Ken Ulman serves as Chief Strategy Officer for Economic Development and President of the

Terrapin Development Company. In his roles at the University of Maryland and Terrapin

Development Company, Ken strives to realize the concept of “Greater College Park.” Ken brings

together the private, public and institutional sectors to turn College Park into the next great

college town by creating a vibrant downtown community, dynamic academic spaces and create

a public-private research hub for tech talent. In his time working for the University of Maryland,

Ken has been integral locating major companies such as Cybrary, Adobe, Capital One, IonQ,

WeWork, and Trader Joes in College Park.

Ulman also teaches BSOS and Government and Politics 388, Innovation in the Public Sector,

where he is honored to have taught brilliant UMD students for the past 8 years.

Ulman previously served two terms as Howard County Executive, where he earned a reputation

for a leadership style that blends innovation and common sense, with a goal of providing

the most efficient and effective government services possible. During his time in public office,

Ulman took Maryland’s sixth largest jurisdiction to new heights in education, healthcare,

environmental protection and economic development.

Ken has won numerous awards, and was named a Tech Titan by Washingtonian Magazine, a

Top 25 Doer, Dreamer and Driver by Government Technology Magazine and a Regional

Visionary by the Greater Baltimore Committee.

Ken is a past president of the Maryland Association of Counties and served as chairman of the

Baltimore Metropolitan Council, as well as serving on several boards including Shock Trauma,

the Merriweather Arts and Culture Center, and the College Park City University Partnership. Ken

lives in Columbia, Maryland, with his wife, Jaki, a fellow Terp herself, and has two daughters,

Maddie and Lily. Maddie is a senior at the University of Maryland College Park.

Ross Draber is the chief operating officer of United Bank, a subsidiary of United Bankshares, Inc., a $19.3 billion bank holding company. He is responsible for the performance and profitability of the Bank, directing commercial and consumer banking sales and service operations throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area. Draber oversees the region’s market presidents and works alongside them to drive growth and develop business strategy and execution plans.

Draber has played an integral role in United Bank’s expansion since assuming the role in 2015. During that time, United Bank has grown to over 70 branches in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. It has the number one deposit market share among community banks in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Statistical Area. Draber is highly involved with the merger and acquisition team and was instrumental in the Bank’s successful acquisitions of Cardinal Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries George Mason Mortgage, LLC and Cardinal Wealth Services, Inc. (2017); Bank of Georgetown (2016); and Virginia Commerce Bank (2014).

Draber previously served as a senior vice president of treasury and corporate finance. In this role, he managed the capital adequacy and regulatory risk of United Bankshares, Inc., serving on the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) and stress test development team. He oversaw the mergers and acquisitions analysis and supervised commercial loan pricing and term sheet structuring within United Bank. Prior to that, Draber held several positions in treasury and credit administration.

Draber is a CFA® charterholder and a 2017 Washington Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree. He graduated from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration.

An experienced veteran of the gaming industry and the regulatory process, Lorenzo Creighton is MGM Resorts International’s top executive in Maryland, leading the Company’s efforts in the dynamic eastern U.S. market. As President and COO of MGM National Harbor, Mr. Creighton brings the perspective of both an industry regulator and a seasoned industry executive.

The first African-American President of a major Las Vegas casino resort, Mr. Creighton brings more than 20 years experience as a Gaming Regulator, Government Affairs professional, and Resort Casino Executive. His vast experience allows him to provide unique perspective and skill-set to his new role.

Previously in his career, Mr. Creighton served as an attorney for the State of Iowa and an Iowa Magistrate State Judge. He was named Deputy Director for the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission, where he crafted the state’s initial gaming regulation and oversaw the opening of the nation’s first modern Riverboat Casinos. He later served as Executive Director for the Mississippi Gaming Commission, where he similarly oversaw the development of state gaming regulation and the opening of that state’s modern casino industry.

