Dina’s team promotes sustainable advancement in design, construction and operations of the built environment through the planning and implementation of green strategy across building portfolios and organizations.

Dina is responsible for elevating real estate owners’ portfolios through effective sustainability strategies that are result-driven and have measurable impact. As a director, she leads business development, strategic planning, program development and change management spanning markets from commercial real estate to retail and hospitality.

With twenty years of experience in the development and hospitality industry, Dina has focused her career on pushing the envelope for sustainable development and operations for an impressive list of hotel properties throughout the US. Dina has served in development and sustainability leadership roles within prominent hotel brands, including Marriott International, Wyndham Worldwide and The Peabody Hotel Group. Most recently Belon has worked in the sustainable supply space and as principal of RUSH Hospitality, a sustainability design and construction company.

Dina graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. She is a Licensed Interior Designer in the State of Florida and a LEED Accredited Professional with an ID&C specialty. An accomplished speaker, she has led numerous panels and educational sessions at a variety of hospitality focused conferences, forums and expos.

Sandra Mallory is the Sustainable Building Program Manager in the Seattle Office of Sustainability and Environment. She leads the team to develop the programs and policies for buildings in support of Seattle’s Climate Action Plan. Key initiatives include development of the recently adopted benchmarking transparency and building tune-up mandates and a Citywide Resource Conservation Management program to address the City’s portfolio of existing buildings. Before joining the City, Sandra both practiced architecture – with Environmental Works, where she focused on greening affordable housing – and taught Sustainable Design – in an interdisciplinary Sustainable Systems program. Sandra is a registered architect in the State of Washington and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Walker is a longtime advocate for reconnecting the landscape with the built environment. His personal mission is to build living buildings that meet the food, water, energy and waste needs of the inhabitants inside; at less cost than current building methods. He believes this will change the world. A few of his favorite things: His two daughters playing Catness and Rue in is Permculture food forest; that the living walls and roofs he helps people install can actually help people heal, and live happier more productive lives; watching others grow; really good sushi, and ramen, actually just any good food.

Claudia Frère-Anderson is the Director of the UW's Sustainability office and oversees communications, reporting, and programs in addition to supervising staff and many students and interns. Frère-Anderson started her career in the financial services industry prior to working in the nonprofit/social entrepreneurship sector in the San Francisco Bay Area. In these positions, she launched community involvement plans for multinational companies and advised corporations with corporate social responsibility program implementations.

Frère-Anderson graduated Cum Laude in Politics from the University of San Francisco and received an MBA in Corporate Social Responsibility from Nottingham University Business School in the UK where she received a full scholarship from the International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (ICCSR). While in graduate school, Frère-Anderson launched the business school's first Net Impact Chapter and led post-graduate students with environmental engagement projects. Frère-Anderson volunteers with various nonprofit organizations and served as a Board Advisor to the Seattle Net Impact Professional Chapter.

Brett Phillips is an award-winning sustainability leader and advocate, whose private and public work on decarbonization is shaping how the built environment is addressing climate change. He is Vice President of Sustainable and Responsible Investments at Unico Properties, a subsidiary of Unico Investment Group, where he manages high-performance green building and renewable energy projects for Unico’s national real estate portfolio. He is also co-founder and Vice President of Unico Solar Investors, a Unico subsidiary that develops, operates, and supplies solar energy for commercial real estate and business portfolios across the United States.

Since 2008, Brett has overseen sustainable development and operations projects for over 25 million square feet of LEED-certified real estate. Notable projects include the Bullitt Center (the world’s largest commercial “Living Building”), LEED Platinum Stone34 in Seattle, and the award-winning LEED Platinum development of Circa Building in Denver. In a personal venture, he is developing Inspire, Seattle’s first zero-carbon multifamily building which is drawing the blueprint for net-positive residential developments in the region.

Brett is a co-founder and the current board chair of the 2030 Districts Network, a nonprofit organization devoted to creating a global network of low-carbon cities. He authored the update to Seattle’s Living Building Challenge Pilot and the creation of the 2030 Challenge Pilot which provide critical land-use incentives for new and existing buildings in exchange for delivering low-carbon buildings. He is also an Architecture 2030 Senior Fellow, where he is promoting the adoption of the 2030 Challenge to rapidly decarbonize the built environment as a central solution to stemming the climate crisis.

Brett’s work has earned Unico and his projects numerous industry accolades including Washington’s Green Company of the Year in 2011 and Multifamily Executive’s Sustainable Development of the Year in 2017 for his work on The Commons at Ballard. In 2019, Commercial Property Executive named him one of their “Stars to Watch.”

A Seattle native, Susan Wickwire is thrilled to return to the area to lead the Seattle 2030 District after working to advance sustainable solutions to address climate change for over 20 years with the federal government in Washington, DC. Susan directed three national climate change programs at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency – the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Partnership, the Green Power Partnership, and the Center for Corporate Climate Leadership. She has seen first-hand how performance benchmarks motivate action and the successes that come out of effective public-private partnerships.

Earlier in her career, Susan managed international climate change projects and was a member of U.S. delegations to the negotiations under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change both at EPA and the U.S. Department of State. Through those experiences, she gained a deeper understanding of how to work productively with others who have different values and beliefs and stoked her keen interest in international travel. Susan has a Masters in Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and a BA in Political Science from Whitman College.

With more than seventeen years experience building homes in the greater Seattle area, Anthony is an advocate for sustainable design and Net Zero Energy construction. He continues to push the envelope in the built green community with innovative construction methods that have positively influenced city building practices. As a result of this commitment and effort, Anthony and Dwell have won numerous National, Regional and Local Sustainable and Design Awards. As a lifelong Seattleite, Anthony has a deep commitment to creating communities that bring together like-minded individuals who value sustainability and a modern reclaimed design.

Anthony has served as the Chair on the Board of the MBA’s Built Green Residential Building Program for the last five years. He serves on the NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) Sustainability & Green Building Subcommittee.

He is a key member of the Columbia City Business Association and Georgetown Communities, and is sought after as a thought leader in the national and local sustainable communities to promote and share Dwell Development’s green agenda.

Patti Southard is the program manager for “GreenTools” green building program in King County Washington. At King County Southard runs the Sustainable Cities Program which focuses on coordinating all of King County’s 39 cities on built environment and climate related policies. In addition Southard provides technical assistance for the County’s LEED, Living Building Challenge and Built Green initiatives. Southard has led the GreenTools program as a two time Harvard Bright Idea Award winner and recently received Governor Jay Inslee’s Solar Community Award for the Regional Code Collaboration which she co-chairs with the Kathleen Petrie, City of Seattle.

Southard was raised on her family farm and has focused her sustainable development career on the juxtaposition between rural and urban communities and planning. Southard’s personal accolades include the Built Green Pioneer Award, Cascadia Green Building Council Public Sector Leadership Award, Sustainable Cities Inspirational Leadership Award, is a Cascadia Fellow, Living Future Hero and Honorary AIA.
