, including all operations and investment decisions. He leads the Executive and Investment Committees, as well as JAG’s Advisory Board.

Jim is an industry veteran with over thirty-two years of experience in real estate development focused on multifamily communities. Prior to forming Jefferson Apartment Group, he was President and Managing Partner at JPI East.

Additionally, Jim serves on the Executive Committee of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Multifamily Leadership Board. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), as well as a variety of local real estate and charitable organizations. A graduate of Southern Methodist University with a BA in Business Administration, Finance and Economics, Jim is married and has three children.

Anthony Chang is the Managing Director for Stream’s Northern Virginia Office. Anthony will lead strategic direction and operations, with primary responsibilities to include expanding Stream’s leasing, property management, acquisition, and development services while building Stream’s brand presence in Northern Virginia.

Prior to Stream, Anthony was a Vice President at WashREIT where, among his accomplishments he co-founded its flexible office program Space+. Prior to WashREIT, he was a leasing broker with Cassidy Turley where he added more than 2.5 million square feet in agency listings in less than three years. Throughout his career, Chang has executed or advised on over $800 million in lease transactions. He serves on the boards of NAIOP Northern Virginia, Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Fairfax County Economic Advisory Committee. In addition, Chang is a trustee of ULI and serves as the Chair for Mission Advancement for ULI Washington.

Mary-Claire Burick is a dynamic and strategic leader whose focus is on building engagement and leading change. As President of the Rosslyn Business Improvement District, she is responsible for leading daily operations and creating programs that define, enhance and continually improve Rosslyn for those who work, live, visit and do business there. Her leadership in the area of business engagement has been recognized within the region, and has focused on building relationships and retaining businesses in Rosslyn, as well as working with the real estate community, property owners and Arlington County to welcome new businesses to Rosslyn.

Previously, Mary-Claire was President of MC Strategy, a consulting firm helping leaders build healthy and effective organizations. Prior, she was Vice President of Operations for Allbritton Communications, managing ABC-7, NewsChannel 8 and POLITICO. Earlier in her career, she helped launch the Fox NewsChannel, where she served as Operations Manager.

She was named Washington Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business and has a certificate in Organizational Consulting and Change Leadership from Georgetown University and a BA in Communications from University of Delaware.

An Alexandria native and Falls Church resident, Andrew has cultivated a unique set of skills, knowledge, relationships, and expertise in

the transactional aspects of real estate law. He has represented clients in 16 Virginia localities, from Arlington County to Winchester, and

specializesin securing zoning approvals and providing counselto residential,commercial, and industrial developers and landowners, advises

clients on all aspects of the land entitlement process and real estate matters, and frequently appears before planning commissions, town

and city councils,county boards of supervisors, localcitizen groups, boards of architecturalreview, and civic and homeowners associations.

Prior to joining The Land Lawyers in 2007, Andrew worked for two members of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, the County

Administrator of Caroline County, Virginia, and former Virginia Governor (now U.S. Senator) Mark Warner. In 2004, Andrew worked

for McGuireWoods Consulting, identifying business expansion opportunities and conducting comprehensive studies for public safety,

education, and transportation construction companies across thecommonwealth.

Andrew is an adjunct professor and teaches classes in political science, urban history, historic preservation, and city and regional planning

at the University of Richmond and the University of Mary Washington. He also leads courses for public and private civil engineers on the

land use entitlement process at the Engineers & Surveyors Institute to improve the quality of their plans and the process by which they are

approved.Having studiedNorthern Virginia’s geography and chronicled itsland development history, Andrew’sextensive knowledge of the

region has played a significant role in assisting clients and navigating issues related to development patterns, transportation concerns, and

environmentalchallenges in multiplejurisdictions.

As the Chairman of the Shooshan Company, John Shooshan is responsible for directing and implementing the strategic objectives and goals of the company. His active and dedicated leadership is vital in generating business opportunities and fostering community relationships. John's experience and in-depth knowledge provide guidance for the shared goals of the Shooshan Company team and its partners.