Mr. Creighton also has extensive experience on the operations side of the gaming hospitality industry, serving in senior executive positions at top destination resorts. Previously with MGM Resorts he served as President and COO of New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas before moving to Michigan to assume the President’s post at MGM Grand Detroit.

Among his other industry experience, Mr. Creighton was President of the Flamingo, where he was responsible for the renovation of most of the property, and served as General Manager for the Lady Luck in Natchez, Mississippi; General Manager for the President Casinos in St. Louis, Missouri; and Senior Vice President of Operations for Bally's Casino in New Orleans, Louisiana. Most recently, he was Chief Executive Officer of Gateway Casinos, a Vancouver company that manages twelve casinos in Canada.

Personally, Lorenzo has dedicated much time to his community.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Usher’s New Look Foundation and serves as its Secretary.  An active member of the community, Creighton has received awards from Luther College (2005) and Black Meetings & Tourism (2006) for Distinguished Service. He is also the recipient of a Trumpet Award in January 2006 for his contributions in business.

Creighton has a B.A. degree in political science from Luther College and his J.D. degree from Drake Law School.

Ed Fleming is President, East Region, for Walton Development and Management (USA), Inc. Ed is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations for Walton’s eastern U.S. development projects. Prior to joining Walton, Mr. Fleming served in the United States Army for over 25 years. His military career culminated with an assignment as the Executive Director of Civil Works and Emergency Operations for the US Army Corps of Engineers where he oversaw a 194-person directorate and managed the Nation’s $5.4 billion civic works program comprised of infrastructure with a capital stock value of $192 billion.

Terry L. Richardson is our President and Chief Operating Officer. A founding partner, he is deeply involved in all aspects of the venture, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, construction, finance and property management. He also manages the day-to-day operations for the firm, including company-wide strategies and systems.

Terry has 30 years of experience in design and construction of retail development projects. Prior to joining Walt Petrie to form PRV, Terry served as Owner and General Manager of Lane Engineering, a mid-Atlantic based development services / civil engineering firm and as a Construction Project Manager of the international consulting firm Dames and Moore.

Ted Hermes provides financing solutions to commercial developers and owners throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Mr. Hermes began his career in real estate as a commercial appraiser and moved into commercial real estate finance in 1997 after completing his master’s degree. Prior to Joining Berkadia as a Managing Director, Mr. Hermes served as a Senior Vice President at Walker & Dunlop in the Capital Markets group. With over 18 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, Mr. Hermes has secured financing for over 200 different transactions totaling nearly $3 billion.

Mr. Hermes is an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and a member of the ULI Washington Real Estate Trends Committee. In 2010, he served as chairman of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Metropolitan Washington and prior to that served as president of the MBA of MW. In addition, he remains active with several local charities.

Mr. Hermes received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland in 1990 and his master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Virginia in 1997.

Dannielle Glaros

Dannielle M. Glaros (D-District 3) was elected to a four-year term on the Prince George’s County Council in the 2014 General Election. Glaros represents the municipalities of Landover Hills, Riverdale Park, University Park, New Carrollton, Berwyn Heights and portions of College Park. She also represents the communities East Pines, Glenn Dale, Glenridge, Lanham, Riverdale Heightsand Hills, Seabrook, Templeton Knolls, West Lanham Hills, and Woodlawn. Glaros was elected to serve as Vice Chair of the County Council on December 1, 2015 for the 2016 Legislative Year. She is the County Council representative to the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation Board of

Directors and a member of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Government’s Region Forward Coalition.

Vice Chair Glaros is a member of the Prince George’s County Council’s Health, Education and Human Services Committee (HEHS), is the vice chair of the Planning, Zoning and Economic Development Committee (PZED) and presides as chair of Rules, General Assembly and Committee of the Whole.

