Jamie Phillips is president and chief operating officer of Seattle Children’s. In this role, she supports the overall system and clinical business operations and oversees government relations, marketing and communications.

Phillips has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare administration, the past 14 of which have been in operations leadership roles. Most recently, she served as chief operating officer and vice president of Children’s Services at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland, California. In addition to her time at Benioff Children’s Hospitals, she served at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Phillips holds a master’s degree in health administration from The Ohio State University and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is the recipient of numerous awards including the Ohio Diversity and Leadership Multicultural Leadership Award and the YMCA Cincinnati Black Achiever Award. She has also served as an adjunct professor for the Undergraduate Healthcare Management Program at Franklin University.

Cynthia Dold began serving as the interim president of UW Medicine Hospitals & Clinics on Oct. 2, 2022. In this role, she is responsible for leading a clinical system with three hospitals, a network of primary, urgent and specialty care clinics and an air medical transport service.

In previous positions at UW Medicine, including Associate Vice President for Clinical Operations and Director of Strategic Planning and Clinical Integration, Dold has led diverse teams of employees focused on access, digital health, service line implementation, emergency management and post-acute care. She has also provided administrative oversight for UW Medicine’s nationally recognized response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dold is known for leading strategic planning initiatives and fostering collaborations with federal, state and local government leaders and other healthcare organizations. At Public Health – Seattle & King County, she developed and led a public-private partnership to assure disaster preparedness. At Kaiser Permanente in Northern California, she managed a national product council that developed an industry leading medical and non-medical selection and standardization program.

Dold has a Master of Public Policy and a Master of Public Health from the University of California at Berkeley. She has a Bachelor of Arts from UCLA.

planning activities, space oversight and allocation, design standards, capital renovation/expansion

projects, and move/add/change services for Seattle Children’s Hospital. Mandy has partnered with

senior leadership to develop iterative master plans for both administrative and clinical spaces including

the main hospital campus. She brings a unique perspective to planning, design, and construction

services with her master’s in counseling psychology and background in Lean consulting and process

improvement. She has worked on numerous projects using Integrated Facilities Design (IFD)

methodology which applies Lean principles to master planning and space design.

I was on my first construction crew at 14 years old and worked construction through college. After an early career in marine biology working in aquaculture and for the Wa State Dept of Fish and Wildlife, I returned to construction where I worked for an independent contractor building high-end custom homes for a decade. In 2009, I went to work for Jefferson Healthcare as a maintenance carpenter and project coordinator. In 2014 I was promoted to Construction Project Coordinator/USDA recognized Resident Inspector for our 45,000 square foot MOB project we were undertaking. In 2015, I was promoted to Construction and Planning Manager for Jefferson Healthcare, managing both large scale construction like our current 58,000 square foot campus modernization and expansion project, as well as the continual work of replacing major medical equipment, internal hospital upgrades and acquiring and remodeling offsite facilities.

Michael brings over 13 years of experience in real estate development to his current

role as a Healthcare Specialist and Development Manager at Seneca Group. He

played a key role in the $500 million, 300,000 SF expansion of Seattle Children’s

Hospital’s Forest B, which included an inpatient pharmacy, operating rooms, sterile

processing, and a cancer/blood disorder clinic. Presently, he leads various

infrastructure and campus renewal projects for Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Prior to his tenure at Seneca Group, Michael held multiple positions within the

medical real estate sector. As a Regional Project Manager at Healthcare Realty, he

oversaw a project portfolio for various regional healthcare clients within the western

US. While with CBRE, Michael delivered project execution and strategic real estate

Richard Paddock is a Senior Vice President of Development with Anchor Health Properties and is based in the Franklin, TN office.

Mr. Paddock brings diverse expertise in business development, project management, estimation, and compliance with codes and safety requirements within a healthcare environment. His expertise continues to facilitate and expand Anchor’s comprehensive development platform, including market analysis, site selection, conceptual planning, design, and construction. Mr. Paddock is responsible for leading the development process and managing the project teams, including architects, construction managers, engineers, attorneys, and other specialists, to ensure that our client’s needs are met and deliver a successful healthcare development strategy.

