Kevin McAndrews is Atapco Properties’ President and has primary responsibility for Atapco’s development and investment strategy and execution. He joined Atapco in 2002 as Vice President of Acquisitions and Development and was promoted to President in 2011.

Kevin began his career with Trammel Crow Company in Texas in 1983 and has held senior management positions with Philadelphia’s Toll Brothers, New York’s The Harlan Company and ran his own commercial real estate company for five years. His experience throughout his career has covered a broad spectrum of commercial real estate investment and development activity.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Brown University and Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Chicago.

Prior to joining Greenberg Gibbons, he was a Partner and member of the management committee of Fedder and Garten, P.A., a Baltimore, Maryland law firm. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and serves on the boards of Sinai Hospital, Hospice of the Chesapeake, and the University of Maryland at Baltimore.

In 2013, Mr. Gibbons received the Distinguished Citizens Award from the Boy Scouts of America’s Baltimore Chapter for exemplifying strong community leadership and personal integrity. Most recently, he was named to the State of Maryland’s Private Sector Economic Development Commission, a group formed to recommend strategies to help map the future growth of Maryland’s economy.

Loh assumed the position in 2010. Previously, he was Executive Vice President and Provost, The University of Iowa; Dean, College of Arts & Sciences, Seattle University; Director, Executive Policy Office and chief policy adviser to Governor Gary Locke, State of Washington; Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculties, University of Colorado-Boulder; Dean, University of Washington Law School.

At Maryland, he is Professor of Public Policy. Previously, he was Professor of Law at Washington, Colorado-Boulder, and Iowa; Visiting Professor of Law at Cornell, Peking University (China), Emory, University of Texas at Austin, University of Houston, and Vanderbilt. His scholarship and teaching are in the areas of law and social change and in criminal justice reform.

Aakash Thakkar joined EYA in 2004 as a Development Executive and now is a Executive Vice President for Acquisition and Development with EYA. His responsibilities include overall project stewardship, new deal sourcing and acquisition, site selection, and project development through the design and governmental and community approval process. Mr. Thakkar is a member of and guest speaker for the Urban Land Institute and the District of Columbia Building Industry Association. He is a member of the Smart Growth Recognition Award Jury, the Riverdale Park Mixed-Use Town Center Committee, and of the Hyattsville CDC Board. He was a member of the Obama for American Mid-Atlantic Finance Committee and a co-founder (along with his wife) of the Thakkar/Giallourakis Scholarship Fund for St. John's College High School. Mr. Thakkar has a BS in Accounting and Political Science from LaSalle University and holds both an MBA and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University. Mr. Thakkar is a native Washingtonian.

Taylor O. Chess is Senior Manager Director, Development for Peterson Companies and serves on the Company’s Investment Committee. Taylor has developed retail projects valued over $250 million. He is a visionary, known for spotting acquisition opportunities, imagining the possibilities, divesting of property, acquiring land, and building joint ventures.

Taylor has been instrumental in leading the company’s expansion into new ventures and development and looks at all disciplines of real estate to find the best use based on market conditions and social and economic changes.

Prior to Peterson Companies Taylor was Senior Vice President, Investments at Regency Centers where he established the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast offices. During his eight years, he developed 11 centers valued at approximately $660 million and assisted in the acquisition of 140 centers.

Taylor studied at California State University, Northridge. He serves on numerous philanthropic boards and committees including Joe Gibb’s Youth For Tomorrow, Fairfax County Sports Tourism Tax Force and mentors real estate students through ULI’s mentoring programs. He was recently appointed by Gov. Glenn Youngkin as a member of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority board of directors to help establish policy and provide direction to management for the operation of Dulles International and Reagan National Airports and the Dulles Toll Road. He served as ICSC’s State Director of Maryland, Washington D.C. and Virginia and has been a guest speaker for the GWU Real Estate Program.

FUN FACT: While studying in California Taylor tried his hand at Hollywood and landed roles in popular television shows and movies like Dynasty, Matlock, Solid Gold and Space Balls to name a few.

Lorenzo Creighton

An experienced veteran of the gaming industry and the regulatory process, Lorenzo Creighton is MGM Resorts International’s top executive in Maryland, leading the Company’s efforts in the dynamic eastern U.S. market. As President and COO of MGM National Harbor, Mr. Creighton brings the perspective of both an industry regulator and a seasoned industry executive.