In 2015 Vice Chair Glaros was honored by the Center for Nonprofit Advancement with the Phyllis Campbell Newsome Public Policy Leadership Award. This award recognizes the work of elected or non-elected public officials who have gone above and beyond in partnership with the nonprofit sector to ensure more vibrantPrior to her election, Glaros served as chief of staff for Prince George’s County Council Member Eric Olson, District 3, for eight years. In that capacity, she worked on countless projects and policy initiatives, brought quality development projects to fruition, and coordinated constituent services. Glaros also served as associate director for Smart Growth America and deputy chief of staff, under Governor Parris Glendening, for the Governor’s Office of Smart Growth, two organizations focused on building stronger, more sustainable

communities. Earlier in her career Glaros was a grassroots organizer for the Public Interest Research Group (PIRG) in Massachusetts and Iowa.

Vice Chair Glaros holds a master’s degree from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy with a focus on environmental policy. She earned her undergraduate degree in economics and geography from Bucknell She and her husband Steve Glaros have two children, Lillian and Evan, who both attend Prince George’s County Public Schools. They live in Riverdale Park, where they are in the process of restoring their historic home. Glaros is a Girl Scout troop leader and member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in College Park.

Mark Glagola is the Senior Managing Director of Transwestern’s Mid-Atlantic

Capital Markets Group. He specializes in investment sales, joint venture

development and equity financing for Office and Industrial Product throughout the

Mid Atlantic.

Mark also co-leads Transwestern’s National Industrial Group coordinating the

company’s capital market efforts for institutions nationwide.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Mark is a 30-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry. He began his

career in leasing and now specializes in institutional acquisition/sales and

development. In the last 16 years, he has been involved in the acquisition of over 20

million square feet of product for clients and executed over $8 billion in sales. In the

past two years alone, Mark sold more than 3 million square feet valued at over $400

million.

Some of his clients have included Cabot Properties, Industrial Property Trust, State

Farm, Liberty Property Trust, ORIX, Invesco, AEW, American Realty Advisors,

NYSTRS, First Industrial, Morgan Stanley, Principal Life Insurance, RREEF, UBS

and Atapco.

Leonard L. Lucchi is a registered lobbyist who represents business owners, trade groups, and local governments before the Maryland General Assembly and the United States Congress. Mr. Lucchi’s scope of representation includes lobbying, tracking pending or proposed legislative activities and analyzing the effects of those pieces of legislation on client matters, drafting legislation, organizing and mobilizing coalitions in support or opposition to pending or proposed legislation, effectively utilizing media outlets to support client initiatives, and testifying on behalf of clients before various legislative committees.

During his thirty years as a legislative advocate, Mr. Lucchi has helped to shape legislation on behalf of his business and corporate clients that creates or enhances the marketplace for their goods and services. For example, Mr. Lucchi persuaded the Maryland General Assembly to pass a law requiring the installation of carbon-monoxide detectors in new residential construction. The passage of this bill created a new market for his client, a major manufacturer of carbon monoxide detectors. In addition to his representation of business owners, Mr. Lucchi has represented trade groups such as solar power manufacturers, mobile home park owners, and food delivery franchisees and has helped to guide them through the legislative process.

Mr. Lucchi has also proven himself to be an accomplished advocate for County and City governments. As a former Director of Legislative Affairs for the Prince George’s County Government, Mr. Lucchi is experienced in planning, managing, and implementing a legislative agenda with elected and appointed officials. In that position, Mr. Lucchi represented various County departments and agencies in order to advance their legislative goals. Mr. Lucchi is also the former County Attorney for Prince George’s County, and he utilizes his hands-on local government experience to advise and implement resourceful legislative plans for his clients. Additionally, he served as the County’s Chief Labor Negotiator.

Mr. Lucchi serves as counsel to the Redevelopment Authority for Prince George's County, the Board of Education for Prince George's County, the Democratic Central Committee for Prince George's County.

Mr. Lucchi served as the President of the Maryland Government Relations Association and President of the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce. He served two terms on the Board of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Lucchi is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Lucchi enjoys giving back to his community by serving on the Board of Mentoring to Manhood and the L.E.A.R.N. Foundation.
