Ms. Baker Chambers is a Principal of capital raising, the Co-Portfolio Manager for the New York City Retirement Systems co-investment separate account, and the Portfolio Manager for the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund separate account. These separate accounts are focused on identifying and investing alongside emerging managers in major markets across the US Ms. Baker Chambers is based in the Firm’s headquarters in metropolitan Washington, DC.

Prior to Artemis, Ms. Baker Chambers worked at Fannie Mae in Corporate Finance, managing the revenue and expense planning process, variance analysis and financial reporting for the Single Family business, and in Housing and Community Development serving as a junior product manager for mortgage products serving people with disabilities.

Ms. Baker Chambers earned a BA in Economics and in History from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia Business School. While attending business school, Ms. Baker Chambers was recognized as a Robert A. Toigo Fellow, a PREA/Toigo Fellow and a Real Estate Executive Council Fellow.

Michael Vu is a Principal and sits on the Investment Committee of Artemis Real Estate Partners. Mr. Vu is responsible for developing and implementing the acquisition and asset management activities of Artemis. Mr. Vu joined as a founding member of Artemis in 2010, has been involved in over $1.9 billion in new investments, and is based in metropolitan Washington, DC.

Previously, Mr. Vu was an associate at The Carlyle Group, where he served in the Transactions Group within U.S. Real Estate. Mr. Vu was focused on property and portfolio acquisitions, dispositions, and financings across all major property types. Prior to The Carlyle Group, Mr. Vu was an analyst at Lazard Frères & Co. where he focused on mergers and acquisitions within the U.S. Real Estate group in New York.

Mr. Vu earned a bachelor's degree in Politics and Finance from Princeton University, graduating magna cum laude. Mr. Vu was awarded the Lyman H. Atwater Prize for the top thesis within the Politics department. Mr. Vu is the Vice Chair on the board of the Maya Angelou Public Charter School in Washington, D.C., which focuses on providing a second chance to high schoolers and young adults to put them back on track towards a high school diploma or equivalent credential and a path for a productive post-secondary career. Mr. Vu is also an active council member with the Urban Land Institute.

As Chief Investment Officer, Mike Altman directs Cortland's investment strategy with a focus on asset management. Mike joined Cortland in 2007 as a development associate and has played an integral role in growing the company, becoming Executive Vice President of Investments in 2010 before assuming his current role in 2013. Over the course of his career with Cortland, he has led many core aspects of the business that have directly influenced Cortland's evolution from a small development company to one of the leading companies in the multifamily industry, including capital raising and portfolio strategy.

His expertise in Cortland’s growth provides a unique perspective on the value of vertical integration, the results of Cortland’s acquisition and renovation strategy, and the influence of a resident-centric approach within the apartment industry.

Mike holds his master's degree in Real Estate from Georgia State University and his bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Georgia. He is a licensed real estate broker and is associated with the Atlanta Multifamily Network and the U.S. Green Building Council.

Brandon Jenkins is the co-founder and COO of Fundrise, the largest direct-to-investor alternative asset manager in the US. Since it’s founding in 2012, Fundrise has grown to over 2 million active users and $3.3 billion in real estate private equity, private credit, and growth-stage venture capital.

In addition to his role as COO, Brandon also serves on the company’s Board of Directors, as well as the Investment Committee, overseeing more than $8 billion of real estate assets - including 37,000 residential units and 5 million square feet of industrial and commercial space located across the country.

Prior to co-founding Fundrise, Brandon served as Head of Real Estate for WestMill Capital Partners, a boutique real estate development firm in Washington, DC. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and Economics from Duke University.

Posnick joins TCC from Mill Creek Residential Trust in Washington, D.C., where he was most recently the Senior Managing Director of Capital Markets, responsible for project capitalizations across the U.S. Prior to that, he was involved in all phases of the firm’s multifamily development, throughout the MidAtlantic region, including site acquisition, design, entitlements, financing, and dispositions. He also worked in Deloitte’s Real Estate Valuation and Consulting Practice.

Stan Beraznik

Stan Beraznik is the Founder and Managing Principal of 29th Street Capital. Since inception, Stan has guided 29th Street Capital in the acquisition of over $2 billion in multifamily property, $500 million in single-family home portfolios, and $50 million in non-performing mortgage loans. Stan continues to oversee multiple business units and works alongside the other managing principals to determine which investments fit the firm’s criteria.

