J. Knox Singleton is chief executive officer of Inova, the Washington, DC, region’s leading not-for-profit healthcare system that serves more than 2 million people annually.

Since joining the organization in 1983, Knox has led Inova’s evolution from a collection of small, stand-alone hospitals into the award-winning health system, nationally recognized for clinical excellence, innovation and outstanding patient care. Inova’s comprehensive network comprises hospitals, outpatient services and facilities, primary and specialty care practices, and health and wellness initiatives. Under Mr. Singleton’s stewardship, Inova is now a leader in genomics and personalized health, which uses an individual’s genetic make-up to predict and prevent disease.

With his leadership and vision, Mr. Singleton has proactively pursued a paradigm-shifting strategy of health promotion and optimization – anticipating and preventing illness. The Inova Center for Personalized Health is at the heart of this vision – a place that connects researchers, clinicians and consumers to transform medicine from a reactive to predictive model.

In keeping with Inova’s community service mission, Mr. Singleton is an active member of organizations that improve lives both here and abroad. He serves on several boards and is co-founder of the Global Good Fund, which works to coach and mentor future leaders. Additionally, he is co-founder and past president of the Community Coalition for Haiti, which creates community-driven solutions in healthcare, education, and community development in Haiti.

Mr. Singleton is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in 1970. He received his Master’s degree in health administration from Duke University in 1973. He holds honorary degrees from Northern Virginia Community College and Cumberland College in Williamsburg, KY. He is married to Dr. Tracy Fitzsimmons and together they have seven children.

Mr. Marquez is Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer - Commercial Real Estate of EagleBank and Executive Vice President of Eagle Bancorp, Inc. He joined EagleBank in August 2011. Mr. Marquez has over 35 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining the Company, he established the real estate lending franchise for HSBC for the Washington, DC market. Earlier he was the head of Commercial Real Estate lending at Chevy Chase Bank from 1997 to 2005 and previously held various lending positions at The Riggs National Bank in Washington, DC after starting his career at the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York.

Sean Caldwell is one of the founding partners of Mill Creek Residential and serves on the Investment Committee and the Audit and Administrative Committee. He currently serves as an Executive Managing Director with overall responsibility for development in Mill Creek’s Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions, including Washington, D.C., Boston, the greater New York City metropolitan area, and North Carolina. Prior to this role, Mr. Caldwell served as Senior Managing Director where he managed the company’s development activity for the Mid-Atlantic region. During his career, he has been involved in the entitlement, development and construction of over 10,000 multifamily homes.

Prior to joining Mill Creek, Mr. Caldwell was a Managing Director for Trammell Crow Residential where he was responsible for all phases of the development process for both rental and for-sale multifamily communities. Prior to joining Trammell Crow, Mr. Caldwell was a Senior Project Manager with the civil engineering firm of VIKA, Inc. In this role, his responsibilities included the design, coordination, management, and approval of multiple development projects throughout the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area. Projects varied from 500 home multifamily development communities to 200,000 sf commercial redevelopment projects.

Mr. Caldwell received his Bachelor of Science Degree from George Mason University in Civil Engineering and his Master of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He is a member of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA), the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He also has served in various capacities with the Northern Virginia Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.

Michael Caplin is President of Tysons Partnership – an association of business, government and community leaders working together to redevelop Tysons, Virginia from a 1970s business park into an exciting, sustainable 21st century downtown. Caplin is responsible for all aspects of operations, including membership, programs, communications, government and community relations.

His career experience includes service as a public defender, a federal prosecutor, performing arts counselor and producer, a program director at the Smithsonian Institution, and senior executive and advisor for array of nonprofit agencies working in the arts, education and social services. He is a member of the George Mason University Center for Social Entrepreneurship Global Advisory Board; the FONZ Board; and the U.S. Presidential Scholars Commission, appointed by the President in 2010.
