Why to Attend Bisnow's Tampa Bay Construction & Development Summit

While downtown Tampa'a skyline changes rapidly, the region's biggest opportunities are expanding well beyond the urban core. Pasco County is one of Florida's fastest-growing development markets, Pinellas is reinventing aging commercial corridors through redevelopment and resilience initiatives, and Hillsborough remains the economic engine driving office, industrial, healthcare, multifamily and mixed-use investment.

At the same time, developers are navigating a dramatically different environment than they were just a few years ago. Construction costs remain elevated, financing has become increasingly selective, entitlement timelines continue to evolve, infrastructure must keep pace with population growth, and owners are looking for new ways to make projects pencil.

Join the developers, owners, investors, contractors, engineers, architects, lenders and public officials shaping Tampa Bay's next chapter as they discuss where the market is expanding, which projects are moving forward, and what it will take to deliver the region's next generation of commercial real estate.

Attendee Takeaways:

  • Where Tampa Bay's next wave of development is happening from Downtown Tampa to Wesley Chapel, Connected City, Clearwater, St. Petersburg and beyond.

  • Which asset classes continue to attract capital including multifamily, industrial, healthcare, mixed-use, hospitality and retail.

  • How developers are overcoming higher construction costs, labor shortages and financing challenges.

  • The infrastructure, transportation and utility investments that will determine where growth happens next.

  • How owners are approaching redevelopment, adaptive reuse and resilience across aging commercial assets.

  • What investors, contractors and developers expect over the next 12-24 months as projects move from planning into construction.

Building Tampa Bay: Financing, Development & Construction Strategies

Construction may be accelerating across Tampa Bay, but delivering projects has become considerably more complicated. Contractors, developers and owners continue balancing labor availability, material pricing, permitting timelines, insurance costs and increasingly selective lending while trying to keep projects financially viable. Industry leaders will discuss how they are adapting project delivery strategies, incorporating new technologies, managing risk and collaborating earlier in the design process to keep projects moving.

Major Projects and Submarkets Across Tampa

Tampa Bay's development story is no longer concentrated in one city. Major mixed-use projects continue transforming downtown Tampa while Pasco County emerges as one of Florida's fastest-growing development markets and Pinellas focuses on redevelopment, placemaking and resilient urban infill. This panel will explore where developers are buying land, which product types remain attractive, how demand differs across Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco, and what opportunities exist across multifamily, industrial, office, healthcare, retail, hospitality and mixed-use development.
