Currently serving as the Vice President & General Manager for Mortenson’s Chicago office, Andy is focused on overall strategy development and direction of all facets of the group, including relationship management, preconstruction, construction and business development activities. He also works closely with Mortenson’s national Mission Critical team of experts across the country. Andy's unique technical background in MEP systems and passion for customer service has led to a robust career at Mortenson. Andy was selected to be part of Mortenson’s first international project, a substrates facility for Seagate Technology in Limavady, Northern Ireland. He has worked on a multitude of impressive projects, including the $211 million Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. In June 2003, he returned to Chicago to become part of Mortenson’s Chicago operating group. Since then, Andy has worked on over $900 million of healthcare projects in northern Illinois and northwest Indiana, while simultaneously leading Mortenson’s development of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM). He actively participates in promoting the progress and education of these dynamic areas of our industry. Andy also served as the Director of Business Development for the Chicago office and was involved in many notable projects including data centers for QTS, Allstate Insurance, United Airlines and other mission critical customers and construction of the new Lurie Children’s hospital. Outside of Mortenson, Andy keeps a busy agenda filled with speaking engagements and civic activities.

With nearly 15 years of construction management experience, Rob Dean, VP of Design and Construction, has been involved with almost every aspect of a successful construction project. He has led capital improvement projects for a renowned public American university, managed projects for national General Contracting companies, and now leads the team that designs and builds CoreSite’s world-class data center facilities.

In each stop, Rob learned that repeatable features and processes are essential, but each project is unique and challenging in its own way. “All projects have similarities,” he says. “However, every project has its own nuances, and each one has the potential to challenge the limits of your team's skill, expertise and patience.”

26+ years of global experience in Data Center & Connectivity industry specializing in Product & Business Management Vinay Nagpal is an industry leader and visionary with global experience developing products and solutions in wholesale and retail colocation data centers with a strong focus on connectivity, subsea and terrestrial fiber. Currently, he is the President of InterGlobix LLC, a global consulting and advisory firm focused on the convergence of data centers, subsea and terrestrial fiber. Vinay is also the Co-Founder and Member of QTS Richmond NAP, which is a global Internet Interconnection hub in Virginia offering the lowest-latency, highest-capacity subsea connectivity. He is the Founding Member & Executive Director of Internet Ecosystem Innovation Committee (IEIC), an independent global committee that promotes Internet diversity and forming of Internet nexus points. Vinay also serves on the Leadership Board of NVTC Data Center & Cloud Committee, and actively leads Northern Virginia’s data center and connectivity initiatives. Vinay has been involved in the subsea developments in Virginia. He also serves on the Submarine Networks EMEA Customer Advisory Board, LINX NoVA Customer Advisory Board, and NVTC’s Executive Circle. As an active participant in industry forums, Vinay is a member of the PTC Membership Committee, Marketing & Communications Committee and SubOptic Diversity & Inclusion Working Group. Vinay’s past endeavors include being part of the Open-IX Association board to build open standards for data centers and IXPs. As the Vice President of Product Management at Digital Realty / DuPont Fabros (DFT), he led product management of DFT’s Data Center, Connectivity and Managed Services. During his tenure, he developed company’s carrier-neutral data center connectivity and peering services, designed and implemented dark fiber networks and supported customers’ network requirements. His senior-level network-centric positions at Tata Communications, Verizon, MCI, Digex and UUNET allowed his to productize data center and connectivity services across US, Canada, London, Singapore, Australia and India. Vinay holds an MBA in Information Systems, a B.S. in Computer Science, an ITIL certification and a Higher Diploma in Software Engineering. He has authored white papers, blogs, and industry publications on datacenter and connectivity services. He has been invited a speaker to several renowned conferences across the world.

Matthew Koerner has more than 20 years of experience in the AEC industry, Matthew has achieved an extensive understanding of the design and construction aspects of mission critical projects. His resume includes the integration of technology systems into critical environments in over 30 countries throughout the world. Mr. Koerner’s ability to strategically manage and actively participate in a project from inception and throughout design, procurement, construction, and commissioning is a testament to his experience as a professional design engineer and a construction manager of mission critical projects. Matthew is a founder and Principal of Critical Project Services and Integra Mission Critical.

