Tom is a co-founder of Madrona and is active on several portfolio company boards. Tom has also served on the boards of numerous public and private companies and is a director of Amazon.com on which he has served since before it went public in 1997. Tom serves on the technology industry boards TechNet Northwest and the Washington State Technology Alliance. He was formerly a member of the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He is also on the Investment Committee of the Seattle Foundation. Ranked number 12 of the 35 most influential business leaders in the Seattle area by Puget Sound Business Journal. “The most difficult part of my job? Measuring my enthusiasm for every idea I hear. There are a lot of exciting ideas out there.”

PAST LIVES

Immediately prior to co-founding Madrona Investment Group in 1995, Tom served as president of public companies LIN Broadcasting Corporation and Executive Vice President of McCaw Cellular Communications, Inc. Previously, he was chair of the Executive Committee and Partner in the Northwest’s largest law firm, Perkins Coie, where he was principal counsel for The Boeing Company, Alaska Airlines and a number of early technology companies. Before that he was an attorney with Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York. He is past chair of the Washington State Technology Alliance and the Discovery Institute, past chair of the Pacific Science Center and past president of Intiman Theater in Seattle. He was co-chair of the capital campaign for the Computer Science and Engineering Department’s new building at the University of Washington.

EXTRACURRICULAR

In addition to being an avid sailor, Tom joined forces with celebrated winemaker Mike Januik to build the Novelty Hill Januik winery in nearby Woodinville, WA. He was also one of the principal participants in the development the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Seattle.

EDUCATION

A graduate of Ballard High School in Seattle, Tom attended Harvard College, where he graduated cum laude. He then received his law degree from Columbia Law School where he was an editor of the Columbia Law Review.

Bill is the co-founder and Managing Principal of Talon Private Capital (Talon), LLC. Talon is a

Seattle based, 25-person, private equity company focused on commercial real estate investments

on the West Coast. Talon has current total investments exceeding $500,000,000.

Prior to co-founding Talon in late 2009, Bill was a Principal and co-founder of Pacific Real

Estate Partners, Inc., (PREP) a regional commercial real estate brokerage. Over his 17 years at

PREP, he was instrumental in growing the company to market dominance in the Pacific

Northwest and exclusively represented national and regional tenants.

Bill is the 2017-2018 Chairman of Urban Land Institute Northwest Chapter and currently serves

on the board of the University of Washington Runstad Center of Real Estate Studies. He has held

numerous leadership positions in civic, charitable and industry groups, including past Chair of

SIOR, NAIOP, Bellevue Schools Foundation, and many more.

Bill has been married for 30 years to his college sweetheart and has two adult children.

Before returning to his home state of Washington from New York, Scott was with Related Urban Development (formerly The Palladium Company) and Related Lodging Group, real estate development affiliates of The Related Companies, L.P. Prior to that, Scott co-founded Cityfeet, a leading online commercial real estate network that was sold to LoopNet.

While in business school, Scott was a financial analyst at MAX Capital Management Corporation, handling real estate acquisitions and financings. He was also a summer associate at Paine Webber Real Estate Securities, providing principal lending and investments for opportunity funds and other real estate clients.

Before attending graduate school, Scott worked in Washington, DC, conducting property management and marketing at The JBG Companies, management and strategic consulting with KPMG, and government affairs and policy analysis with Preston Gates Ellis & Rouvelas Meeds. Scott received his BA with honors in government and American studies from Wesleyan University and his MBA in real estate and finance from Columbia Business School.

Ms. Lundstedt brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience in corporate real estate, portfolio

management, acquisitions, and commercial development. She is currently responsible for managing F5 Networks’

global real estate portfolio with responsibility for all leasing, lease administration and financial analysis for F5’s

offices and data centers in 70 countries totaling 1.5 million SF.

She previously served as Manager, Western Washington Real Estate & Construction for Providence Health &

Services with responsibility for asset management functions for Providence Health & Services real estate in

Washington state, most notably working to incorporate Swedish Health Services real estate portfolio, post affiliation

of the two healthcare organizations, in to Providence's existing $10 billion real estate portfolio.

Prior to joining Providence served as Director of Due Diligence at Harsch Investment Properties where she was

directly responsible for negotiations and due diligence for $320 million in real estate acquisitions and dispositions of

office, retail, industrial and multifamily properties.

