Nathan Donato-Weinstein is a senior executive analyst in the City of San Jose’s Office of Economic Development, which leads the city’s economic strategy, recruits employers, provides workforce development services, manages city real estate, and supports the arts. Nathan primarily works on business recruitment and retention, while using economic and real estate data to better inform policies and decision-making. Before joining the City, he was a reporter covering commercial real estate for the Silicon Valley Business Journal. Nathan is also on the board of Commercial Real Estate Women, Silicon Valley.

Responsible for developing more than $3.5 billion in real estate projects, including over 2,300 residential units in the California Bay Area, Hayden has experience in acquisition, contract negotiation, due diligence, risk assessment, financing, construction, and disposition of multifamily, single family and large mixed-use and master planned developments. He maintains relationships with a broad network of property owners, enabling him to identify and acquire prime investments. Hayden also has expertise navigating projects through the entitlement process by working with elected officials, community groups, and political organizations to gain support and get projects approved.

As Director of Real Estate Development, Dixie compiles and presents comprehensive deal analysis packages, and underwrites and assesses risk associated with acquisition opportunities for Eden’s Executive Team and selected review committees. Additionally, she participates in high level project structuring and strategic planning, including business plan development and implementation strategies for the Real Estate Development Department. Projects may include new construction, acquisition and rehabilitation, portfolio syndication and joint ventures with other developers.

Dixie joined Eden Housing in 2018, bringing nearly 30 years of real estate industry experience in affordable and market-rate multifamily management, development, compliance, asset management and financing. She has participated in the development process of more than sixty transactions across the states of California, Hawaii, Arizona, Missouri, Texas, Illinois and Florida totaling approximately $2B in total development costs.

Dixie Baus has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and numerous professional affiliations including SV@Home and their Coalition of Housers (COHO) Working Group, the Sacramento Housing Alliance Affordable Housing Committee, and East Bay Housing Organizations (EBHO) Oakland committee member. Previously she was an Affordable Housing Representative for both the City of Gilroy General Plan Advisory Committee and the City of Santa Clara General Plan Steering Committee.

As President of McLarney Construction, Inc. Brett plays an integral

role in overseeing all company operations. This includes project

execution, client satisfaction, quality assurance and long-term

planning. Having been with the company since 1997, his broad

construction background allows him to easily assist clients with

their project requirements. Brett analyzes the client’s current

construction needs; then establishes and often expands upon a project design that adapts to future business growth. He provides solution and strategy to produce successful project completions on time and within budget.

Tuija Catalano is a Partner at Reuben, Junius and Rose. She specializes in land use law, and works with developers and property owners on all types of projects, from alteration of single family homes to entitlement of complex development projects including multi-family residential, office, hotel, retail, mixed-use and other projects. Ms. Catalano's practice involves all stages of land use development, including due diligence, entitlements, development agreements, historic preservation, permitting strategy, environmental compliance, and resolution of enforcement cases. She represents clients frequently at various public hearings, including at the Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors, Historic Preservation Commission and Board of Appeals. She is also experienced in California Environmental Quality Act practice and compliance, and entitlement of residential projects with the use of State Density Bonus Program. Ms. Catalano is a former Mayor, Councilmember and Planning Commissioner for City of Clayton.

Gary Dillabough is the co-founder & CEO of Urban Community, a real estate development company with a strong focus on Downtown San Jose. Gary has spent two decades bringing people together and challenging the status quo at the intersection of real estate, technology and sustainability. With a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo, Dillabough gained an expertise in smart, energy-efficient buildings while serving as managing partner at venture capital firms Navitas Capital and The Westly Group. Previously, Dillabough spent nearly a decade at eBay as Vice President of Sustainability. He has also served on numerous boards of directors including the Lucile Packard Hospital Foundation, One Million Lights and View Glass.