The first African-American President of a major Las Vegas casino resort, Mr. Creighton brings more than 20 years experience as a Gaming Regulator, Government Affairs professional, and Resort Casino Executive. His vast experience allows him to provide unique perspective and skill-set to his new role.

Previously in his career, Mr. Creighton served as an attorney for the State of Iowa and an Iowa Magistrate State Judge. He was named Deputy Director for the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission, where he crafted the state’s initial gaming regulation and oversaw the opening of the nation’s first modern Riverboat Casinos. He later served as Executive Director for the Mississippi Gaming Commission, where he similarly oversaw the development of state gaming regulation and the opening of that state’s modern casino industry.

Mr. Creighton also has extensive experience on the operations side of the gaming hospitality industry, serving in senior executive positions at top destination resorts. Previously with MGM Resorts he served as President and COO of New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas before moving to Michigan to assume the President’s post at MGM Grand Detroit.

Among his other industry experience, Mr. Creighton was President of the Flamingo, where he was responsible for the renovation of most of the property, and served as General Manager for the Lady Luck in Natchez, Mississippi; General Manager for the President Casinos in St. Louis, Missouri; and Senior Vice President of Operations for Bally's Casino in New Orleans, Louisiana. Most recently, he was Chief Executive Officer of Gateway Casinos, a Vancouver company that manages twelve casinos in Canada.

Personally, Lorenzo has dedicated much time to his community.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Usher’s New Look Foundation and serves as its Secretary.  An active member of the community, Creighton has received awards from Luther College (2005) and Black Meetings & Tourism (2006) for Distinguished Service. He is also the recipient of a Trumpet Award in January 2006 for his contributions in business.

Creighton has a B.A. degree in political science from Luther College and his J.D. degree from Drake Law School.

Brook Katzen is Vice President of Development for UIP, in which role he oversees all development and construction activities for the company, including value-add renovations and ground-up development. Brook is responsible for concept development, design management, entitlement management, permitting, and construction management.

Prior to joining UIP, Brook was Vice President of Development for SB-Urban, a start-up multifamily development and management company launching a new lifestyle housing product targeting car-free, single-person households in ultra-prime urban locations. Prior to joining SB Urban, Brook spent three years at The JBG Companies, where he managed the development of multiple urban, mixed-use, transit-oriented developments throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Brook is a graduate of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration (BS ’02) and the Cornell Program in Real Estate (MPS ’04). He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the Cornell Real Estate Council.

Steve Schwat

As a District of Columbia resident for the better part of a quarter century, Mr. Schwat offers the unique ability to forecast the direction and trend of revitalization potential in many of the District’s classic neighborhoods. Steve delivers a keen sense of style and functional trends combined with an acute attention to detail throughout the development and management phases of all projects. Steve has participated in a number of entrepreneurial ventures including investing in real estate since 1996. Steve’s extensive experience began with designing and co-managing the renovation of an 1897 Chevy Chase home and co-general contracting several medium-sized construction projects in the District and Prince George’s County. Since joining UIP, he has managed the construction and renovation of over 1,500 apartment units. He is well versed in working with architects and construction companies; locating and investigating opportunities; creating and analyzing initial purchase, construction, and sales estimates; overseeing planning, construction, and draws; and more. He works with real estate sales and marketing professionals in designing marketing materials including signage, renderings, sales presentation materials, and web sites. Steve has served as mayor and treasurer of the Village of Drummond in Chevy Chase, MD, as treasurer of the Citizens Coordinating Committee of Friendship Heights. Steve currently serves on the Board of the Anne Frank House www.theannefrankhouse.org a non profit charity that houses homeless individuals with mental illness.

As Vice President of Development for the Menkiti Group, Mark leads the acquisition and development of multi-family, neighborhood commercial, and office projects. In his tenure with the Menkiti Group, Mark has delivered market-rate multifamily, affordable LIHTC-financed multifamily, neighborhood commercial, and office projects. He is currently working on the adaptive re-use of a historic city block in Mount Rainier, Maryland, a charter school project in southeast Washington, DC., and a government office facility in Washington, DC.

