Andrew Selesnick is a Shareholder in Buchalter’s Los Angeles office, and is a member of the Firm’s

Litigation and Health Care Practice Groups. With more than 20 years of experience as a health care and

commercial litigator, Mr. Selesnick represents health care providers in numerous areas of litigation, such as

seeking reimbursement from insurance companies or defending government investigations. He also advises

management on how to successfully navigate a complex regulatory environment to take advantage of

business opportunities while minimizing risk. Mr. Selesnick has taken approximately 15 jury trials (to

verdict), multiple bench trials, and more than 75 arbitrations.

John Pollock

JJohn Pollock is Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director at Meridian. Mr. Pollock is responsible for

the capital markets, financing, and operational functions of Meridian. He works with his executive

leadership team on the company’s strategy and operations. Before his most recent role, Mr. Pollock

served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

With more than 30 years of knowledge shaped by a wide range of experiences in commercial and

residential real estate development, Mr. Pollock has proven his ability to lead, manage and develop

highly effective cross functional teams. Prior to joining Meridian in 2006, Mr. Pollock served as General

Manager for national home builder Centex Homes where he was responsible for all land development,

construction and sales in Santa Fe, New Mexico. From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Pollock served as Vice

President of Bovis Lend Lease, a leading international project management and construction company

operating in more than thirty countries. At Bovis, Mr. Pollock’s responsibilities included managing

finance, project controls and risk management and he was involved in a wide range of transactions in

size, scope, and geography.

Notable developments Mr. Pollock has been involved in include, Santana Row in San Jose, CA, Four

Seasons Hotel in San Francisco, CA, Lincoln Square in Bellevue, WA and the Privatization of Fort Hood

Family Housing in Killeen, TX.

John is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and sits on the ULI Health Care and Life Science Council.

He also serves on the HREI Editorial Advisory Board and is a Certified Public Accountant. John Received a

Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from St. Mary’s College.

Jeff Land serves as System Senior Vice President of National Real Estate Services at CommonSpirit Health. Mr. Land is responsible for providing leadership in all areas of real estate strategy and transactions, joint ventures, energy and infrastructure, master planning, advisory services, and capital construction for CommonSpirit Health’s diverse healthcare portfolio.

Over the past 35 years, Mr. Land has led real estate, facility operations, portfolio oversite, and advisory practices for major firms such as EY Kenneth Leventhal, Bechtel Investments, and Dignity Health throughout the United States, Mexico, and, most recently, China. Mr. Land has been responsible for the successful operation of real estate portfolios including Bramalea Pacific, Transamerica, First Winthrop Corporation and Southern Pacific Development Company.

Mr. Land has served as a Board of Governor for the Academy for Healthcare Infrastructure, President of the Building Owners and Managers Association/Oakland, and on the School of Business Advisory Council, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California. He is a Life Trustee, Board of Trustees for the Building Owner’s and Manager’s Institute.

Mr. Land holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo as well as various designations from multiple industry associations.

Jake brings a passion for addressing healthcare real estate holistically as part of the entire healthcare delivery continuum. His dedication to understanding the new world of healthcare consumerism makes PMB an integral part of our clients’ healthcare strategies and solutions.

Jake has been with the firm since 2005 and focuses on the overall vision and strategy of the company including financial, operational, growth, team and delivery partnerships. Jake is responsible for sourcing, structuring and leading development opportunities including deal structuring, entitling, financing, and managing ground-up development projects from inception to occupancy.

Jake is a LEED® Accredited Professional and has a California real estate broker’s license. He is on the ULI Health Care and Life Sciences Council, an advisory board member of Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Environmental Design and holds active memberships in the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Cornell Real Estate Council and the U.S. Green Building Council.

Jake received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 2003, a Certificate in Real Estate Finance, Investments and Development and a Certificate in Healthcare Transformation from the University of California Irvine. Jake lives in Encinitas, CA with his wife and three kids

Pete Caputo

Pete Caputo is Vice President of Operations at Truebeck Construction, a full-service commercial general contractor focused on technical building, complex projects and interiors in the Western US. With over 25 years of experience in construction, Pete has served on both the builder and owner sides in the healthcare and commercial office markets. Pete led a statewide development group of projects, which included over $4 billion in total project portfolio. His clients include national healthcare providers such as Kaiser, Sutter Health, and UCSF. Some of the notable healthcare facilities include Sutter Health’s Van Ness and Geary Campus and the CPMC Mission Bernal Campus, and the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital at Mission Bay.
