He also has extensive experience in debt, equity, and joint venture workouts, and the purchase of distressed assets and distressed debt. Tony is continually sought out by some of the largest national land owners, such as J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Blackstone Real Estate, Brookfield Properties, HCP, Vornado Realty Trust, Regent Properties, The Irvine Company, Boston Properties, Equity Office Properties, Kilroy Realty, Inc., Beacon Capital Partners, MPG Office Trust, Kamehameha Schools (The Bishop Estate) and Westfield Corporation. A frequent lecturer and author, Tony is the chief consultant for the California Continuing Education of the Bar Commercial Leasing Series, the legal education reference book on leasing for California attorneys, is an adjunct professor of law at Loyola Law School for a course covering commercial real estate transactions, and has spoken before such national real estate groups as ULI and BOMA. Tony is a founding board member of The Ziman Real Estate Center, which is governed under the joint auspices of the UCLA Anderson School of Business and the UCLA Law School.

In the past decade, Tony has closed commercial office leases exceeding 50 million square feet. He has worked on real estate purchase contracts with a total consideration of more than $30 billion and on development transactions with a total consideration in excess of $25 billion. Since 2006, Tony has represented clients in office building portfolio investment sales transactions involving over $75 billion of consideration.

One of Tony's most significant transactions is the largest real estate acquisition deal in the history of the United States. He provided extensive real estate services in connection with Blackstone Real Estate's purchase of Equity Office Properties Trust, at that point the largest owner of office space in the U.S. other than the Federal Government, for $43 billion. Subsequently, Blackstone contracted to sell over 50% of the properties it purchased with such sales closing in the first and second quarter of 2007. Tony assisted Blackstone in its acquisition due diligence related to EOP and the subsequent sales of the properties. The transactions related to this deal included Maguire Properties' purchase of Blackstone/EOP in Orange County for $2 billion, Irvine Company's purchase of Blackstone/EOP in San Diego for $1 billion, Morgan Stanley's purchase of Blackstone/EOP in San Francisco for $2.5 billion, and Beacon Capital Partners’ purchase of Blackstone/EOP Seattle for $6.3 billion.

Manuel Fishman focuses his practice on representing real estate developers and owners in the acquisition, sale, and financing of commercial properties. In addition, he has an active leasing practice representing owners of several major office buildings in San Francisco, including the Transamerica Pyramid, as well as tenants in lease and sublease transactions. His expertise includes letters of intent, tenant improvement work agreements, security deposits/letters of credit, signage rights, expansion and contraction rights, permitted transfers, operating expense audits, and lender and master landlord recognition agreements. Mr. Fishman maintains close relationships with the real estate brokerage community and utilizes these relationships to provide clients with market based information important to their existing and prospective real estate requirements. Mr. Fishman also has extensive experience in the area of ground leasing and retail leasing and is recognized as a leading attorney in the area of landline and wireless communications and Internet-based services in commercial properties and rooftop installations.

In addition, Mr. Fishman acts as outside general counsel to start-ups that seek to leverage some part of commercial real estate into a tech application, and helps guide these companies in their efficient use of legal time and expertise in various subject matters, from employment and IP to enterprise contracts and web site privacy policies.

Mr. Fishman also represents clients in equity structuring for, and the acquisition of, value add properties, including the formation of single purpose entities and joint ventures, and acquisition financing. Mr. Fishman has negotiated numerous construction management, project development and property management agreements relative to ground up development projects, as well as all types of easements and other adjoining owner agreements.

Mr. Fishman serves as chair of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of San Francisco’s Government Affairs and Policy Advisory Committee (GAPAC). He served on BOMA San Francisco’s Board of Directors from 2003–2006, and was the recipient of the 2006 Associate Member of the Year from BOMA San Francisco. He is the past representative of BOMA San Francisco to the California BOMA Board. Mr. Fishman is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Real Property Sections of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of California.

Most recently, Mr. Fishman has been recognized as a 2017 Best Lawyer in America in Real Estate Law, an honor he has received since 2007, and was recognized as a 2014 Top Rated Lawyer by American Lawyer Media in conjunction with Martindale Hubbell. He has also been recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer from 2012-2016 and as one of Bay Area Magazine’s Top Lawyers in the Bay Area.

Andrew Chappell is Lendlease’s Head of Development as part of

Lendlease’s Google Real Estate Development venture; a 15 year, US

$15bn (AUD $20bn) joint undertaking of master planning, entitlement and

development of Google's Bay Area landholdings in San Jose, Sunnyvale

and Mountain View, California. Lendlease estimates it will develop up to

15 million square feet of residential, retail, hospitality and associated

community uses within these four new neighborhoods. He oversees all

work within the venture’s Mountain View and Sunnyvale projects.

Mr. Chappell has more than 20 years of experience working with large

multinational construction and property development businesses in

Australia, Europe and the Americas.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Chappell led the Lendlease bid to secure the

Google real estate development venture, the largest bid win and

transaction in the company’s 60+ year history.

During his Lendlease tenure, Mr. Chappell has played an integral role in

growing the business across the globe. In 2012, he was a key senior

member of the winning Sydney International Convention, Exhibition and

Entertainment Precinct (Darling Harbor Live). He developed the concept

design for more than 2,500 new dwellings at the RNA Showgrounds

project in Brisbane and assisted with the launch of the first residential

stage of the master plan, The Green.

Prior to joining Lendlease, Mr. Chappell worked for Explore Investments in

the United Kingdom, and Laing O’Rourke in the United Kingdom, Ireland

and Spain.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney and is

currently a non-executive director for AusFunds, an Australian funds

management and advisory firm.

Christophe Farber is a Director of Asset Management at Jamestown, leading the West Coast region. Prior to joining Jamestown, he was Vice President of The Yellin Company in downtown Los Angeles, and acted as Asset Manager for Grand Central Square and its iconic food hall, Grand Central Market. Previous to and simultaneous with his position at The Yellin Company, Mr. Farber operated MFI Consulting, with an emphasis on value-add food and beverage experiences. His clients included Jamestown, L.P., Brookfield Properties, Consolidated Investment Group of Denver, Expedia, and Langdon Street Capital. Mr. Farber began his real estate career as a Project Manager for Bettershelter, a boutique design and residential redevelopment company focused on Northeast Los Angeles. Kyle was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, graduating from Saint Mary's College of California in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in Economics. He joined Jamestown in January 2019 as an asset management analyst out of the Ponce City Market office, and in July 2021 relocated to Jamestown's San Francisco office at Waterfront Plaza where he works as a senior associate with the asset management team. Prior to Jamestown, he had a two-year stint in Boston with The TJX Companies, and before that worked as a real estate broker with Transwestern in the San Francisco Bay Area. Kyle currently lives in Concord, CA with his wife (Rachel), son (Henry), and two dogs (Huck and Finn), and enjoys all the outdoor activities the Bay Area has to offer.