Prior to joining Harsch Investment Properties Ms. Lundstedt was Director of Real Estate & Construction at Pacific

Bells Inc., a Yum! Brands Franchisee (Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, & Long John Silver's) who held $100 million in

commercial drive thru restaurants.  She was responsible for developing asset management functions of leased &

owned locations, implemented portfolio reporting and developed long term asset strategies. She also oversaw site

selection, property acquisition, entitlements, and construction management of new and remodel quick service

restaurant locations.  While at Pacific Bells she executed a $42 million, 31 property, sale leaseback transaction.

Prior to Pacific Bells, Ms. Lundstedt was Director of Real Estate & Development for KinderCare Learning Centers,

while owned by Kohlberg Kravis and Roberts. She oversaw asset management of a $1 billion real estate portfolio

comprised of 1,300 leased and owned childcare locations throughout the United States and acted as corporate

oversight of all new store development.  While managing the company’s Real Estate Development Planning &

Analysis Department she developed and implemented policies and procedures for new store development and

portfolio management.  While at KinderCare she managed real estate & legal due diligence for a $300 million

CMBS transaction securitized by 475 properties.

Ms. Lundstedt has also worked for a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy & Northwest Natural Gas gaining

experience in acquisitions, dispositions and reporting for federally regulated utilities.  Ms. Lundstedt began her real

estate career as a Commercial Property Manager with Cushman & Wakefield.  Ms. Lundstedt holds a Bachelor of

Science from the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon.

In November 2014 Jon Scholes became President and CEO of DSA following six years as the organization’s Vice President of Advocacy and Economic Development. He believes downtown Seattle is an essential voice of leadership in a rapidly growing and evolving city.

Jon’s passion for taking on big issues is reflected in his 15 years of work in nonprofit advocacy, local government, and senior positions on statewide political campaigns. At DSA he leads a diverse team focused on creating a healthy, vibrant and inviting downtown.

Jon is a member of the Visit Seattle Board of Directors and the Downtown Transportation Alliance and has served on a number of city and county task forces on transportation, homelessness and housing. He is a Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40 award winner and a graduate of Leadership tomorrow. He attended the University of Texas in Austin before graduating from the University of Washington.

Jon lives in downtown Seattle with his wife and seven-year-old twins, Parker and Avery. In his spare time Jon sails, skis and rides motorcycles. He loves how much mental focus and presence each activity requires.

Skylar joined Zillow in the summer of 2012. Her research is used by consumers, policy makers, and other

researchers to understand the real estate markets and make better decisions. While authoring

numerous research projects such as A House Divided – How Race Colors the Path to Homeownership,

she also creates many of Zillow’s real estate metrics, including the Buyer-Seller Index and the Buy-Rent

Breakeven Horizon. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Washington and specializes in

the spatial patterns of housing and demographic change.

Sarah currently serves as the Executive VP of Sales at ManageGo for the North American region, where she focuses on building strategies and collaborating with property managers and partners to help drive innovation in the property management space.

With an extensive history in management and sales, Sarah joined ManageGo in 2013 and took on responsibilities in sales, consulting, and strategic partnerships. Sarah has held a series of increasingly expanding positions, including managing the in-house sales team as director of sales.

Sarah also advises on the strategic development of the ManageGo product with her knack for market research and strategic expansion. By engaging with experienced real estate developers and industry leaders, following real estate development trends and attending a multitude of educational technology and real estate conferences, Sarah has been instrumental in driving the ManageGo product to new heights.

Scé started her career in the 90s in Silicon Valley, designing and developing the 1st ecommerce sites for GM, HP, Blue Cross and others. Later she helped to pioneer smart phones at Palm. In 2007, Scé started her own company, Citizen, the 7th fastest growing company in Oregon which focuses on Internet of Things (IoT) products such as connected cars and connected health. While developing IoT products for these industries, she realized that there was a lack of enterprise-level Smart Apartment solution designed specifically for the Multi-Family-Home Industry. In 2014, she founded IOTAS, a smart apartment hardware and software technology company to help the MFH industry increase revenue, save costs, gather insights & monetize data from their portfolios. IOTAS has been recognized by Fortune, Wired, Gigaom, ABC, NBC, Chicago Tribune and more as the new way of automating apartments to attract tenants. Scé has spoken at Health 2.0, TechFest NW, WebVisions, NAA, and BISNOW on the impact of Internet of Things.