As a licensed architect in DC and Virginia, Mark has previously served as lead architect and project manager for a wide variety of projects for several highly recognized institutions including the Army Corps of Engineers, US Air Force, US Navy, US Department of State, Architect of the Capitol, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution, Gallaudet University, and the District of Columbia Superior Courts.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree with honors from the University of Notre Dame. He is a licensed architect and LEED accredited professional and a former Captain in the United States Air Force. Mark is also a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He enjoys spending time with family, composing on the piano, and playing ice hockey.

Brad Frome

Brad Frome joined the Baker Administration as a Deputy Chief of Staff in 2010 and was promoted to Assistant Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Public Infrastructure in early 2014. In his current role, Frome oversees several County agencies with responsibilities for economic development including the Department of Permitting, Inspections, and Enforcement (DPIE), the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DPWT) and the Department of Environment (DOE).

Frome has lead several of County Executive Baker’s key economic development projects including the MGM National Harbor project, the recently opened Riverdale Park Station project that attracted Prince George’s County’s first Whole Foods, the Gateway Arts District as well as multiple project collaborations with the University of Maryland and the City of College Park for development along Route One. Frome also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Prince George’s County Workforce Development Board, as a Member of the Board of Directors of DC Water and as the Prince George’s County representative on the Critical Area Commission for the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays.

Frome started in government working for a member of the House of Delegates as a Legislative Director in 2002 before serving as a Chief of Staff to a member of the Prince George's County Council from 2006-2010.

Frome graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland with a BS in Government and Politics and attended George Washington University Law School. He lives in University Park, MD with his wife, Kara, and two sons.

Evan J. Weisman is President of Donohoe Development Company where he directs the day-to-day operations of the division and works with all internal disciplines to meet and exceed project objectives.

Evan joined Donohoe in 2018 following many years of success working in real estate development. Evan has led the development of millions of square feet of both public and private commercial development projects during his career. His experience includes the development, redevelopment, renovation, and interior improvement of many property types, including office, retail, hotel, and mixed-use.

Prior to joining Donohoe, Evan served as Senior Development Manager for Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT) where he oversaw new development and repositioning projects. Heather Dlhopolsky is a Partner in the Firm’s Land Use/Zoning Practice as well as the Practice Group's Chair. Heather also serves on the Firm’s Management Committee, and chairs the Firm’s Marketing Committee.

Nina M. Albert serves as the Commissioner of the Public Buildings Service (PBS) at the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).

As PBS Commissioner, she manages the nationwide asset management, design, construction, leasing, building management and disposal of approximately 371 million square feet of government-owned and leased space across the United States and six territories.

Albert brings 20 years of experience in public real estate disposition, public-private partnership negotiations, economic revitalization, and sustainable development to GSA. Albert most recently served as Vice President of Real Estate and Parking at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), where she managed a multi-billion dollar real estate portfolio.

While working at the District Department of Environment, Albert led the design and development of a first-of-its-kind $250 million energy efficiency financing program targeting commercial and multi-family property owners. As the Anacostia Waterfront Initiative Manager, she oversaw a $1.3 billion redevelopment project in Washington D.C., including a 2,800-acre waterfront revitalization program.

A military veteran, Albert served as a first lieutenant and Company Executive Officer of the U.S. Army Signal Corps.

Albert holds a Master of Business Administration and Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University.

Howard has over 20 years of planning, affordable housing and real estate development experience, working in such cities as Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, DC. Since 2012, he has served as the Executive Director of the Redevelopment Authority of Prince George’s County where he manages the County’s homebuyer’s assistance, neighborhood stabilization and housing rehabilitation programs, Community Impact Grants program for County-based non-profit organizations and a portfolio of major mixed use infill development projects valued at over $976 million.

He holds a Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning from Morgan State University and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Temple University. Howard attended the John F. Kennedy School for Government's Senior, State and Local Government Officials Program in 2006. He serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Architecture at Catholic University of America and Georgetown’s Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate. Additionally, Howard is the Washington DC representative for the German Marshall Fund’s Transatlantic Cities Network, a collaboration of 20 American and European public policy practitioners.

