Vicki Davis

Vicki Davis is responsible for managing the acquisition, planning, design, and

implementation of all Urban Atlantic projects, and asset management of properties that

the company owns and its Mid-City Community CDE investment portfolio. With over 28

years of experience in real estate development, she formerly served as Deputy Director

of the Maryland Housing Fund and Maryland DHCD -Division of Credit Assurance. Her

experience also includes portfolio management for MNC Financial-South Charles Realty

and multifamily development for Trammell Crow Residential.

As President of Urban Atlantic Development, Ms. Davis has managed development of

over $2 billion in real estate projects and asset managed over $4 billion in real estate

investments. She has developed over 6,000 multifamily residential units and 600,000

commercial square feet for Urban Atlantic, including eight HOPE VI mixed-finance public

housing redevelopment projects, as well as transit-oriented mixed-use projects.

Ms. Davis holds a MBA in Finance from American University, an MS in Engineering &

Construction Management from University of Texas, and a BS in Civil Engineering from

the University of Maryland. She taught for 12 years in the Johns Hopkins Real Estate

MBA program and is a LEED AP.

Matt Robinson

Matt Robinson has 17 years of experience in the real estate industry and pursues multi-family residential, mixed-use acquisition and development opportunities for MRP Realty. Since joining the firm in 2007, Matt has overseen the entitlement, development, and repositioning of over 3.2 million square feet including over 1,100 units. In his seven years at TCC prior to joining MRP, Matt developed a total of 1.5 million square feet comprising 924 residential units and 542,000 square feet of retail and commercial space totaling over $654 million. Before joining TCC, he was an architect with Dimella Shaffer Associates in Boston, Massachusetts focused primarily on age-restricted residential and hotel projects. Matt graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University and received his MSRED from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Based in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area, Susan Mello heads Walker & Dunlop’s entire Capital Markets platform. Ms. Mello brings over 28 years of experience in real estate investments and joint ventures, and she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s structured debt and equity transactions through a wide range of capital sources.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Ms. Mello served as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at PGIM Real Estate where she oversaw a series of U.S. multi-product closed end equity funds, with direct responsibility for capital raising, investment strategy, portfolio construction and investment selection. During her time at PGIM Real Estate, Ms. Mello held a variety of roles in transactions, portfolio, and asset management, and was directly involved in the structuring, negotiation, and management of more than $5 billion of value-add investments. Prior to PGIM, Ms. Mello was a partner at McCarter & English, LLP law firm where she worked extensively on structuring real estate investments and joint ventures on behalf of owners.

Ms. Mello earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from Rutgers University, an LLM in taxation from New York University, and a JD with high honors from Rutgers University School of Law. She is a member of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC); the Urban Land Institute (ULI), where she is on the leadership team for Urban Development and Mixed Used Council, Gold; the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); and the tax policy committee of the Real Estate Roundtable. Ms. Mello is also active in diversity and inclusion efforts within the industry and is a member of NMHC’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, as well as the Steering Committee for KPMG's Women in Real Estate.

Jason Hernandez

Jason leads the originations platform in the Americas for Nuveen Real Estate and is focused on further expanding the firm’s third-party real estate debt business.

Prior to joining the business in 2018, Jason was a managing director at ACORE Capital where he led a team responsible for the sourcing and execution of structured finance investments, including mortgage, mezzanine and preferred equity. As one of the initial employees of ACORE, he helped grow the firm from a start-up, to one of the largest private lenders in the United States, with $9 billion AUM in just under three years. Jason has also held a number of roles at GE Capital Real Estate. Most recently he was a senior director in the strategic capital group focused on whole loan origination with institutional clients.

Jason graduated with a B.S. from Illinois State University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School. He is a graduate of the GE Capital Financial Management Programme with roles including finance, underwriting and M&A and is a member of Commercial Real Estate Finance Council.

Scott Melnick

Scott Melnick formed Melnick Real Estate Advisors (MREA) in 2018 to offer clients a

leading multifamily brokers in the nation, has transacted over $25 billion of transactions

throughout his career including the largest transactions for their respective years in the

Washington and Baltimore metro regions, as well as Northern Virginia.

Scott created and led dominant multifamily sales teams at Transwestern, JLL, and

Berkadia from 1999-2018, and immediately prior to forming MREA Scott led Berkadia’s

national Institutional Client Services platform for investment sales and debt.

Scott earned an MBA/Finance from New York University and a BA/Economics from

Ithaca College and also completed specialized real estate coursework at Cornell

University and NYU Law School. Scott is an active Advisory Member of the National

Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and has been a prominent speaker at NMHC

national and local conferences.