Celebrating his 14th year with Microsoft, Eric Kamont has established a reputation for working on cutting edge technology and startup businesses, shaping the strategy to align to partner and customers around the world. With significant industry background in manufacturing and retail, combined with successful endeavors such as Mixed Reality with HoloLens and the Internet of Things, Kamont brings to bear a vision that crosses both the technical and business landscape. Prior, he spent time in the engineering and construction, and gas turbine industries, pushing the envelope on technology usage in both. Self-funding his collegiate pursuits, Kamont holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

Jamie Fleming is an entrepreneur and immersive technology leader with a deep understanding of the (un)-built environment. As Co-founder and CEO of Studio216, Jamie is leading the development of virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality solutions to real world problems.

Jen Hensley is President, Link, overseeing all aspects of the LinkNYC program including deployment, operations, and service delivery for the world’s most comprehensive free public Wi-Fi network.

Prior to joining Intersection, Jen led the expansion and evolution of the City’s preeminent civic advocacy organization as Executive Director of the Association for a Better New York (ABNY). Previously, she was Senior Adviser to the Chairman at Empire State Development Corporation, leading economic development projects across New York State. Jen has also held positions in finance at Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase, and served as Assistant Vice President at the Alliance for Downtown New York.

Jen brings more than 15 years of experience working with government, civic, and business communities to Intersection, and she’s an integral part of the company’s Smart Cities mission. A graduate of Barnard College, she holds an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business, and an MPA from NYU's Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.

Bryan Copley is CEO and Co-founder at CityBldr. A Seattle native, Bryan's first job at 15 was at a small software company - as its janitor. After continually breaking the company's application during breaks, he was offered a role as a software tester, where he worked for three years. During this time, he became fascinated with automation.

After dropping out of college for the third time, Bryan was offered a position as a pro bono apprentice for a real estate investor, who taught him his first critical lesson in real estate: everything was for sale. Spending his free time after 8 hour work days poring over myriad spreadsheets and non-standardized data sets, Bryan fell in love with the work but lamented the manual, industry-standard nature of data collection and analyzation. In the fall of 2004 he determined to someday automate that process.

After a decade in real estate finance, data arbitrage, technology sales, Wall Street, and after founding 4 other companies including real estate technologies Rebls and Everyhome, he co-founded CityBldr with Devyn Cairns when they built the first real estate arbitrage index. The company was named Innovator of the Month by the Puget Sound Business Journal in September 2017. When he's not working, Bryan enjoys being in the mountains with friends and family.

A-P Hurd’s 20-year career spans real estate, finance and

technology. Her experience running a real estate company and

developing nearly $2B of new buildings in Seattle has made her a

strong investment and risk manager—in addition to having a deep

understanding of how her supply chain comes together to create

value. A-P is known for her ability to innovate in a highly

regulated industry and think strategically about how public policy

and technology are shaping her sector.

A-P was hired at Touchstone in 2007 to assemble a new leadership team and execute a merger/transition from

a founder-led company. In 2014 Touchstone was successfully acquired by Urban Renaissance Group, and A-P

became President until the completion of the portfolio of projects in August 2017. Under her leadership, the

company earned several awards, including National Developer of the Year. She was responsible for the

company’s overall financial performance including operating P&L and investment returns. A-P worked closely

with investors and lenders including insurance companies, pension fund advisors, regional and national banks.

She was deeply involved in the long-term capitalization strategy for her parent company (URG) and was also

the executive head of their IT portfolio.

A-P recently started another company—Skipstone—which is providing consulting services to public sector and

private sector clients.

Prior to Touchstone, A-P’s career was focused in operations and software development. She worked for an

enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider, and her work there (as well as much of her graduate

research) concentrated on complex systems architecture. For a few years she also traded interest rate

derivatives for Royal Bank of Canada, the largest Canadian bank. In that role, she worked closely with corporate

treasuries and developed her risk management skills.

Board work

In 2017, A-P joined the board of CityBldr, a technology company focused on unlocking value though

assemblages of land in transitioning neighborhoods. From 2013-2016, A-P served on the board of OneBuild-- a

privately-held modular construction and development company.

She is currently a board member at the Metro Seattle Chamber where she also sits on the Executive

Committee, the Finance Committee, and co-chairs the Policy Leadership Group. She is a member of the

Community Development Roundtable (CDRT). A-P has served on many other non-profit and industry boards

including as the board chair and Chapter President for NAIOP Washington—the industry association for the

commercial real estate industry, and the board treasurer at Forterra.