Matthew is a licensed professional engineer in multiple states and is a LEED AP. He is a graduate of Kansas State University’s Architectural Engineering program, holds multiple patents on critical environment systems and energy storage systems, and serves in various board and committee positions for the 7×24 Exchange and Open-IX.

Kevin Dalton serves as Chief Data Center Officer for Cumulus Data, a division of Talen Energy Corporation. In this role, he leads the design and construction of data centers and supports technical customer sales efforts. He has over 30 years of experience developing 1,000 MW of data center capacity ($10B CapEx) across over 75 data centers globally.

Mr. Dalton is an expert in leveraging supply chain optimization and modular prefabricated construction techniques to drive rapid growth, improved quality, and speed to market. Throughout his career, he has set the standard for next-generation data center designs and led multiple successful sustainability initiatives.

Prior to joining Cumulus Data, Mr. Dalton served as Senior Vice President of Design & Construction for NTT Global Data Centers, responsible for leading the team that designs and delivers world-class data centers. Before his tenure with NTT Global Data Centers, he spent 12 years at Digital Realty in technical and senior management roles, including seven years as Vice President of Engineering, leading teams of engineers to deliver data center solutions for customers around the world. Mr. Dalton previously spent 10 years at MGE UPS Systems, a world leader in uninterrupted power supply systems, and nine years at McClier Corporation, a design-build firm.

Mr. Dalton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago.

Keith Dines is a recognized expert on data centers. With over 30 years of experience developing data centers for enterprise and colocation providers he has a broad background in all phases of design, construction and IT deployment.

Currently the Senior Leader of Data Center Site Selection and Construction Management for nVidia, he is responsible for the company’s strategy and implementation of its next generation of high-performance data centers for the future of machine learning and artificial intelligence in all of its deployments.

Prior to joining Nvidia, Mr. Dines served in senior management positions for colocation companies including Digital Realty Trust, The Cambay Group, Aligned Energy, and Core Location. While focused on build-to-suit developments at Digital Realty, he developed customized solutions for NetApp, Savvis, ARM Technologies and Equinix.

Earlier in his career as a data center consultant, Dines’ clients included corporate real estate executives, IT directors, and venture capitalists managing software developers, hardware manufacturers, on-line investment firms, on-line travel firms, telecommunications and a university hospital system. His most notable clients include Oracle, Charles Schwab, GI Partners, ViaWest, Adobe, and Stanford University Hospital.

With more than 25 years of experience in mission critical construction and design, Lane Anderson has an extensive background in MEP projects and design and construction leadership. Having delivered over 3.5 million square feet of data center projects, Lane is well versed in designing for efficiency to pursue low PUE facilities and has strong expertise in building design and construction teams.

At QTS, he is responsible for Corporate Development, Construction, Design and Strategy, as well as Strategic Procurement.

Alex is one of the leading data centre construction professionals in Europe, having been Managing Director of Mace Technology. He is a qualified Electrical & Electronic Engineer and has built a significant number of complex data centres for some of the world’s leading companies including Barclays, Santander, the London Stock Exchange and the Sanger Institute.

Alex has been building Data Centres for over 25 years. He is a Chartered Electrical and Electronic Engineer and started his career at the London Stock Exchange, where he was involved in many of the LSE's off site DC's. Moving onto a Project Management company in the City, he delivered two DC/Disaster recovery centres for a Major international Investment bank, followed by a number of large Comms rooms for Telecoms companies. He then moved onto a Regional Contractor in Essex, where he managed a four year framework agreement to Design and Build leading edge Laboratories at the Sanger Institute for some of the World's leading scientists, including the World renowned Cancer Genome laboratory. At Wates, he set up the Technology division and delivered at the time, the largest High Density data centre in Europe, second only to one built by the CIA. He continued to build DC's for major hosting organisations, financial organisations and insurance market makers. Now at Iron Mountain Data Centers, he is drawing on his experience in Site selection, Data Centre delivery, Mergers & Acquisitions and sale and leaseback transactions.