His professional interests are walkability, sustainable development and the Millennial generation.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and the American Planning Association.

Most recently, Angela joined fellow TripleStone executive to celebrate the groundbreaking of Cadillac Crossing, a $50 million, 15-acre development in Prince George's County, Maryland. Angela began her career in Finance at General Electric, advancing through its two leadership programs, earning a six sigma black belt and gaining extensive experience in lean and TQM. She continued her career in Risk Management at Forest City Enterprises, bringing her finance and operational expertise to the real estate industry. Angela then spent four years in Dubai, helping establish and leading Deloitte's Enterprise Risk Management Center of Excellence in the Middle East and North Africa. While at Deloitte, Angela merged management consulting with industry and functional know-how, winning her a high-profile engagement with Kingdom Holding Company, a publicly-held investment conglomerate chaired by Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, where she managed the process re-engineering and risk assessment of a 24-hotel portfolio including Four Seasons, Movenpick, Fairmont, and Raffles.

Mr. Beall is the Manager of Renard Development Company, LLC, the developer of Greenbelt Station, a planned 4 million square foot Mixed Use Transit-Oriented Development located in Greenbelt, Maryland. Mr. Beall is also a principal with the firm of McNamee, Hosea, Jernigan, Kim, Greenan & Lynch, P.A., a local, mid-sized law firm with offices in Greenbelt and Annapolis, Maryland, a Manager and Co-Founder of Urban Bar-B-Que Systems and Vice Chairman of Ledo Pizza System, Inc., a 100 plus unit franchise system which Mr. Beall's family founded and is headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland. Mr. Beall is a graduate of Boston College (B.A., 1994) and the University of Maryland School of Law (J.D. 1994), and a lifelong resident of the State of Maryland.

Elected at 26, Justin represented Prince George’s County in the Maryland House

of Delegates for over 10 years where the Washington Post hailed him as “among

the Maryland legislature’s brightest young stars.” Serving on the House Ways &

Means Committee, Justin developed an expertise in state and local taxation

matters, economic development and state transportation funding. As a chief

deputy majority whip, the Post noted that the leadership title “understates the

importance of the role he has played in recent years helping round up votes for

key pieces of legislation.”  Justin also spent more than a decade working in

commercial property development and leasing and also has experience in

investor and labor relations as well as marketing commercial real estate. A

lifetime resident of Prince George’s County, Justin remains active in a number of

charitable Prince George’s County organizations.

David Harrington is President and CEO of the Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce. During his tenure,

the Chamber has had a 50 percent increase in revenue and membership and played a central role

influencing state and local policy. Also, David is Senior Policy Advisor for CommonHealth ACTION – a

leading nonprofit for improving community health.

Prior to joining the Chamber, David completed fifteen years of public life commencing as Mayor of

Bladensburg, Prince George’s County Councilmember and Maryland State Senator. During this

extensive period of public service, David was President of the Maryland Municipal League, National

Chair of Economic Development with the National Association of Counties and Chaired the Maryland

State Task Force on Physical Education. He has been awarded the Phyllis Newman Award for nonprofit

advocacy, Human Services Coalition Legislative Award, Hurston/Wright Ella Baker award, and Legislator

of the Year from the Maryland League of Conservation Voters.

David is a graduate from Howard University and completed graduate work at Miami University of Ohio.

He also served on Harvard University’s Summer Institute on Reading, Writing and Civic Education, and

was Associate Director and Faculty at the University Of Maryland James MacGregor Burns Academy Of

Leadership.

He is a over 30 year resident of Prince George’s County, Maryland and is married to Cheryl owner of

Shortcake Bakery in Hyattsville, Maryland. They have two sons, Stephen a graduate from Morehouse

College and Brown University and Christopher a graduate from University of Maryland Smith Business

School.

As a market president for United Bank, Steve is responsible for the management and operation of all bank offices in the Suburban Maryland area, including client relationships and new business development. Prior to this role, Steve was a commercial lender with United for 13 years, working with international, national and local real estate developers who focus on multifamily development, retail, office, residential homebuilding and industrial properties. He also serves on the board for the Catholic Charities Golf Classic and is involved in the corporate work study program with Don Bosco Cristo Rey high school, which allows students to apply classroom learning to the workplace.
