J. Stephen Jones, MD, is President and CEO of Inova, the Washington, DC region’s leading not-for-profit healthcare system serving more than 2 million people annually in its five hospitals and numerous ambulatory programs. He is also Professor of Urology at the University of Virginia, which is working with Inova to bring undergraduate medical education and expanded research to the flagship Inova Fairfax Medical Campus.

Stephen previously served as President of Cleveland Clinic Regional Hospitals and Family Health Centers. He also served as Professor of Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. He was previously Department Chair and held the Leonard Horvitz and Samuel Miller Distinguished Chair in Urologic Oncology. This endowed chair has now been renamed the J. Stephen Jones Distinguished Chair in Urology Research, and is to be held in perpetuity by the sitting Cleveland Clinic Urology Department chair, currently Dr. Georges Pascal-Haber.

Stephen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology at the J. William Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Arkansas and his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). After residency at Vanderbilt University, he joined the Springfield Clinic/St. John’s Health System in Missouri. Under his chairmanship, the Department of Urological Surgery became the highest rated community urology program in America, according to U.S. News & World Report in 1999.

He has published over 200 peer-reviewed manuscripts and over 40 book chapters. The American Urological Association named him the next Editor of its journal, Urology Practice, in 2018. He has previously been Editor of Urology & Kidney Disease News, Associate Editor for Renal & Urology News and Urology, and has served on the Editorial Board of BJU International, formerly British Journal of Urology. He has published two books for the lay patient population and is editor of five medical textbooks. In 2010, Stephen earned the distinction of admittance to Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honor Society, as one of the top-achieving 20% of business school graduates in the nation upon graduation from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.

Castle Connolly consistently lists him as one of America’s Top Doctors, signifying the top 1% of all cancer physicians in addition to the top 1% of urologists in the nation. He also was elected to the AMGA (American Medical Group Association) Board of Directors in 2015 and its executive committee in 2018.

Cameron Pratt has more than 15 years of real estate investment and operating experience and has been with Foulger-Pratt since 2004. As CEO, Mr. Pratt establishes the Company’s strategy and vision and has oversight of all Foulger-Pratt operating and investing entities.

Prior to joining Foulger-Pratt, Mr. Pratt worked in real estate development in California, as well as real estate investment banking and private equity in New York. Mr. Pratt holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Represented a telecommunications provider in successful prosecution of its claims against its E&O

insurer confirming coverage for class action claims alleging cyber-related activities.

Obtained significant recovery under a builders risk policy on behalf of a contractor for a delay claim

arising out of a subcontractor's provision of defective materials.

Procured multi-million dollar defense and indemnity recovery under "personal injury" CGL coverage

relating to a discrimination suit brought by the U.S. Department of Justice on behalf of multiple claimants.

Obtained recovery under an event cancellation policy for two class action suits brought as a result of

logistical difficulties in connection with a client's presidential inauguration-related experiential student

conference.

Obtained full property loss and business interruption coverage, as well as defense and indemnity

coverage for third-party suits, arising out of a catastrophic fire at a defense contractor's warehouse

facility.

Attained defense and indemnity coverage for an international construction company arising out of

concrete plant emissions.

Obtained defense and indemnity coverage under a professional liability policy for an engineering

company faced with excess exposure.

Recovered full pre-suit indemnity for a government contractor in a construction claim related to faulty

subcontractor work.

With a commitment to ensuring every child’s opportunity at success, protecting Alexandria’s long-term fiscal health and investing in the infrastructure that improves our quality of life, Justin Wilson was elected Mayor of the City of Alexandria in November of 2018 and re-elected in November 2021.

As Mayor, Justin represents the City regionally on the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments Board of Directors. Within the City, Justin leads the City-Schools Subcommittee, the ARHA Redevelopment Committee, the Quality of Life Committee, Legislative Subcommittee, the Audit Committee, the Employee Pension/Compensation Committee, the Potomac Yard Metro Implementation Advisory Group and the Combined Sewer Outfall Project Review Team Workgroup.

An experienced community leader, Justin previously served 8 years on the City Council prior to his election as Mayor, including service from 2016 – 2019 as Alexandria’s Vice Mayor. Justin’s leadership has led to new investments in schools, transportation and environmental infrastructure. He has worked to expand early childhood education, address growing student enrollment, accelerate economic growth, advance climate policy as well as protecting and expanding housing affordability.

Prior to his election to the City Council, Justin served as the Chair of the Alexandria Transit Company Board of Directors, which operates the City’s DASH bus service, and served on the Budget & Fiscal Affairs Advisory Committee. His neighbors recognized his leadership and twice elected him president of the Del Ray Citizens Association.

Justin chaired the City’s effort to promote participation in the 2010 decennial Census, and he represented Alexandria on the Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority—preserving and managing 11,000 acres of open space and 24 regional parks.

He was an appointee of Governor Mark Warner to the state’s Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice and later to the Board of Juvenile Justice—a position he was re-appointed to by Governor Tim Kaine.

He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University, and is a Fellow of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia.

Justin is employed by the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) as a Senior Director.

An avid runner, Justin has completed eight marathons, and he lives in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria with his wife, Alex, a life-long Alexandrian, and their son, Eli and daughter Lena, both Alexandria City Public School students.