John continually strives to assure that the company presents a strong, positive image to all relevant stakeholders. In 2o08, the Shooshan Company completed the Liberty Center North project, a 1 million square foot, mixed-use project consisting of office, residential and retail space. Today, Mr. Shooshan is leading the Shooshan Company in the completion of the Liberty Center development; Liberty Center South, a 5.35 acre mixed-use project, consists of about 1.2 million SF of density among a significant two acre open park space in the heart of Ballston. In addition, under John's leadership the Shooshan Company recently was reasonable for the redevelopment of Marymount University's Ballston mixed-use campus and has a pipeline of new projects planned; including The Clarendon West project, located in the heart of Clarendon.

John founded the Shooshan Company in 1986. In 2007, he helped form Kodiak Realty Services, LW by combining the property management and engineering services of the Shooshan Company and Fred Schnider Investment Group to create a property management firm to focus on the developed properties. Previously, he served as Mid-Atlantic Regional Partner for Faison & Associates, Inc., Vice President of Development for Cadillac Fairview Urban Development, Inc. John began his career at the Oliver Carr Company, which became Carr America, where he was the Director of Marketing and Leasing. In these capacities, he gained extensive experience in development, financing, property management and acquisitions.

By far, John's proudest achievement is his family. He and his wife Marcia have been happily married for 44 years and have two children and three grandchildren. Their daughter Kelly serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Shooshan Company, and son Kevin is the Managing Director of Kodiak Realty Services and also serves as the Director of Marketing and leasing for The Shooshan Company. Both attended Georgetown University and have followed in their parent's footsteps in multiple ways, including their dedication to the family business, community involvement and charity work.

Jo Gavigan, Senior Vice President with Bozzuto Management Company, is an accredited real estate executive with over 15 years of experience managing portfolios of conventional apartment communities in urban and suburban markets. Her current portfolio consists of 48 properties throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., totaling over 15,000 units. Her focus at Bozzuto has been in lease-up properties in the Class A market as well as the re-positioning of transition takeover assets, resulting in value optimization. Jo has developed award winning teams and properties during her time with the company.

Prior to joining the Bozzuto Group, she held the position of Portfolio Manager for Braemore Property Management in Edinburgh, Scotland where she gained exceptional international knowledge. Additionally, Jo has also held various positions with Equity Residential as well as Lincoln Property Company throughout her career in property management.

Joe Muffler serves as Senior Managing Director of Development for Mill Creek Residential, Mid-Atlantic. He is responsible for managing all aspects of the development process, including site acquisition, design, entitlements, financing, and eventual disposition for Mill Creek Mid-Atlantic communities.

Mr. Muffler joined Mill Creek as an Associate in 2013, and prior to his role in Development, was responsible for developing company-wide research, portfolio allocation, and investor relation strategies. Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Muffler served as Director of Operations for the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast divisions of Bisnow Media, Inc. He began his career at Jones Lang LaSalle, as an Analyst on the Washington, D.C. Investment Sales team, participating in approximately $1.0 billion in asset transactions.

Mr. Muffler graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature.

Steve Smith joined Cooper Carry in 1986 and was named a Principal in 2005. Devoted to the design of multi-tenant office buildings and office campuses, Steve has completed many complex projects during his tenure at Cooper Carry, primarily in mixed-use, office and corporate facilities. A number of Steve’s projects have received recognition including his work on the NASA Langley Research Center Headquarters in Hampton, Virginia which received the 2012 NASA Blue Marble Award for Excellence in Energy and Water Management.

Steve is a member of several organizations including the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and is a registered architect.

Jon is a shareholder practicing in the areas of land use and zoning, real estate, estate planning and wealth management. He represents regional and national developers, property owners, and business owners in all aspects of the land use and zoning process for their commercial, office, residential and mixed-use projects. Jon also works with non-profit organizations on affordable housing projects. In addition, he regularly represents clients on matters involving property transactions, land use, and zoning laws and issues.