Alex has 28 years in the Construction Industry, 10 of which have been with E.E. Reed Construction-East Coast, LLC. Under the leadership of

Alex, his 12 teams have completed 35 powered shell data centers totally over 6 million square feet, and turned over 1.6 million square

feet of completed data center space to the Northern Virginia market.

A key element of Alex’s success is working with clients in a design-assist capacity to leverage the advantages of concrete tilt construction, all of which is self-performed. By managing the efficient design and construction of these concrete structures, Alex has been able to offer clients delivery times of as little as 16 weeks from start of foundation to start of interior build-out on a typical one story powered shell, and is working towards delivery times as quick as 24 weeks for a two story powered shell.

Alex is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University with a B.S. in Building Construction, is a LEED-AP, and holds a CDCM certificate.

Michael has been leading high-impact data center development and construction projects for ~15 years. As SVP, Design and Construction at Aligned, Michael is responsible for the development of cutting-edge data center campuses, ensuring alignment of performance with best-in-industry design, efficiency, and operational objectives, as well as speed-to-market targets.

Prior to Aligned, Michael served as Regional Director, Construction Management for Equinix, Sr. Project Manager at DPR Construction and Builder, Drees Homes.

Develops strategies for applications of precast/prestressed concrete building systems in the data center space. Leads the effort to engage technical staff in the design-assist effort of very fast-track projects, at the earliest stages of development. Works with end-users and their agents to create unique designs and unusual applications of precast concrete building systems.

Drives Metromont’s practice of acting as a specialty precast subcontractor in the data center -- and not just the manufacturer of various precast parts and pieces. Metromont can self-perform 100% of the precast concrete work, beginning from structured design-assist engagement, through field erection of "all-precast" buildings.

Leads the activities of Metromont’s VA Sales staff in pursuit of projects primarily in Virginia’s Data Center Alley, but across the U.S. Metromont has the capability of extending its reach beyond this area, on certain projects, where organizational strengths, financial capacity, and past experience -- particularly with regard to mission-critical projects -- are required.

With 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Chris Teddy is an influential leader at JE Dunn Construction. Chris has built dozens of Mission Critical facilities during his tenure at JE Dunn including some of the nation’s largest data centers, colocation data centers, enterprise data centers, new and renovations. Because of Chris and his teammates, our mission critical program has grown to be ranked as the 7th largest data center builder in the U.S. by Engineering News Record Magazine as well as, Building Design and Construction Magazine in 2020.

Following earning his BS in Civil Engineering at The Catholic University of America, Chris earned his MBA at Baker University. Chris is a LEEP AP and a DBIA Designated Design Build Professional. Outside of the Construction Industry, Chris enjoys traveling with his family and coaching his 4 children in sports.

Anthony Caracino, Senior Vice President of Global Construction, is responsible globally for overseeing all datacenter design and construction activities, including new campus builds, existing datacenter refresh program and providing custom solutions for customers, coordinating across internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure project success throughout the Digital Reality global portfolio. His team has delivered projects successfully throughout North America, EMEA and APAC.

Anthony joined Digital Realty in 2008 and has more than 33 years’ of experience in the design/construction of Data Centers and Mission Critical facilities.

Anthony is a registered architect in the state of New York and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA.

Donough Roche is STACK Infrastructure's SVP of engineering and client services, providing cross functional leadership across the STACK platform to ensure that the company is consistently oriented to support the success of its clients and internal teams responsible for new products and development / construction. Leveraging broad-based data center operations, integration and technical experience, Donough heads STACK’s solutions engineering, IT systems, security and operational compliance functions, as well as its due diligence and integration activities.

Donough has extensive experience in data center planning, design, construction, and operations in the U.S., Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to STACK, he served as Principal of Datacentrs Inc., a technical and business consulting firm serving the global data center market. He previously spent nine years at Digital Realty where he led the Global Sales Engineering team. Donough also brings deep operating, sales, and engineering expertise from prior roles at Lee Technologies, Citibank, and Verizon / MCI.

