Jeff Vinik

Chairman, Tampa Bay Lightning

Partner, Strategic Property Partners

Jeff is the current owner of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay Storm. Vinik managed the Fidelity Magellan Fund from 1992 to 1996, where he averaged 17% annual returns. After leaving Fidelity, he started hedge fund Vinik Asset Management, with partners including Michael Gordon (now President of Fenway Sports Group). He made investors 93.8% in his first 11 months and approximately 50% a year for the next three years. At the end of 2000, Vinik returned investors $4.2 billion and focused on managing his own portfolio. Vinik and his partners closed down the fund in December 2013, and distributed $9Bn in assets. In 2010 he purchased a distressed Tampa Bay Lightning franchise with the stated intention of completely transforming the team on the ice and in the community. In executing his plan to bring a world class franchise to life in Tampa Bay, Vinik has invested more than $70 million in private funding into the publicly-owned Amalie Arena to create a guest-first facility recognized as one of the finest in the NHL. Additionally, under the umbrellas of the Vinik Family Foundation and the Lightning Foundation, Jeff and his wife Penny have invested more than $20 million in Tampa Bay area charities through a variety of programs and donations, the most notable being the Lightning Community Heroes program. The Lightning's success under Vinik has coincided with the emergence of a development company, Strategic Property Partners (SPP), LLC and its plan to develop nearly 60 acres in downtown Tampa's south core. SPP, a partnership between Vinik and Cascade Investment, LLC of Kirkland, Washington, is expecting to deliver approximately $3 billion in investment to reinvent the blocks surrounding Amalie Arena into a walkable 24-7 live, work play and stay wellness district. Construction of phase one is scheduled to begin in 2017 and it will include a School of Medicine for the University of South Florida, corporate office buildings, a hotel, residences, retail, restaurants, entertainment and improved infrastructure.

Dan Doctoroff

Chairman and CEO

Dan Doctoroff is Chairman and CEO of Sidewalk Labs.

Dan was President and Chief Executive Officer of Bloomberg L.P., the leading provider of news and information to the global financial community, until December 2014. During his tenure at Bloomberg, Dan led the company through the most severe financial crisis since the Great Depression by pursuing an aggressive strategy of investment, focused on enhancing the company’s core Terminal product, expanding into enterprise products and services, creating new businesses in government, law and energy, and building the company’s news operations, including its acquisition of Businessweek. During the seven years that he led the company, despite the financial crisis, Bloomberg’s organic revenues nearly doubled.

Prior to joining Bloomberg L.P., Dan served as Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Rebuilding for the City of New York. With Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, Dan led the city’s dramatic economic resurgence, spearheading the effort to reverse New York’s fiscal crisis after 9/11 through a five-borough economic development strategy. Since its inception, the strategy for the company has been to have a vertically-integrated business encompassing the entire life cycle of an asset.

Mr. Wright firmly believes that Franklin Street’s success has always come through the success of our clients. For more than a decade, the firm’s family of real estate companies—investment sales, tenant and landlord representation, capital advisory, insurance, management and appraisal—has continuously surpassed the goals and expectations set within the firm, as well as those set by our diverse portfolio of clients. Franklin Street has also grown significantly, having completed transactions involving all asset types for local, regional and national clients across the nation. Franklin Street’s remarkable growth has led to several accolades including being named as one of Real Estate Forum’s Fastest Growing Companies, being listed as a Top Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Firm and Best Places to Work by the Tampa Bay Business Journalseveral years in a row, and being ranked among the fastest-growing companies in Tampa Bay multiple times. However, the core values – Collaboration, Integrity, Hard Work and Accountability – remain unchanged and will continue to lead and guide the company throughout its growth.

An acknowledged leader and forward thinker, Mr. Wright has shared his business leadership, market outlook and economic forecast during a variety of industry conferences throughout the Southeast including the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), RealShare Conference series and others.

Smart Picture Technologies is disrupting the home and commercial field sales process by taking the traditional truck and tape measure estimation process and replacing it with a Computer Vision powered SaaS measurement platform. Fast and accurate quotes, estimates and proposals can now be accomplished virtually by simply snapping a picture with any smartphone, uploading the picture to the cloud and taking the required 2D or 3D measurements. The solution is device agnostic with no added hardware, special camera or measuring tape required and is accurate up to ¼ of an inch. This technology allows for faster response times and new ways to increase quality control, while avoiding the inefficient and costly practice of sending personnel back and forth to job sites. In addition, because Smart Picture leverages the device every consumer has in their pocket, the solution opens up countless direct-to-consumer business models. The patented and patent-pending technology powering Smart Picture has been in development for over three years and leverages the latest “Computer Vision” technology. The company’s intellectual property includes 13 patents in various stages of the patent process. In 2015, the Austin, TX-based Smart Picture was named a finalist for Red Herring magazine’s “Top 100 North American Award,” a prestigious list of the most promising private technology companies.
