Kobi Karp is the Founder and Principal of Kobi Karp Architecture and Interior Design, Inc (KKAID). Kobi Karp founded the firm in 1996 and has been the Principal-in-Charge of design since that time. KKAID is a full-service architectural and interior design firm providing a vast array of services, ranging from the design of large-scale, high-rise condominium and hospitality projects to intimate, small-scale low-rise residential and commercial structures.

Educated at the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Technology, Kobi Karp earned degrees in both Architecture and Environmental Design. Subsequently, Kobi Karp began his career working on major hospitality and all- inclusive resort projects throughout the United States and the Caribbean. His restoration design techniques have contributed to a renaissance in one of this country’s most cherished areas, Miami Beach’s Art Deco District which is internationally recognized around the world.

Kobi Karp has developed expertise in design over the last 20 years, working with a wide range of project types, sizes, complexities, and budgets. It is through this last quarter century working in warm weather climates that KKAID has garnered international acclaim and been selected to spearhead numerous resort projects. Developers and builders in the Caribbean, Black Sea region, and the Middle East have relied on the firm for their design eye and planning.

Kobi Karp is a recognized member of the American Institute of Architects, honored for his award-winning designs and buildings and he is a licensed Professional Architect in 9 states and in Abu Dhabi (UAE). His firm has been featured in renowned national and local publications based on their major contributions in the preservation of historical areas.

Reinaldo Borges

Reinaldo Borges has a Masters Degree in Architecture with a focus on Mixed-Use and Hybrid urban projects and urban design. With over 25 years of Professional experience, he has won numerous international design competitions awards. His work has been published in national and international architectural publications and ranges from design collaboration of the New American Airlines Arena in Miami, to the Royal Palm Crowne Plaza Resort Hotel in South Miami Beach, to a New Carillon Canyon Ranch Resort in Miami Beach, to Community Centers and Fire Stations in Sunrise Florida. He is a Florida and Maryland registered architect, a certified member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and an active member of the American Institute of Architects and the US Green Building Council.

Reinaldo has developed a well-rounded background in the field of architecture, in projects ranging from luxury high-rise multi-family residences to resort/urban hotels and complex mixed-use facilities to Fire Stations and Building renovations. Moderate to Luxury condominium high-rise design and hospitality projects are his strongest design specialties. Reinaldo uses responsive creative problem solving from concept to final detailed execution of the work, with an enthusiastic team oriented approach. He has successfully collaborated with national design teams in design collaborations numerous times. During the design of the new American Airlines Arena where Mr. Borges as the design leader, directed a team of over 20 design professional ranging from Sports Architects to Structural and Mechanical Engineers. Rigorous design oriented and balanced with a strong technical background is the Borges leadership approach to the profession of architecture and engineering systems.

Timothy Archambault

Timothy Archambault is a Miami-based designer with over 24 years of experience practicing architecture internationally in the United States, Europe, and Asia. He joined Oppenheim Architecture in 2015 as the Director of North American Operations and is responsible for executive-level quality assurance, project delivery, and client relations. Archambault manages the practice’s project design and documentation deliverables, working alongside the project team to deliver to the highest level of quality and to precise project schedules.

His recent project work includes the Metropica residential tower in Miami, Desert Rock Hotel and Sacred Reef resorts on the Red Sea, and the Java and Bali Resorts in Indonesia. Prior to joining Oppenheim Architecture, he worked with Rem Koolhaas/OMA on the Prada NY store, the Lehmann Maupin Gallery, and the MahaNakhon Tower in Bangkok. Other notable projects include the Dallas Wyly Theatre with OMA/REX; and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao with Frank O. Gehry & Associates.

A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Archambault has served as a guest critic at numerous institutions, including Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Yale School of Architecture, MIT School of Architecture, and Parsons School of Design.

In addition to his architectural achievements, Archambault is an accomplished Indigenous flutist and composer, and is a hereditary Senator of the Kichesipirini Algonquin First Nation. He is fascinated with space as a medium – expressed in both architecture and music – and how Indigenous precedents and nature can provide the building blocks for great architecture.

Pinar Harris

Vice President and Principal Pinar Harris

Born, raised, and educated in Turkey, Pinar Harris is a registered architect with nearly two decades of

design experience in urban mixed-use, high-end hospitality, hotels and resorts and multi-family

residential projects. Her synergetic approach to the design process has helped Pinar establish herself as

a leader at SB Architects, where she has been a team member for 18 years and is currently vice

president and principal. Pinar’s skill set includes technical proficiency, conceptual project development

skills, and a demonstrated strength in construction administration and project closeout. Her range of

architectural skills is informed by her diverse background and international experience on a variety of

project types. Since joining SB Architects, Pinar has been instrumental in the design of cutting-edge

hospitality and residential projects throughout Florida, including the Ritz-Carlton Residences Sarasota,

St. Regis Longboat Key, Saltaire and Art House in St. Petersburg, and 100 Las Olas in downtown Fort

Lauderdale.

