Jonathan Wall leads NBBJ’s commercial practice in San Francisco with an innovative perspective that keeps him at the forefront of international work. He brings with him over 20 years of focused experience in international design for commercial mixed-use projects, strategically guiding projects from concept through construction. During his 14 years with NBBJ, Jonathan worked in the NBBJ New York office prior to founding the Hong Kong office, which he led from 2009 to 2017. The strength of his work includes urban environments, tall tower developments, and commercial sites.

Scott Dunlap is Design Director for NBBJ’s San Francisco office. He has over 20 years of experience across a multitude of building types, with the common thread of human experience and building performance. In recent years Scott has been focused on the rapidly changing market of workplace campus design. The amenity rich, healthy, sustainable and technology influenced campus has been evolving for some time, but Scott’s attention is on the major changes in “last mile” and autonomous transportation that are shaping the future campus in unexpected ways.

Scott is a licensed architect with over 30 years of experience in Global Corporate Real Estate, including managing and leading all aspects of the CRE

lifecycle; portfolio and workplace research, planning and design, acquisition, implementation, and operations throughout the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Scott has developed and managed innovative and effective work environments, meeting the needs of the business and supporting key work

activities of employees, resulting in the savings of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Scott is currently the Senior Director of Global Real Estate at Adobe in San Jose, California. In this role, he is responsible for all real estate transactions, project delivery, portfolio investment strategies, and employee experience (design, food, events, and wellness). Prior to this role at Adobe, Scott was the Director of Real Estate Strategy and Planning at T-Mobile. Scott was also the VP of Enterprise Solutions at Better Workplace, and held a variety of positions in the corporate real estate group at Sun Microsystems.

Ron Golem is VTA’s Deputy Director for Real Estate and Joint Development. He is responsible for acquisition of real estate for VTA transportation projects, including BART to Silicon Valley, as well as creation of public-private partnerships for mixed-use and mixed-income Transit-Oriented Development on more than 200 acres in Santa Clara County. Previously, Ron was a consultant working with agencies throughout the US on TOD station area plans and projects, public-private partnerships, economic development initiatives, and urban revitalization.

Malcolm Hobbs is VP of Marketing and Market Development at Join. Malcolm has extensive startup and enterprise marketing and business development experience in markets including SaaS, Industrial IoT, Analytics and Sustainability. Hobbs is responsible for driving the product and go-to-market strategy in the rapidly evolving CRE technology sector.

Prior to Join, Hobbs led Momentum Strategy, guiding sales and marketing and raising venture capital for startups. Previously he has served as VP of Marketing & Market Development roles at Supply Chain Visibility vendor ICIX, publicly traded Saba and Docent. Other roles included SVP Marketing at publicly traded Business Intelligence vendor Sagent; VP, Corporate Communications at Oracle; and senior channel marketing, communications and business development positions at Apple.

Mr. Hobbs holds a BA in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA, and is a dual citizen of the United States and Great Britain. When not at work, you will likely find him road and mountain biking throughout Northern California.

Preston Hoopes is an Operations Manager for the Swinerton’s Bay Area Special Projects team, with an emphasis on Silicon Valley. Preston has oversight into many different projects and teams working on interiors, tenant improvements, adaptive reuse, seismic upgrades, campus projects, and more. In past roles, Preston has worked as both a General Contractor and Developer on many high density Multi-Family projects across California, Washington, and Colorado.

Kevin is a Principal at global design firm Gensler, and Managing Director of the San Jose office. He has been instrumental in growing Gensler’s presence in Silicon Valley and has worked with some of the largest technology companies in the world including, Adobe, HP, Cisco, Intel, NetApp, Dell, IBM, eBay, and Google. Throughout his tenure at Gensler, Kevin has focused on using his experience and the profession of architecture as a catalyst for building communities. Specifically, he has supported pro-bono projects that focus on enhancing downtown San Jose in partnership with the City of San Jose, the San Jose Downtown Association, and the Knight Foundation. Kevin holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a registered architect in California and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accredited.

Roy is the Bay Area Business Leader for Pivot Interiors, a Certified Herman Miller dealer. Gary Dillabough is the co-founder & CEO of Urban Community, a real estate development company with a strong focus on Downtown San Jose. Gary has spent two decades bringing people together and challenging the status quo at the intersection of real estate, technology and sustainability. With a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo, Dillabough gained an expertise in smart, energy-efficient buildings while serving as managing partner at venture capital firms Navitas Capital and The Westly Group. Previously, Dillabough spent nearly a decade at eBay as Vice President of Sustainability. He has also served on numerous boards of directors including the Lucile Packard Hospital Foundation, One Million Lights and View Glass.

Prior to joining Westlake, Ms. Smith served as Vice President, Property Management for Westcore Properties, a commercial real estate investment company, where she was responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, and portfolio operations. Before that, she spent 14 years at the RMR Group, (Nasdaq: RMR), an alternative asset management company primarily focused on real estate related businesses. Smith held a variety of positions at RMR, starting out as a property manager and eventually serving as Area Director with responsibility for oversight of real estate leasing and day-to-day portfolio operations for RMR’s Western Region. Ms. Smith holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Franklin Pierce University.

A third generation builder, Cody is head of our Build Group Silicon Valley operation. His strong leadership is positioning this division to be the fastest and most robust enterprise of our company for 2018. Cody’s success at bringing in diverse and exciting new projects, as well as his management, mentoring, and technical skills at San Jose Construction, were quickly recognized and affirmed at Build Group where he is respected by peers, the subcontracting community, and the industry at large.

Erik Hallgrimson joined Cushman & Wakefield (formerly CPS, Cassidy Turley & DTZ) in 1999 and served as Senior

Vice President, Principal until 2011 when he became a Partner. Currently, Erik serves as Vice Chairman specializing

in Office, R&D, Mixed-Use and Land and Investment Sales. Erik is a 3-time ASVB award winner and in 2016 was

named ‘Dealmaker of the Year’ by the San Jose Business Journal. In his career he has leased over 8 million sf and

sold over 6 million sf of product in Silicon Valley. He also serves on the national boards of the Agency Leasing and

Land Practice Groups of Cushman and Wakefield.

In his spare time he is a board member for Goodwill of Silicon Valley, First Tee of Monterey County and the San

Jose Sports Authority.
