ONE Sotheby’s International Realty

Cuban American real estate powerhouse, Mayi de la Vega is the Founder and CEO of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty (ONE SIR), a Sotheby’s Auction House affiliate and leading luxury brokerage firm in South Florida, that’s recognized in the Sotheby’s International Realty international network as the 5th highest producing affiliate based on average sales pricing. As a true visionary, de la Vega founded the luxury brokerage firm back in 2008 during the depths of the country’s worst economic crash with one office and 30 agents, which today has flourished to 15 offices and more than 750 agents.

De la Vega’s entrepreneurial spirit sprouted at a young age alongside her father, who together co-founded Intercontinental Metals, a distributing company that sold aluminum sheet and plate to the aerospace industry, where she built an affluent network that led her into her following endeavor, luxury real estate.

Alongside her son, Daniel de la Vega, the current president of ONE SIR, and Mayi’s leadership, ONE SIR’s development division set the precedent in the luxury market with 18 revered, luxury pre-construction exclusive developments in Miami-Dade and Broward, holding the majority market share of luxury condominiums above the million-dollar mark in their portfolio, which account for more than $4 billion worth of real estate inventory.

De la Vega prides herself in building a sustainable lifestyle, network and community for her clientele and staff. ONE SIR is recognized as the true voice of luxury through de la Vega’s achievements of maximizing the prestigious reputation of the historic Sotheby’s Auction House, challenging the status quo within the Sotheby’s International Realty network with award-winning marketing methods, publishing of ONE LIFE magazine and her induction into the network’s elite Braintrust Consortium.

The woman entrepreneur, philanthropist, real estate expert and avid art collector dedicates a lot of her time traveling the globe, serving as the brand ambassador for ONE SIR, while marketing Miami as an international cultural mecca.

Aside from serving as CEO of her company in the luxury real estate industry, she also dedicates her time to the local community through charitable, philanthropic organizations and educational programs both domestic and international. De la Vega is on the Chair Committee for the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, The Board of Trustees for FIU, The Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation and serves as a “Guardian Angel” for Jackson Memorial and a Board Member of CIF.

She currently resides in Miami Beach, Florida.

Why You Can't Miss Bisnow's Condoverse Reloaded: Branded Residences event

South Florida is the the global epicenter of branded residences. The brands that once lived in showrooms and runways are now commanding $5,000-per-square-foot price points and full sellouts before a shovel hits the ground. The question isn't whether branded residences work. The question is why they work, when they don't, what today's ultra-high-net-worth buyer responds to, and how developers are now engineering their own proprietary brands to compete on the same level.

Bisnow's Brand Residence event brings together the developers behind South Florida's most ambitious and talked-about branded projects for a day of unfiltered intelligence you won't find anywhere else. This isn't a panel about what branded residences are, it's a deep dive into how to build one, how to price one, how to sell one, and how to make the decision that could add hundreds of millions to your project's bottom line or cost you years of brand negotiation with nothing to show for it. The insight from this room will directly shape how you compete for, and win, the most valuable work in South Florida real estate.

Key Event Takeaways:

  • The real economics of a brand license deal: What developers actually pay for brand partnerships, how brand royalties are structured, when the premium justifies the cost, and the negotiation leverage points that most developers never ask for. Walk away knowing the math before you ever sign a term sheet.

  • Proprietary brand vs. licensed brand: The developers who built their own brands will explain exactly what it costs, how long it takes to build buyer trust without a known logo, and which market conditions favor each path. The answer will surprise you and could redefine your next project's strategy!

  • What the ultra-high-net-worth buyer wants in 2026: The brokers moving the most paper on branded product will break down the buyer psychology driving this market: Who is buying, what amenities close deal, and where the gap between what developers offer and what buyers actually want is widest. This is the intelligence that determines whether your project absorbs in 18 months or sits.

  • How brand selection affects your entire vendor and contractor ecosystem: Brand partners have standards, and often own approved vendor lists. Learn exactly how branded projects change the procurement, design approval, and construction management process and how to position yourself to win that work.

  • The submarkets and price points where branded residences still have room to run:  Not every ZIP code can support a $10M branded unit. Leading developers will identify where the next wave of branded product is headed,  from Coconut Grove to West Palm to Fort Lauderdale,  and the market signals that tell you whether a submarket is ready for branded or if you're too early.

  • Relationships that turn into the next deal before you leave the room: With hundreds of South Florida's most active developers, owners, investors, brokers, architects, GCs, designers, engineers, and more in one place, the networking at this event is not cocktail-hour small talk. It's the beginning of JVs, vendor contracts, and sales agreements. The developers on stage and in the audience are actively building and looking for collaborators.

Beyond the Name: Developing and Designing a Distinctive Residential Brand

A compelling residential identity can come from an established global brand or an original concept created by the developer. This panel will bring both approaches into one conversation, examining how developers determine the right strategy for a project and build a brand that feels authentic to its location and target audience. Developers, architects and designers will discuss everything from brand partnerships and creative direction to architecture, interiors, amenities and operations and what it takes to deliver the vision consistently from the initial concept through completion.

What Luxury Buyers Want

Does a recognizable name still command attention and a pricing premium, or are buyers increasingly drawn to distinctive independent properties? This panel will examine branded and proprietary concepts through the eyes of buyers, brokers and sales leaders. The conversation will explore what drives purchasing decisions, which amenities and services influence value, how buyer priorities differ across domestic and international markets, and what separates a compelling residential identity from a branding exercise that fails to resonate.