With over 20 years of experience in professional planning and

architectural design, Giovanni guides projects with a blend of

business acumen, creativity, and project development abilities. He

has created elegant architectural designs for leading brands such

as St. Regis, JW Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, and Ritz Carlton in China,

South America, the U.S., and the Caribbean. His notable projects

include the Dorado Beach Ritz-Carlton Reserve and St. Regis Bahia

Beach. Innovation plays an intrinsic part in Giovanni’s approach, as he

focuses on delivering “next-generation” projects.

Jonah Hansen

Since joining KPF in 2004, Jonah has managed projects of varied scales

and programs throughout North America, China, and the Middle East,

immersing himself in the entirety of the design process, levying his

technical expertise to bridge aesthetic, functional, and programmatic

requirements.

Jonah’s iterative approach to project management embodies KPF’s

collaborative ethos as a client-oriented, full-service design practice. He is

committed to providing a comprehensive spectrum of architectural

expertise and client service throughout the design and construction

process.

In Nashville, Jonah is currently the Project Manager of an urban plan that

extends 30 acres, dedicated to increasing placemaking components

along the Cumberland River. In Tampa, Jonah managed a two-tower,

luxury residential project called Heron, located at the heart of a nine-

million SF, WELL-accredited, mixed-use district. Jonah’s quick decision-

making as Project Manager contributed to the project’s successful

delivery. Nearly fully leased, Heron commands some of the highest rents

in the city and has won multiple awards celebrating its sustainable and

responsive approach to placemaking. Also, in the role of Project Manager

for Arthaus in Philadelphia, Jonah helped guide the amenity-rich, luxury

condominium project through a full re-zoning and approvals process over

multiple years to ensure that the design was succinctly knit into the

Avenue of the Arts district. Jonah has also managed multiple award-

wining commercial office tower projects in Toronto and Vancouver.

Kenneth has enjoyed growing Interior Talent and working with the best

in this industry since 2003. As an avid public speaker, he is passionate

about sharing our expertise with both industry partners and emerging

professionals. Kenneth developed his industry-specific CEU and has

shared it as a key-note speaker at Neocon, Neocon East, Interiors, HD

Boutique, and multiple ASID and IIDA Chapter events. To our clients, he

brings a depth of strategic hiring experience and has consulted with

many organizations on succession planning, growth positioning, and

recruitment. Prior to joining Interior Talent, he spent 15 years in a

leadership role within the hospitality industry for several national

brands. In these roles, he hired, trained, and mentored hundreds of

employees. Personally, he is a huge University of Central Florida

Knights fan, father of two, and private pilot.

Armando Montero is an award winning, Architect, Professor, and co-founder of Ki Architects, a boutique

architectural firm dedicated to excellence in design. He brings over 40 years of experience in all aspects

of the design, construction, and real estate development, with projects spanning all levels of complexity.

In his tenure as a Professor, Armando has taught Architectural Theory and Design, at universities for 35

years. Currently he is the Director of the Master of Construction Management Program at the University

of Miami, School of Architecture where he is focused on bringing the Design and Construction industry

into the 4 th Industrial Revolution. He has been privileged to help many young architects launch their

careers. His tenure in teaching and experience has allowed him to solidify his theories in architecture,

and the values he holds true today.

Armando believes that the disposition of architecture defies fashion and is rooted in the representation

of nature itself in the context of place. Architecture is a language, and its poetic expression stirs the

emotions of those whom it shelters. Like music, when masterfully composed, architecture can heal. This

now becomes a core value of his practice.

Larry Flynn

Structural Steel Specialist – Central Florida

American Institute of Steel Construction

Larry Flynn is the Structural Steel Specialist for the Central Florida and South Florida markets for the American Institute of Steel Construction. Founded in 1921, AISC is the technical institute and trade association for domestically produced and fabricated structural steel. Larry’s role is to build relationships with A/E/C professionals and building owners and developers to help them design and build more efficient and better buildings using structural steel. Larry serves as a valued resource for steel innovations and information, a connection to the steel fabricator network in Florida and nationwide, and is a liaison to the technical staff in AISC’s Steel Solutions Center, which works with A/E/C pros to develop early conceptual studies of their projects illustrating how those projects might layout using a structural steel option. The service is free to the design and construction industry.

A St. Petersburg resident since 2019, Larry relocated from Chicago. Prior to moving to Florida, he served as the steel special for the Seattle and Portland, Ore., Market and spent 12 years in a national marketing role in AISC's Chicago headquarters. Before joining AISC, he served the building industry as a design and construction industry editor and journalist covering commercial buildings, as well as bridges and infrastructure design and construction for national trade magazines. He is a graduate of Indiana University.

Carolina Keimig is the founder and owner of Ba-Haus KNF LLC. She graduated from New York School of Interior Design with a Master's in Fine Arts. In 1992 Carolina Keimig opened her studio in the amidst of South Beach's new development era, quickly coming to worldwide attention for her iconic glamorous & urban design. With over 30 years’ experience, Carolina Keimig has been well known for her professional practice as an Interior Designer and Branding Creator for the finest Hotel brands, independent properties, Restaurants, Casinos, and High-end residential properties in North, Central, South America and the Caribbean.