Jason Hernandez

Jason leads the originations platform in the Americas for Nuveen Real Estate and is focused on further expanding the firm’s third-party real estate debt business.

Prior to joining the business in 2018, Jason was a managing director at ACORE Capital where he led a team responsible for the sourcing and execution of structured finance investments, including mortgage, mezzanine and preferred equity. As one of the initial employees of ACORE, he helped grow the firm from a start-up, to one of the largest private lenders in the United States, with $9 billion AUM in just under three years. Jason has also held a number of roles at GE Capital Real Estate. Most recently he was a senior director in the strategic capital group focused on whole loan origination with institutional clients.

Jason graduated with a B.S. from Illinois State University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School. He is a graduate of the GE Capital Financial Management Programme with roles including finance, underwriting and M&A and is a member of Commercial Real Estate Finance Council.

David Borden is a Managing Director at Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group, one of the

nation’s preeminent boutique commercial real estate capital advisory firms. David

specializes in originating and executing cutting-edge capital markets financing solutions

throughout the capital stack, including debt and mezzanine financing, preferred and joint

venture equity. David joined Ackman-Ziff in 2013 in the firm’s New York City

headquarters and has since relocated to the Washington DC metropolitan area, where

he leads the firm’s MidAtlantic efforts in addition to many other markets throughout the

country.

Prior to joining Ackman-Ziff, David led acquisitions at Newcastle Realty Services, a New

John began his real estate career in 2009 and joined Invesco Real Estate in 2021. Prior to

joining Invesco, John was with MetLife Investment Management’s Debt Strategies Group where

he originated commercial real estate mortgages, and PNC Bank’s Real Estate Banking Group

where he helped underwrite and close commercial lending opportunities, while also helping

manage an active loan portfolio.

John earned a BBA in Finance from Duquesne University and both an MBA and master’s

degree in Real Estate from the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University.

Prior to joining PLG, he served as the CEO of Lean & Green Michigan, the PACE program in Michigan, and developed the Michigan PACE program into one of the nation's strongest PACE programs. His experience also includes serving as a management consultant at Deloitte, a transactional attorney at Proskauer, and the Executive Director of Michigan’s Wayne County Land Bank. Bali graduated with a B.A. from Brown University, a M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, and a J.D. from Berkeley Law. He is a member of the NY and CA bar.

Mr. White is the Managing Director for Investments at the firm. He has over 16 years of professional experience in commercial real estate, finance and consulting in Washington, DC and New York.

His primary focus is on new investment opportunities for the Penzance Real Estate Funds as well as oversight of strategic initiatives on Penzance’s existing assets.

Previously, Mr. White led the Acquisitions and Investments Team in the Washington, DC market for MRP Realty. He was directly involved in over $1 billion total capitalization in multiple product types. Mr. White also worked at H/2 Capital Partners in Stamford, CT where he focused on investments and risk management of debt securities collateralized with real estate assets across the United States, Canada, and London.

Mr. White serves on the Board of Directors for the Montgomery College Foundation and is a Trustee of the Jerome S. and Grace H. Murray Foundation.

He graduated from Princeton University with an A.B. in Politics and Certificate of Political Economy.

Ryan Riel

Ryan Riel has worked in Commercial Real Estate with EagleBank for more than 20

years and currently oversees the Bank’s $5 billion CRE lending portfolio. Throughout

his tenure, he has worn multiple hats and participated in originating more than $6

billion in real estate transactions of various types across the DC region. Since

February 2025, in addition to CRE Lending, Mr. Riel oversees more than 200

employees across retail banking, small business lending, loan and deposit

operations, and information technology.

Mr. Riel sits on the Board of Directors of the EagleBank Foundation, and on the Board

for George Mason University’s Center for Real Estate Entrepreneurship. He is a

current Trustee for The Children’s Inn at NIH and previously served on the Board of

Directors at the Inn for ten years. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from

West Virginia University.

Gary Bechtel leads the investment management leadership teams with direct oversight of all portfolios. Gary Bechtel served as President of Money360 and was responsible for developing and executing Money360’s expansion strategy. Gary also served on Money360’s Credit Committee and Board of Directors. Prior to joining the Company, he was Chief Lending/Originations Officer of CU Business Partners, LLC, the nation’s largest credit union service organization (CUSO). Previously, Gary held management or production positions with Grubb & Ellis Company, Meridian Capital, Johnson Capital, FINOVA Realty Capital, Pacific Southwest Realty Services and Hometown Commercial Capital.