As a lifelong resident of Arlington County, Jon has a deep understanding of the county, its history, and its aspirations. This knowledge and experience gives him a unique perspective and understanding of the political and governmental issues that affect his clients interests in all aspects of real estate development. He maintains working relationships with regional and local government officials and county staff to ensure he can best advocate for his clients’ needs. Jon is a LEED Accredited Professional with knowledge of the law as it relates to the design, construction, and operation of green buildings.

Kim Klingler is a community leader and experienced professional who is passionate about convening and connecting stakeholders across Arlington County, and throughout the Region. She currently presides over the Columbia Pike Partnership as the Executive Director. Kim has also served as the Chair of both Arlington’s Emergency Preparedness Advisory Commission (EPAC) and Arlington Committee of 100. She also served as President of the Leeway Overlee Civic Association (LOCA), Compliance Officer and EMT/FF at the Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department (FCVFD), Division Director at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting. Kim was named to Arlington’s Inaugural 40 Under 40 Class and is an alumna of the Leadership Arlington Class of 2007. Kim is a graduate of the Sorensen Political Leadership Program (PLP) at the University of Virginia (UVA) and has a BS from James Madison University (JMU). Her hobbies include coaching gymnastics, personal training, being outdoors, and keeping active with her new COVID pup Coco.

Spanning a professional management career of over 30 years, David offers knowledge of real estate investment and management, with a particular focus on senior housing, marketing, and the effective use of technology for operations and project management.

David and his brother Edward are partners of BM Smith, a real estate investment and management company founded in 1908 by their grandfather. They also are partners in the management of the Smith family properties, managed through BM Smith. David is currently serving as President of BM Smith.

Prior to his full time involvement at BM Smith, Mr. Peete pursued a successful career at Sunrise Senior Living, a national and international leader in senior housing with over 450 properties under management, many of them also owned and developed by the firm. During his tenure Mr. Peete first served as an Executive Director and was then promoted to Vice President of Marketing. Later he served as Vice President of Knowledge Management, overseeing the establishment of technology-based operating systems for management of properties and staff development. Sunrise was acquired by Ventas, a public REIT (NYSE:VTR).

Mr. Peete was also the founder of Assisted Living University and a Senior Vice President of Acacia Living. Both firms focused on information technology as key to effective education and care management within the senior community. David was closely involved in business development, marketing, technology, and operations on a day-to-day basis in both of these ventures.

David is a recipient of the National Associate of Home Builders 2004 “ICON of the Industry Award” as well as over 35 national and international awards for multi-media, education-based communications and program development throughout the senior living industry.

Mr. Peete has been an active member of the Washington Forrest Foundation board of directors since 1996 as part of his long-standing commitment to the Smith family tradition of community involvement and investment in Northern Virginia. He is presently Vice Chair of the Foundation. He also serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for the Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization (CPRO).

Mr. Peete is married and the father of three children. He coached community-based youth soccer and tennis teams in Fairfax, VA from 2003-2010.

David holds an undergraduate degree from Tufts University and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Yale University.

Pillsbury partner James Bobotek concentrates his practice on a variety of construction and

Jamie guides clients through all phases of development and construction of commercial properties,

including preparation, review and negotiation of development, design, construction, design-build, and

Represented a telecommunications provider in successful prosecution of its claims against its E&O

Eric Morales is the Maryland Market President of United Bank, a premier community bank headquartered in Greater Washington, D.C. As Market President, he is responsible for the

management and operation of all nine United Bank offices in the Maryland Market, including maintaining client relationships and new business development. Morales has an extensive background in commercial real estate lending, having financed the acquisition and construction of multiple commercial and residential real estate projects in and around the D.C. metro area.

He is also active in the local community, notably with United’s financial literacy programs, educating local youth through the Bank’s Teach Children to Save initiative, and volunteering with

Junior Achievement Finance Park. He has also served on the board of numerous organizations, most recently with the Catholic Business Network of Montgomery County and the Arlington
