Gregg Nelson is a Managing Member of Trumark Companies and related entities, a position he’s held since he founded the firm in 1988. His career spans more than 35 years in the construction, development and real estate investment arenas. Together with Co-founder Michael Maples, his leadership and passion have led to the creation and growth of a multifaceted, enduring real estate enterprise. Mr. Nelson is known for his creativity, financial engineering and deal structure prowess.

Mr. Nelson graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and completed an MBA program at Santa Clara University.

Hans is Senior Vice President – Development with Pacific Eagle and its US Real Estate Fund. He oversees developments from acquisitions to completion. His most recent portfolio of acquisitions and developments include 1545 Pine Street, 555 Howard Street, and 1125 Market Street in San Francisco as well as a condo conversion in Malibu and 8701 Park by Renzo Piano in Miami. For the Pacific Eagle (US) Real Estate Fund, Hans is also involved in all fund-raising efforts with institutional capital providers in China. Pacific Eagle’s parent owns Langham Hotels and Resorts including its three brands, Langham, Eaton and Cordis.

Before joining Pacific Eagle, Hans spent 9 years with Jones Lang LaSalle last leading the Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels practice in Beijing. He advised international investment banks and private equity buy-out firms on non-performing loan and real asset portfolio acquisitions; he later followed the rise of Chinese capital in China’s domestic markets restructuring national state-owned enterprises in propco-opco deals and working with developers on urban highest-and-best-use assessments. Hans covered more than 400 projects worth US$12 billion and located in 60 markets across China. His development experience encompasses more than 70 million sf of urban mixed-use, hospitality and residential projects, including 2,200 for-sale units as well as 2,500 rental apartment units.

As a principal in KTGY’s Oakland office, Jessica Musick is committed to high-quality innovative design. She joined KTGY in 2003 and has since developed a diverse portfolio. She plays an integral role in establishing the design vision and leading teams to carry projects through design approvals. Focusing on urban-infill mixed-use projects, she believes that architecture should be deeply rooted in the community where it sits, responsibly responding to client goals, community needs and the urban context.

Alexander Kolovyansky is the Director of Investment sales at Vanguard Properties and one of San Francisco’s top brokers. Alexander has been investing and brokering real estate for over 19 years and has been recognized as one of “The Leading 100” by Real Trends. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Alexander, earned his degree in Economics from Princeton University where he was a two time Track & Field All-American. He worked at a fast paced hedge fund and as a marketing manager/negotiator at Intel Corporation working with senior executives brings a unique insight to the real estate industry. He has a California Real Estate Broker’s License, is a member of The Urban Land Institute, the San Francisco Planning & Urban Research Association (SPUR), Belden Club, the San Francisco Association of Realtors, and an MBA from the University of Arizona.

Patrick Kennedy is the owner of Panoramic Interests, a development firm that has been building housing, live-work space, and commercial property in the Bay Area since 1990. The firm has focused on dense, mixed-use, mixed-income, infill developments, typically financed with private funds. All of the multi-family housing projects include below market rate units. The firm’s projects incorporate the Smart Growth principles designed to discourage auto use, mitigate sprawl, encourage local business, and enhance the pedestrian streetscape. Mr. Kennedy grew up in the East Bay, and attended Claremont McKenna College, majoring in Economics and English. He is a former member of the Carpenters Union and Steelworkers Union, and the California Bar. After college, he worked as a contractor, and then attended Harvard Law School and MIT, graduating with a J.D. and a Masters in Real Estate Development. Early development work included building his own house, and renovating several small commercial properties. His hobbies include open water swimming and ultra-light backpacking, both of which have furnished surprising insights into his work in development.

Lou Vasquez is a Founding Partner and Managing Director of BUILD, where he oversees the firm’s business strategy and executive management.

Over the course of his 30-year career in real estate development, Lou has participated in the acquisition, entitlement, development, construction and management of more than $1 billion of residential and commercial product. Prior to forming BUILD in 2004, Lou worked in senior management at a number of prominent residential and commercial real estate development companies in the Bay Area, including Trammell Crow, Greenbriar Homes, Bay Communities, Oxford Development, and Archstone Communities.

Through his volunteer work as a board member of Habitat for Humanity and as a founding board member of the Mission Preparatory School, Mr. Vasquez is committed to ensuring that San Francisco remains a diverse city providing opportunities for its most vulnerable citizens.

Mr. MacDonald is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), SPUR, and the San Francisco Housing Action Coalition (SFHAC), and he has been a featured speaker at numerous local and regional real estate industry events, including the San Francisco ULI Residential Local Product Council, the Fisher Center Annual Real Estate & Economics Symposium, the Marcus & Millichap Multifamily Forum and the Bisnow Residential Summit.

Mr. MacDonald received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering with Distinction from Stanford University in 1993 and a Master of Science in Management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2007. Mr. MacDonald is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi honor societies.

Hassan Ally brings over 20 years of experience in design, management and delivery of projects in the construction industry. He is adept at generating value for clients through technical and commercial skills, contract negotiation and risk management. As the leader of Thornton Tomasetti’s San Francisco office, he is focused on generating value for clients by leveraging strong technical expertise and a client focused team. He leads a team of experts whose technical skills span a wide spectrum of industry, including Real Estate (Commercial, Residential, Hospitality), Higher Education, Technology (Campus, TI, and Data Centers), Biotech, Aviation, Transportation, Government (DGS, GSA, Federal and County), Civic, Social, Cultural, Sports, Convention Centers, and Healthcare.

Peter Read joined Lendlease in the UK in 1988 as Assistant Project Manager. Now Director of Operations, he is responsible for overseeing all of Lendlease’s projects in Northern California. He has spent the last 20 years in the Bay Area and has led some of the largest construction projects in Northern California, including well-known Bay Area projects such as Santana Row, the luxury lifestyle development in San Jose, and One Rincon Hill and Lumina, two of the most significant residential towers to flank the downtown San Francisco skyline. He received a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Civil Engineering from Aston University in Birmingham, England, and speaks a bit of Russian.

Peter and his wife Debbie moved to the Bay Area in 1996 and currently reside in Walnut Creek, CA. Peter enjoys taking nightly walks with his dogs Gracie and Bentley, spending weekends with the family at their cabin in the Sierra Nevada’s, mountain biking and the occasional opportunity to hang-out with his two busy teenage kids.

Jaja has over 12 years of experience in multifamily real estate development and property management, most recently as the President of Emerald Property Management, a division of Emerald Fund, Inc. Throughout his career, Jaja has managed thousands of luxury apartment and condominium units in the San Francisco Bay Area. Equally important is Jaja’s background in technology: He co-founded Mascot Network, a $23 million dollar “Facebook for Colleges” after graduating from Harvard Business School in 1999, and was named one of the 25 most influential African Americans in technology in 2001 by Black Enterprise Magazine. Jaja’s depth of experience in asset management and internet technology lead him to Airbnb in 2015, where he now leads Airbnb’s global landlord partnership strategy. Jaja holds a BA in Government from Harvard College, and a MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ken Lowney is the Founder and President of Lowney Architecture, a multidisciplinary practice offering architectural, interior, and master planning services. With locations in Oakland and Honolulu, the firm focuses its practice on residential, mixed-use, hospitality and retail projects. In his hometown of Oakland, Ken leads discussions about community development, affordable housing and off-site construction design methods while serving in leadership roles for the Modular Building Institute, SPUR, the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, and the Oakland Land Use Committee. Lowney Architecture first made its mark with expertise in urban retail, specifically grocery store design. The firm is now also synonymous with the design and delivery of innovative, prefabricated projects, having designed over 6,000 modular units.