As EVP of Construction and Development, Robbie is the leader of T5’s Construction Services division, where he sets the overall vision and business strategy. He holds the general contractors license and/or business license for construction activity across the organization. Robbie holds a degree in Construction Management from Western Carolina University.

Ajay Garg leads a worldwide team of sales and marketing for Intel DCM. Intel DCM provides real time device level management across a wide range of data center devices such as servers, switches, PDUs to improve Data center efficiency and agility to constantly changing workloads, helping data center operations to better contain costs.

Ajay has been in the Software technology industry for the last 15 years and has worked at Intel since 1999. He has diverse experience in the field of Product Sales and Marketing, Innovative Product development and R&D in various divisions within Intel. He has done extensive work in partner ecosystem development programs and successfully completed business contracts with over 100 technology companies during his tenure at Intel. Ajay has expertise in exploring new ideas and converting them into products and develop a suitable business models in multiple regions for new product. He has 6 patents in area of networking and security. Ajay earned his Masters of Science and Technology from OHSU and Masters in Computer Science and a Masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.

Nancy Novak, Compass Datacenters’ Chief Innovation Officer, has over 25 years of construction experience and has overseen the delivery of over $3.5 billion in projects during that time. Prior to joining Compass, Nancy was the National Vice President of Operations for Balfour Beatty Construction which she joined after serving in a variety of executive positions for Hensel Phelps Construction Company. Ms. Novak is a member of the iMason’s advisory council and is actively involved in a number of organizations dedicated to the advancement of woman in business including Above the Glass Ceiling (AGC) who are working with Fortune 500 companies to aid in the advancement of women in STEM, Women in Government Relations (WGE), Women Construction Owners and Executives (WCOE), The World Trade Center Initiative, Fortune Media’s Most Powerful Women and the National Women’s Party. Nancy is a frequent speaker on the topic and has participated in the White House Womens and Diversity in STEM forums. Nancy holds a degree in Construction Engineering and Management from San Diego State University.

Mark Hurley is a Data Center Solution Architect at Schneider Electric, responsible for bringing together the full suite of Schneider Electric products and services to provide right-sized, cost-effective, risk-based, innovative data center solutions for our customers. Mark has spent 30 years in the commercial real estate industry and has been involved in the MEP design, start-up, commissioning and operation of commercial office buildings and enterprise data centers. Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Mark was the SVP/Engineering Services Executive at a large financial institution, responsible for Engineering and Energy Services delivered to a 120 million square foot real estate portfolio.

David C. Meadows II has worked in data center cooling since 1999.  He is currently the Director of Technology with STULZ USA, a manufacturer of precision air conditioning, humidification, and dehumidification products specifically designed for the data center.  Previously David has served as both the Design Engineering Manager and the Applications Engineering Manager at Stulz.  David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  David is also a graduate of the United States Navy Nuclear Power School.

Danny joined the DataBank management team in 2011. As the head of DataBank's technical operations, hen is responsible for all facility infrastructure and data center operations. With over 28 years of Telecom and management experience, His oversight ensures DataBank clients have the highest levels of security and redundancy in the industry. Prior to DataBank, Danny managed multiple facilities totaling more than 100K sqft. of raised floor for Denver-based ViaWest. He was also the Director of Technical Services for colocation provider Dataside, and spent 16 years with Cable & Wireless, managing the company's central US operations. Danny also served in the United States Air Force.

Sam Brown joined the Serverfarm team in 2011 as the Vice President of Engineering & Construction. Managing the engineering and construction teams, Brown is responsible for managing all aspects of data center construction and critical infrastructure projects from initial facility acquisition to design, budgeting, bidding, building, commissioning, and final turnover to the customer. Since joining the company, he has led projects ranging in scale from small power and cooling infrastructure upgrades to complex data center developments.

Prior to joining Serverfarm, Brown worked for five years as a mechanical project engineer for Ascent, LLC. Brown is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

As Principal for the Mission Critical Practice, Mason McPike partners with colocation providers and enterprise clients to develop MEP Engineering and Technology Design solutions for greenfield and brownfield data center assets. Joining the company in 2004, Mason has worked on over 30 brownfield projects ranging from live central plant replacements, to adaptive re-use data center developments.