Prior to joining Anchor, Mr. Paddock held key roles in project management and construction with Kindred Healthcare.

Mr. Paddock is a graduate from the University of North Florida with a degree in Building Construction Management.

Katie Newman is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of High Point Healthcare Real Estate, LLC, and a passionate leader with over 25 years of experience in the design, construction, and development industry. She has successfully managed the development of over 1 million square feet of healthcare real estate, including medical facilities, surgery centers, and senior housing facilities, all with a strong focus on serving communities.

Katie’s journey began as an architect, where her hands-on approach to designing and building projects across various sectors laid the foundation for her reputation as a collaborative problem solver. Her ability to navigate complex challenges and simplify them into actionable solutions has empowered her clients to create spaces that enhance the well-being of the communities they serve.

With expertise spanning the entire real estate process—from community engagement and project kick-off to first patient day—Katie ensures that every project she leads receives meticulous attention while keeping an eye on the bigger picture. She collaborates closely with community stakeholders, ensuring that each development not only meets industry standards but also aligns with the needs of the people who live, work, and heal in these spaces.

Katie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Rice University and an MBA in Real Estate and Strategy from Southern Methodist University, both of which have fueled her passion for creating impactful spaces that foster healthier communities.

Audie Wallace is a seasoned professional with over 35 years of experience in the construction and design industry, specializing in healthcare. He has deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) concepts, which he seamlessly integrates with architectural designs to meet the specific needs of patient care. Audie’s leadership style is rooted in mentorship, fostering teamwork, innovation, business strategy, financial health, and risk management—all aimed at exceeding client expectations.

Audie has been involved in several award-winning healthcare projects across the Pacific Northwest. His expertise in blending cutting-edge construction methods with complex design requirements has consistently delivered projects that meet stringent energy codes, budgets, and patient care standards. His hands-on approach ensures the success of each project from conception to completion, with a strong focus on safety, culture, and reliable performance.

As an expert in mechanical engineering, project management, and lean construction, Audie has led major projects, including large hospital campuses and level 1 trauma centers, as well as medical office buildings (MOBs) and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). He is affiliated with several professional organizations, including ASHRAE, ASHE, SMACNA, OSHA, PMI, and MCAA, reflecting his commitment to industry standards and continuous professional development.

Kate Galpin is a Principal and Lead Medical Planner with BA/Science, Boulder Associates' team of expert process and design consultants. She has over 20 years of experience focused exclusively on the planning and design of healthcare facilities as a high-performing project manager and forward-thinking medical planner. Most recently, Kate has been bringing her expertise to bear creating a robust benchmarking program at the firm, aggregating and analyzing decades of project information to implement a data-driven approach to the design of new facilities. Kate graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.

Dylan Hayes is the Healthcare Specialist for Security Solutions Northwest, a Washington based security and fire integrator partner. He is responsible for leading healthcare relationships, technology solutions, strategy and oversight for projects and customers. He transitioned from Seattle Children's Hospital and Research Institute after serving 23 years in security, IT, and emergency program leadership. Over his career, he managed the technical and complex integrated security system design, project implementation, and service support of 4,000,000 SF for all Seattle Children's expansion and renovation projects across the region from 1999-2023. His responsibility included the 24-acre hospital campus, regional clinics, admin buildings and (later) research campus. He is dedicated to the collaborative, integrated design process, making strategic thoughtful long-term security infrastructure and software investments that provide holistic organizational value. Dylan is passionate about a high-quality, safe, and therapeutic, patient care environment and extending the security infrastructure data and tools to drive business resilience, operational efficiency, and compliance to the front-line teams across all the service lines. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Central Washington University and the esteemed CPP credential from ASIS and CHPA from IAHSS. He is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security, the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security and Washington State Crime Prevention Association. He has also served as an educator for Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design for local law enforcement and security professionals across Washington State.