As the capital of Silicon Valley, we represent the beauty, vibrance, and fuel that drives local businesses, iconic multicultural restaurants, and highly sought-after cultural events. I am dedicated to making sure we maintain and grow our Downtown and ensure that our community can recover from the difficulties that COVID-19 brought to our community. Our family restaurants, businesses, and community leaders are the driving force that has empowered me to run for City Council. With over 20 years as a top hospitality executive, Ostergard began his journey in the culinary industry as Executive Chef at Gaylord’s in Kauai, Hawaii. He subsequently relocated to Wilmington, Delaware to run Executive Catering for MBNA.

While in Delaware, he co-owned and managed The Vault and Restaurant 821, receiving multiple accolades from Philadelphia Magazine, Zagat, and “3 Bells” from food critic Craig Leban. Later, Ostergard joined the Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group in San Francisco. As Director of Operations, he oversaw nine restaurant properties for the company, as well as multiple re-concepts and openings.

Prior to joining the Vine Hospitality family, Ostergard was President of Au Bon Repas - Cafe Claude, Gitane, and Gaspar.

Camille Llanes-Fontanilla is the Vice President of Silicon Valley Programs, responsible for the overarching vision and strategy for local giving across the Silicon Valley region. By developing trusted relationships with local nonprofits and uniting key stakeholders toward collective, community-centered action, the team will expand economic mobility for low-income individuals in the region.

Previously, Camille served as the Executive Director of SOMOS Mayfair, working alongside community members to spur resident-led solutions in education, economic justice, and community development. During her tenure, Camille led sizable organizational growth; built deep community partnerships; and brought over $30M of investments into east San Jose. Camille continues to serve on the Board of Trustees for The Health Trust and SPUR San Jose and is a founding member of the Si Se Puede Collective.

Camille was born and raised in east San Jose and continues to raise two young children there with her husband, Ryan. She has a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Ethnic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and a master’s degree in Public Administration from San Jose State University.

I have deep experience in residential, retail, commercial, and mixed-use real estate development in urban places with an emphasis on transit adjacency. I shepherd projects and teams from property acquisition through grand opening. I advise private owners and corporations on planning, project design, transportation demand management and real property development - plus I advise public agencies and municipalities on growth strategies and partnering with private partners. I have decades of experience hiring and managing teams of all sizes and am fostering excellent relationships with local and regional government officials. I'm an experienced board member and volunteer, with outstanding community relations skills and political acumen. My specialty is figuring out how to optimize a path toward the best possible sense of place and well-being in a community - and doing it on time and on budget.

Corie A. Edwards is a real estate attorney and Partner at Reuben, Junius & Rose, LLP, one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s preeminent land use firms. Ms. Edwards’ practice supports the firm’s real estate development and land use clients, in all sectors of the real estate market. She has been honored to contribute to some of the most transformative projects in San Francisco Bay Area, as well as to smaller-scale developments by some of the Bay Area's most prolific and well-regarded real estate developers. Ms. Edwards’ practice spans the greater Bay Area: from wine country to Silicon Valley, to jurisdictions in the East Bay, North Bay, South Bay, and into the Sacramento Valley. Matt Mahan is the 66th Mayor of San José. He was raised in Watsonville, California by working parents, a school teacher and a letter carrier, who taught Matt and his sisters to value hard work, the importance of education, and the power of community. His love for San José was ignited early on when he decided to make the long, often four-hour-a-day commute by bus to San José to attend Bellarmine College Prep.

Matt went on to attend Harvard University, where he served as student body president and graduated magna cum laude before joining the Teach for America program, where he taught English and History at George Joseph Middle School in Alum Rock, San Jose. Matt went on to the business world, where he founded and served as CEO of two civic tech companies dedicated to empowering neighborhoods and holding government accountable.

These core tenets have remained key to his policy priorities – both during his time as District 10 Councilmember and now as San Jose Mayor. Matt decided to run for San José’s top office in 2022 because he knew local government needed significant reform to get back to basics and deliver results on homelessness, public safety and housing affordability. Since taking office, Matt has led the city to build more housing, expand solutions to homelessness that have reduced the number of people living on our streets, and brought crime rates down to historic lows. His efforts to bring AI tools and performance management practices into City Hall have yielded a more efficient and accountable government.

Mayor Matt Mahan, his wife Silvia, and their two young children live in the Almaden neighborhood.
