Why This Matters

Miami has many beautiful neighborhoods and areas that are thriving with development. North Miami Beach, Aventura and Sunny Isles are three in particular that are booming. Recent zoning changes in North Miami Beach have ushered in new commercial, retail and market-rate housing activity, and even the prospect of a Brightline station. 

A new brewery district has created a buzz in North Miami Beach, and will draw in new tenants like Descarga Brewing to the city. The goal is to rejuvenate North Miami Beach and create an amazing destinations like the Chinatown District for tourists, as well as the citizens of Miami. 

Sunny Isles Beach has been the hot-bed of a zoning debate that has residents and property owners angry, who believe the small coastal community is overdeveloped. Specifically, there is a proposal for Project Infinity, which will add 120 residential units, 220 hotel rooms and 22,560 square feet of retail space to the west side of Collins Avenue. City Commissioner, Dana Goldman, will weigh in. 

The Aventura Mall has been one of the biggest attractions in this neighborhood. Donald Soffer is credited for building the City of Aventura and turning it from swampland to an amazing place to live. His vision became a reality, and Aventura continues to remain a booming city, that is constantly growing with tons of development. Other projects like Esplanade at Aventura and the expansion of the Bal Harbour Shops will add more retail density to the area.