A founding principal of Stonebridge, Douglas Firstenberg directs firmwide strategic planning, oversees landmark development projects, and plays a key role in major transaction negotiations. Under his leadership, Stonebridge has developed several of the region’s most innovative and successful urban mixed-use properties, including breakthrough transit-oriented developments and public/private initiatives.

Mr. Firstenberg has more than thirty-five years of real estate industry experience, leading complex development projects totaling more than 10 million square feet and $4 billion in value. Mr. Firstenberg started his career with K.S. Sweet Associates, a Philadelphia-based real estate and investment firm where he was named partner. In 1993, he co-founded Stonebridge Associates in Washington, D.C., and led the transformation of the firm into an urban infill mixed-use developer. Mr. Firstenberg graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts and currently serves in leadership roles of several industry and charitable organizations.

Ms. Edelson has over 12 years of real estate experience including acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, and 3rd party joint ventures. She is currently involved in projects in McLean and Reston, Virginia as well as several projects in close-in, suburban Maryland, with a focus on mixed-use, infill developments at transit-oriented sites. Ms. Edelson serves on the Boards of the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Virginia Affordable Housing Alliance, the Literacy Lab and is a member of the Junior League of Washington. Stephanie is President & CEO of the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership (AEDP). Appointed by the Board of Directors in April 2015, Stephanie has held leadership roles in the organization since 2005. In her position, Stephanie provides strategic and financial oversight to two hosted organizations: SBDC and Capitol Post. She also offers advice and information to the Alexandria City Council, Planning Commission and City Departments. Stephanie serves in various capacities on Boards, Commissions and Committees related to economic development, marketing and business throughout the Washington, DC region. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science in City & Regional Planning from the University of Virginia, and an MBA from the UVA's Darden School of Business. Managing Partner and CEO Jim Simmons serves as head of Asland Capital Partners’ investment committee and runs the day-to-day operations of the firm. With more than two decades of real estate investment experience, Mr. Simmons focuses on sourcing and structuring transactions through his deep relationships across the public and private sectors. Mr. Simmons was most recently a partner at Ares Management, where he ran the $485 million Ares Domestic Emerging Markets Fund, and he was previously a partner at Apollo Real Estate Advisors. Prior to his private equity fund management career, Mr. Simmons was president and CEO of the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone Development Corporation. He held previous roles at Bankers Trust and Salomon Smith Barney. Mr. Simmons holds a BS degree from Princeton University, an MS from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Master of Management degree from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Mark leads the Eastern U.S. for Lowe with responsibility for all commercial activities, includingm investments, development and management. With “hands-on” involvement, Mark has completed many large and complex projects as significant place-making and mixed-use developments involving multiple asset types including office, residential, retail, and hospitality uses. Some notable multi-family projectsinclude The Hepburn, CityVista, Gallery 64, and multiple office-to-residential conversions including Park & Ford in Alexandria, VA, and The George in Montgomery County, MD. Current projects include the development of a 500-unit residential building in partnership with Howard University and the redevelopment of 1250 Maryland Avenue, another office-to-residential conversion project. Mark also leads Concord Communities, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lowe, dedicated to building and preserving affordable housing. Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Federal City Council and board member of the Southwest BID.

Bob joined Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley & Walsh in 2015 and is an associate in the firm’s Land Use & Zoning practice group. His practice focuses on securing zoning and land use entitlements including rezonings, special exceptions, special use permits and development special use permits in Fairfax County, the City of Alexandria, the City of Fairfax and the Town of Vienna. Prior to joining Walsh Colucci, Bob gained valuable experience representing condominium and homeowners associations throughout Northern Virginia. Bob graduated from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC after earning a Bachelor’s degree in government from the College of William and Mary. He and his family currently reside in Fairfax County.

Mike Proctor is the market president for the Arlington/Alexandria region of United Bank, a subsidiary of United Bankshares, Inc., a nearly $30 billion bank holding company. He is responsible for the management and operation of all United Bank offices in the Arlington/Alexandria areas, including client relationships and new business development. Proctor has financed the acquisition and construction of multiple commercial and residential real estate projects in and around the D.C. metro area. In addition, he has worked with various operating companies to provide working capital and term financing. He is a graduate of the RMA-ECU Commercial Lending School, past chairman of the United Bank Leadership Development Program and a member of the Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce. Prior to his role as market president, Proctor served as a commercial lender and a credit analyst with United Bank. He graduated with a degree in finance from West Virginia University.

Sharon has over thirty-five years of experience in commercial real estate in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area including leasing, marketing, acquisitions, dispositions, property management and asset management. In 2004, she co-founded Meany & Oliver Companies, Inc. to focus on providing brokerage, investment, and consulting services to achieve extraordinary results for both commercial real estate owners and tenants. Sharon is a past president of the Commercial Real Estate Brokers Association, past president of NAIOP DC MD, and past president and founding member of Commercial Real Estate Women – Suburban Maryland. Additionally, she is a life member of the Board of Directors of NAIOP Northern Virginia. She has received numerous awards including Realtor of the Year, Leasing Transaction of the Year, Sales Transaction of the Year, and Top Regional Developer Agent and is a life member of the GWCAR multi-million dollar leasing awards club. Sharon is the Chair of the Board of Advisors for The George Washington University Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis and a past member of the Board of Advisors for The George Washington University School of Business.
