Kristina serves as the President of Westlake Realty, Westlake Urban, and Westlake International. Westlake Realty Group is a full-service, family-owned real estate investment and development firm with extensive experience in all asset classes of real estate in the San Francisco Bay Area and Western United States. The Company’s current holdings include a diverse portfolio of office, multi-family, hotel, retail, and mixed-use properties primarily located in the San Francisco Bay Area. She brings to Westlake a depth of experience in all aspects of the real estate business including portfolio management, acquisitions, and property management.

Kristina holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and received her bachelor’s degree in history from Harvard College. Kristina is a member of YPO San Diego.

Guerdon is the leading manufacturer of large-scale, commercial modular construction projects in the Western US and Canada. Prior to joining Guerdon in 2018, John was the Senior Operations Executive of Comark Building Systems; a multi-factory builder of commercial modular buildings. He was also Senior Executive of Norcom Industries a Canadian multi-factory builder of modular single-family homes and recreational vehicles. As a licensed General Contractor in multiple states, John has been involved in the design-build of numerous large-scale modular projects throughout the USA and Canada. Over the past 35 years, his work has included: military complexes, multi-family, hospitality, commercial and single-family projects. John is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).

Christopher Schmidt has been working in the construction industry since the early 1990’s when he started his career as an architect with Harley Ellis Devereaux. His experience with modular construction began in 2011 at NORR, where he successfully grew the new modular construction

division. He served as regional business development manager at Guerdon Modular Buildings in Northern California. As Senior Project Executive for Z Modular, Chris plays a key role in his ability to deliver and manage innovative, responsive, value-driven, and client-centric programs

in the development and modular industry.

Schmidt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from Lawrence Technological

University.

Prior to starting Rise Modular, Christian was the founding partner of Lake Harriet Development, a real estate development and investment company, where he discovered the advantages of off-site and volumetric modular construction methods. He previously served as the Vice President of Lake Harriet Capital, a Minneapolis-based family office, where he sourced and led the analysis, diligence, and execution of private investments. Prior to Lake Harriet, Christian worked at Audax Private Equity, Piper Jaffray Healthcare Investment Banking, and Medtronic Corporate Development. Christian received a BA in Economics from Yale University.

As a managing partner of Relevant Group, Richard Heyman leads development and construction with over 30 years of experience building high end, high-concept hospitality projects including restaurants, nightclubs and entertainment venues. Having started his career as a hospitality developer and general contractor, he understands the formula of a successful project.

Michael Van Every is the President and Managing Partner of Republic Urban Properties, the Bay Area flagship of the Republic Family of Companies. Mr. Van Every works with Federal, State, and Local governments on the creation and development of ‘smart growth’ projects, such as master-planned communities near transportation hubs; urban mixed-use projects near major employment centers; and innovative, public-private partnerships. The Republic Family of Companies is known for developing institutional-quality real estate throughout the United States, from land development, to historic adaptive reuse, to shopping malls.

In his 25 years of working experience representing major institutional and private real estate developers in the greater Bay Area, Van Every has earned the reputation as a man with the leadership, the knowledge, the experience, and tenacity to see complicated projects through from land acquisition to completion. Under Van Every’s leadership, RUP has gained national attention for its Transit Oriented Development (TOD) projects at key transit stations working as the premier public-private partner with many transit authorities across California.

Since 2006, as the managing partner of RUP, Van Every has been involved with the planning, financing, construction, and delivery of 1,238 multifamily units and 145,000 square feet of mixed-use commercial space. In addition to the multifamily pipeline, RUP has approximately 380 hotels rooms, 151,000 square feet of office, and 120,000 square feet of retail in various stages of development. The estimated market value among projects is projected at $1.5 billion in value.

A third-generation San Jose native, Van Every holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from California State University at Fresno. Van Every is an active member of San Jose Rotary Club as well as the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. He also serves as a Board Member on Santa Clara County Catholic Charities. Michael is married and lives with his wife Jennifer and Jacob in the Willow Glen Neighborhood of San Jose.

Having been educated as architect and engineer, Greg Otto has been focused strategically upon collaborative working within the “gap” between architecture and engineering and the potential for innovation that such working brings. Not afraid to pioneer, he has been responsible for a broad range of innovations within the work of the firms he has worked, improving design and engineering workflows via digitization; creating and supporting the necessary collaborative environment to advance and expand multi-disciplinary thinking; and challenging traditional practice with new and innovative delivery models. He brings a wealth of specialist knowledge in highly sustainable, low energy buildings, structural engineering and building facades and has a proven track record working with some of the most renowned artists, designers and architects to deliver truly remarkable projects. He joined Clark Pacific in 2020 to provide leadership in an ongoing effort to develop a suite of prefabricated building solutions, and grow, advance Clark Pacific to a total building solutions provider.

As a practicing architect and Managing Director of Design and Process for Prescient Co, Jared Rooker provides design, land planning, technical and financial oversight of projects, delivering full-service building solutions to developers and general contractors nationwide. He has more than 15 years of experience in designing or managing complex multi-family, mixed-use, hotel, and corporate projects from site planning through design and construction. His strong focus on sustainability and efficiency of output, coupled with a mind for technology and innovation brought him to Prescient in 2017.

