Kevin Daniels has over 30 years of real estate experience, including leasing, development and property management, and is the President of Nitze-Stagen & Co., Inc. and Daniels Real Estate, LLC. Nitze-Stagen focuses on the investment into and Daniels Real Estate the redevelopment of, landmarked structures and community redevelopment projects in Seattle, Washington. Mr. Daniels is recognized as a leading voice for historic preservation in his community and is nationally recognized on the issue of stimulating economic development through preservation efforts. Over the last few years his development team has received two National Preservation Awards and numerous local & state awards for their work. Recently he was named Seattle’s 2015 Downtown Champion and was the first recipient of the Urban Hero award from the International Sustainability Institute, and received the Washington State Special Achievement Award and the Judge’s Choice Award from the National Association of Office & Industrial Properties for his work to save the historic First United Methodist Church in Seattle. The American Institute of Architects has made him an honorary member in Seattle for his body of work.

Mr. Daniels’ current projects include the construction of a 43 story high-rise office tower in downtown Seattle as part of the preservation of the last historic sanctuary building within the central business district (culminating a nearly 25 year preservation court battle) and the largest transit oriented development in the Pacific Northwest- Stadium Place (culminating a 25 year planning effort). The firms’ current property investments and past development activity in Seattle include Starbucks Center (currently the largest, at 2.1 million square feet, and oldest LEED-EB Gold certified building in the country), Union Station corporate campus (a 1.1 million square foot office campus sitting on top of the regional light rail transit center) and Merrill Place (a full block mixed use in historic Pioneer Square).

Mr. Daniels serves on the Board of Trustees for the National Trust for Historic Preservation where he is vice-chair of the Audit Committees. He also serves on the Board of Regents for Gonzaga University and is co-chair of the Alliance for Pioneer Square. Mr. Daniels serves on the boards of the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation and Historic Seattle as board emeriti. Mr. Daniels is actively involved in Operation Comeback in New Orleans and has worked with AIA and AWB on seven trips to bring architects and other professionals to the lower Ninth Ward rebuilding effort. In addition he recently worked with the Jane Goodall Institute’s Shanghai office (Roots & Shoots program) to bring the EcoAudit program to the United States with the establishment of the first program office in Seattle. In collaboration with the Cool School Challenge this sustainability education program for youth is now spreading across the country. Finally, Mr. Daniels has assisted the National Trust in the creation of the Preservation Green Lab offices in Seattle.

Paul Menzies has 43 years of experience in all aspects of real estate investment and development including underwriting, finance, workouts, design, construction, management and marketing of both residential and commercial projects. Unlike many CEOs, Paul is directly involved in every facet of every project, from strategic decision-making to design detail. Paul began his undergraduate degree at the London School of Economics, and completed it at the University of California at Berkeley. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in real estate and finance from the University of California at Berkeley.

Torsten has over 14 years of experience as an executive in the hospitality and senior living industry. Prior to joining Transforming Age, Torsten held executive positions at Oakmont Senior Living as well as Pacific Retirement Services responsible for the startup, operations and management of multiple CCRCs and communities. Torsten holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, both from Southern Oregon University. He also received a bachelor’s in International Tourism Studies from Hochschule Harz, in Wernigerode, Germany. He is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and Preceptor.

Lindsey has devoted her career to understanding the risks faced by design and construction professionals. Her clients include owners, owner’s representatives, international multi-disciplinary design firms, as well as local engineering and architecture firms. Lindsey takes great pride in offering an integrated suite of services to her clients, providing advice on risk management, contract negotiation, conflict resolution, as well as defending her clients from claims.

Lindsey has represented design and construction professionals in all manner of civil litigation at both the federal and state court levels, including defending her clients from claims involving allegations of defects, cost overruns or schedule overruns on construction projects ranging from residential to commercial to infrastructure; as well as claims of personal injury or wrongful death against construction and/or design professionals occurring on construction projects or allegedly related to design/construction safety issues on completed projects.

Lindsey’s clients benefit from her litigation insight. In addition to her litigation practice, Lindsey counsels her clients in prudent contracting practices, careful client selection, collection strategies, partnering agreements and many other aspects of their daily work. She works with her clients throughout the life of their projects to ensure careful risk management, and is often called upon to assist with conflict resolution between project participants.

Gregory Steinhauer is a graduate of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (1984) with a Bachelor of Science in economics. He has spent his entire working career in construction and real estate development. He currently directs all American Life, Inc. large-scale development projects and oversees SODO Builders, the company’s in-house construction company.

A lifelong resident of Seattle, Greg served as president of a construction and residential development company for 15 years that specialized in urban infill mid-rise projects. Just prior to joining American Life, he was vice president of development for a billion-dollar institutional real estate investment firm in which he was active in acquiring and entitling several projects.

Greg is an active board member of Mercer Island Boys and Girls Club and Seattle Police Foundation. He is also an active longtime supporter of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Ethan Stowell is the CEO and Founder of Ethan Stowell Restaurants in Seattle. He was recognized with the 2018 Terrance Keenan Leadership Award in Health Philanthropy presented by Grantmakers In Health. Prior to joining SeaFdn, Michael served as a legislative aide to City of Seattle Councilmember Richard McIver and Deputy Director for the Washington Association for Community Economic Development. He received his Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola University (New Orleans).
