Adrian Stanton joined Virginia Hospital Center in 2006 as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. He is responsible for developing and implementing the Hospital's marketing and communications strategies, and for overseeing the organization's Executive Health, Health Promotion and Senior Health services. In this role, Mr. Stanton guides the Hospital's efforts as a community-focused organization delivering innovative care and improving the overall health of the community it serves.

Prior to joining Virginia Hospital Center, Mr. Stanton had over 25 years of healthcare experience in the Metro Washington region. He has served in a number of roles developing expertise in hospital marketing, communications, planning, strategic development, managed care and real estate.

Mr. Stanton holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from James Madison University. He is a past member of the region's Healthcare Advisory Group and is a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development.

Nick is the Executive Director of the Johns Hopkins Sibley Innovation Hub. Nick is a proponent of design thinking in healthcare as a way to create a health system which is more desirable, compassionate and advanced. In the Innovation Hub, he helps lead a human-centered design team to tackle both simple and complex challenges for patients, staff and providers.

Nick is an Executive Board member for Stanford’s Medicine X program and is the president of the Society for Participatory Medicine. His past roles include hospital leadership of departments including strategy, finance and operations.

He skis in the winter, runs most days and is forever restoring his antique Land Rover.

Nick has participated in a variety of national-level healthcare discussions. Examples include facilitating the White House and USAID’s design challenge to improve protective equipment worn by ebola aid workers and participating in design events led by the Office of the National Coordinator of Health Information technology.

Clayton Mitchell (Mitch) is a visionary leader and corporate real estate executive who has consistently built high performing teams capable of delivering transformational real estate portfolio results. His technical and executive acumen were honed through a 25-year career as a U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps officer, serving in various impactful assignments such as; Navy Legislative Fellow to the Senate Majority Leader; Vice President, Global Public Works with Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC); Director, Navy Task Force Energy coordinating energy strategy development across all major Navy Systems Commands, and; Project Executive for the $1B expansion of the National Naval Military Medical Center at Bethesda.

Mitch has leveraged these foundational experiences in creating exceptional value within the healthcare sector, in various executive real estate assignments with Kaiser Permanente and ultimately, as Senior Vice President, Real Estate and Facilities for Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health. Over a four-year timeframe, Mitch completely transformed Jefferson’s real estate and facilities (public safety) into an industry leading enterprise shared service, driving $250M in value extraction across the entire spectrum of facilities management services delivery.

Mitch is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (BS Industrial Engineering) and University of California at Berkeley (MS Civil Engineer/Construction Management) and has completed executive management and leadership programs at Tuck School of Business (Dartmouth) and the Harvard Business School.

Ashley Hunnicutt has over 20 years of healthcare leadership

experience. Ashley has worked for Alexandria Hospital, Loudoun

Healthcare Inc. and Loudoun Medical Group, Northern Virginia's

largest physician owned multi specialty private practice, where Ashley

was the Director of Administrative services. She oversaw operational

aspects for all practice locations including practice administration, site

selection, design, operational set up, hiring and openings. She also led

all HR and commercial insurance procurement for the organization.

In 2006 she left Loudoun Medical Group and began her own

consulting company for practice management and healthcare

policy. Ashley's consulting clients included many private practice

specialties as well as Virginia Hospital Center and Inova. In 2008, Ashley accepted a full-time job with her largest client,

Inova, as Sr. Director of Real Estate Services. In 2013 she became

AVP and part of Inova's Business Development team while

maintaining her role as the head of real estate for the System.

In her current role, Ashley and her staff oversee the property

operations for Inova's 130+ non-hospital locations as well as site

selection, purchase/lease negotiations, design and build out.

She works closely with Inova executives to drive growth and best

business development practices for the organization.

Amir is a Business Unit Leader for DPR Construction’s Mid-Atlantic region, bringing a vast array

of experience to the team. Amir joined the industry in 2002, after earning his Bachelors in Civil

Engineering from Old Dominion University. He has spent his entire construction career focusing

on projects in the Mid-Atlantic market and as a Northeast Healthcare Core Market Leader, he has

developed strong relationships throughout the region. Amir provides top management and

leadership to the DPR team to ensure project success and has experience with complex project

teaming structures including Design-Build and IPD.

Mr. Fischer is a Principal and Managing Director with Trammell Crow Company and an integral part of the company’s comprehensive healthcare, life sciences and senior living development and investment initiatives. He serves as a national healthcare product specialist for the firm, keeping healthcare development teams across the country stay abreast of national trends and best practices. Additionally, he directly oversees TCC’s MidAtlantic health and life science developments, which currently include the notable 1.0 million square foot McMillan Redevelopment, the Adventist White Oak Medical and Oncology Pavilion, the National Harbor I and II medical office buildings, the John Carlyle Center for Wellness and Healthcare, the Falls Church Center for Wellness, the Balfour at Palisades, and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s 970,000 square-foot Medical and Surgical Pavilion.

Mr. Fischer has held various leadership positions in investment management within the healthcare industry since 1986. Prior to joining Trammell Crow Company in 2005, Mr. Fischer led his consulting practice, Fischer Advisory Partners, through the development of a national healthcare energy platform for US Power and also worked on services syndication for the private funding initiatives of hospitals in the United Kingdom and Germany.

Currently, Mr. Fischer serves as Chairman Emeritus for the Urban Land Institute’s Healthcare & Life Sciences Council, as well as numerous Board and civic groups.

Adrian has built his career by leading significant healthcare design projects in the National Capital Region for more than a quarter century. His passion for delivering healthcare design excellence has been proven by successfully leading the design of numerous projects for many of the most noteworthy healthcare providers in this region including Kaiser Permanente, Mercy Medical Center, University of Maryland Medical System, Adventist HealthCare, Johns Hopkins Medicine , and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Adrian is a strong advocate of integrated project delivery, and prides himself in building and maintaining positive relationships with the entire project delivery team, so every member feels a sense of ownership in the successful outcome of a project – ultimately exceeding the expectations of his clients and healthcare provider stakeholders.

When he’s not leading the design of healthcare development projects, you can often find Adrian on his bicycle. He enjoys bike trips with family and friends over holidays and weekends.