Jason Morgan

As President of Morgan Properties Special Situations and Principal of Morgan Properties, Jason’s primary responsibilities involve sourcing, underwriting, and executing multifamily acquisition and debt investment opportunities. Jason joined the Company in May 2017 when Morgan Properties was the 25th largest apartment owner in the country and has been instrumental in elevating the Company to the second largest with over 95,000 units and over $16 billion in assets. Over the past 4 years, Morgan Properties has acquired over $7B in acquisition volume comprising over 60,000 units. Jason sits on Morgan Properties’ Investment Committee where he evaluates all the Company’s acquisition and debt investment opportunities.

Morgan Properties Special Situations invests in equity recapitalizations, fixed income securities, and other alternative multifamily investment opportunities. Jason has put together a team and developed the processes that Morgan Properties has utilized to become a major investor in the Freddie Mac K-series CMBS space. Since launching its Special Situations platform in 2017, Morgan Properties has executed multiple recapitalizations of portfolios valued at over $3.5 Billion and closed on acquisitions of 29 Freddie Mac K-Series B-Pieces across $28 Billion in UPB and 1,280 properties. Morgan's B-Piece portfolio has a market value in excess of $1 Billion.

Prior to joining Morgan Properties, Jason worked at Sculptor Capital Management, formerly known as Och-Ziff Capital Management, where he focused on equity investments, preferred equity structures, mezzanine financing, and senior loans across traditional and niche real estate asset classes. Before Sculptor, Jason worked at Goldman Sachs in the real estate investment banking group.

Jason received a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves on The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia’s Board, the Federation Housing Inc. Board, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia’s (CHOP) Facilities Expansion Advisory Committee, and the Jewish Federation Real Estate Committee. Allina Boohoff, managing director, is the head of asset management’s Multifamily Sector at J.P.Morgan Asset Management – Global Real Assets. An employee since 2003, she is responsible for leading the asset management efforts for the group’s multifamily portfolio in the U.S., a 50,000 unit, 190-property portfolio valued at $14 billion. Allina is responsible for major joint venture partner relationships in the multifamily sector and has significant involvement in client meetings and presentation related to multifamily investments. She has 20 years of real estate experience and was previously the financial controller for the multi-family portfolio and a financial controller for the Alternative Property Fund and transferred to asset management in 2006. Prior to joining the firm, Allina worked for Ernst & Young LLP, where she was a senior accountant in the Real Estate Group. Aakash Thakkar joined EYA in 2004 as a Development Executive and now is a Executive Vice President for Acquisition and Development with EYA. His responsibilities include overall project stewardship, new deal sourcing and acquisition, site selection, and project development through the design and governmental and community approval process. Mr. Thakkar is a member of and guest speaker for the Urban Land Institute and the District of Columbia Building Industry Association. Mr. Washington has over 20 years of experience in urban real estate development, construction and management. Mr. Washington founded NDC in 1999 and served as President from 1999-2005. From 2005 until early 2007, Mr. Washington took a leave of absence from NDC to serve as the President and CEO of the Anacostia Waterfront Corporation (AWC), the entity charged with leading a $10 billion, 20 year initiative to revitalize Washington, DC’s Anacostia Waterfront and surrounding communities. Mr. Washington grew up in the city’s Anacostia neighborhood and is a lifelong resident of DC.

Adrian has a B.S. in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard University.

Sean Caldwell

Sean Caldwell is one of the founding partners of Mill Creek Residential and serves on the Investment Committee and the Audit and Administrative Committee. He currently serves as an Executive Managing Director with overall responsibility for development in Mill Creek’s Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions, including Washington, D.C., Boston, the greater New York City metropolitan area, and North Carolina. Prior to this role, Mr. Caldwell served as Senior Managing Director where he managed the company’s development activity for the Mid-Atlantic region. During his career, he has been involved in the entitlement, development and construction of over 10,000 multifamily homes.

Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Caldwell was a Managing Director for Trammell Crow Residential where he was responsible for all phases of the development process for both rental and for-sale multifamily communities. Prior to joining Trammell Crow, Mr. Caldwell was a Senior Project Manager with the civil engineering firm of VIKA, Inc. In this role, his responsibilities included the design, coordination, management, and approval of multiple development projects throughout the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area. Projects varied from 500 home multifamily development communities to 200,000 sf commercial redevelopment projects.

Mr. Caldwell received his Bachelor of Science Degree from George Mason University in Civil Engineering and his Master of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He is a member of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA), the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He also has served in various capacities with the Northern Virginia Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

Mr. Edward J. Murn, IV, joined Washington REIT in April 2013 as Managing Director, Residential Division. Prior to joining Washington REIT, he was Director of Development at The Tower Companies from September 2008 to March 2013, where he was responsible for metro D.C. area projects including The Blairs, White Flint Mall, and Tower Oaks. After having worked early in his career as an attorney and real estate developer, Mr. Webb has since acted as broker and/or advisor in the financing of over $30 Billion of commercial real estate transactions, including over 100 major development and repositioning deals, and hundreds of refinance transactions of more than 60,000 apartment and condo units and 15 Million square feet of office space.