Tony Mirenda is a successful Bay Area construction veteran who has been associated with many of

Silicon Valley’s most visible projects. For the last 43 years, he has been instrumental in bringing to life

projects that range from educational facilities and award-winning historical restorations to high-end

tenant improvements and mixed-use/transportation-oriented developments. Tony’s attention to detail,

commitment to his clients and strong ties to local labor unions are just a few of the many characteristics

that set him apart as an experienced, professional construction executive.

In his current role as Development Executive at Blach Construction, Tony assists clients with executing

bond campaigns, negotiating project labor agreements, developing implementation plans, assessing

district needs, coordinating city and county jurisdiction entitlements, and establishing project and

program phasing plans. Before joining Blach in 2012, Tony spent 25 years at TBI Construction &

Construction Management, Inc., serving as CEO during his final nine years and when the firm was

honored as 2009 Contractor of the Year by the San Jose Business Journal. Prior to that, he held various

project management and executive positions at Toeniskoetter & Breeding Inc., K.D.C., Ltd. and Carl N.

Swenson Co., Inc.

A native of Silicon Valley, Tony is actively involved with several professional and community

organizations. He serves as Co-Chair of the Santa Clara County Construction Careers Association

(S4CA), an organization he co-founded in 2005 to promote careers in construction to local youth and

sits on a Career Pathway Advisory Board for Eastside Union High School District. He is a member of the

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and a past member of the Earthquake Engineering Research

Institute (EERI). In addition to his board chair position on the Executive Committee of the San Jose

Chamber of Commerce, he co-chairs its Housing & Land Use Policy Committee. Tony also sits on the

board at the JW House in Santa Clara and is a longtime member of the Endowment Fundraising

Committee at his alma mater, St. Francis High School in Mountain View. Furthermore, he is a Knight in the

Order of Malta, Western Association, San Jose Location, and serving as the Location’s Hospitaller and

also the Western U.S. Region Program Director for Growing The Faith within selected Diocesan schools.

Tony is often recognized for his philanthropic efforts. Most recently, he was the recipient of the 2019 St.

Andre of Montreal Service Award by his St. Francis High School and the 2018 Boys Scouts of America

Character Award.

Licensed in the State of California as a General Contractor, Tony holds a Retired Professional Engineer’s

License as well. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University.

Thor Hoskins joined the Sares Regis Group of Northern California (SRGNC) Development Team in 2017. Thor brings with him over a decade of project management experience ranging from development, design, and preconstruction to project closeout and everything in between. Hoskins is akey member of the award-winning development team for a public-private partnership between a non-profit foundation and the City of Mountain View that delivered 124 homeless beds in response to COVID-19. As a part of this team, he managed relationships with the modular vendors to ensure that the project was delivered within six months of the start of construction to satisfy government funding requirements from the CARES Act. Hoskins holds a B.A. in Architecture with a minor in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Amanda has worked in the development and construction of primarily affordable housing for

more than 15 years. She has overseen the new construction and rehabilitation of more than

1,200 multifamily units and more than 100,000 square feet of commercial space in California

and Arizona. Amanda has led business development for modular project management and

general contractors, and owners’ representation and construction management for affordable

housing development. She specializes in groundbreaking, sustainable projects that have a

compassionate component.

At CRATE, Amanda’s industry knowledge and ability to attract and manage deal flow are

optimized. In her current role, she focuses on client development, pipeline management, and

the orchestration of complex construction needs and demands.

Brad Lancaster, CPC, is a Senior Project Manager at Vertex's San Diego office, where he is primarily responsible for owner representation in all stages of the Construction life cycle within Southern California. Brad holds over 25 years of experience in the construction and real estate industry, and has managed a wide variety of development, logistical, and capital expenditure programs in retail, healthcare, food service, sports facility, education, aviation, and office sectors.

Doug is a modular industry veteran bringing many years of experience in modular built multifamily

and hospitality projects; including, executive experience at Guerdon Enterprises

An expert in operations, Doug offers extensive experience in strategic relationships. business

planning, leadership development and creative problem solving. Doug has in-depth experience

developing and implementing processes that contribute significantly to profitability.

Doug is taking Prefab Logic to the next level. He is responsible for designing and implementing

innovation that drives the modular industry forward while establishing a progressive culture.

Justin Stewart is the CEO and Owner of 8-time National Excellence in Construction Award winning Synergy, Inc, and industry disrupting Synergy Modular. Synergy has built over 10,000 units and countless commercial projects as a GC over the last three decades in the Pacific Northwest. In 2017, in response to a demand for predictability, Justin founded Synergy Modular, building projects at a fixed cost, in 30-50% less time.

Matt Larson serves as Director of Preconstruction at XL Construction and brings an in-depth understanding of modular and CLT solutions. He has been involved in mass timber projects ranging in size from 20,000 – 315,000 s.f. Recently, Matt led the development of TimberQuest™, a mass timber-based classroom solution that is cost and schedule efficient, prefabricated, DSA pre-checked, and provides a 21st-century learning environment within a high-quality, healthy, and sustainable facility.

Lisa is a passionate advocate for sustainable structures, serving as rotating Chair of the Structural Engineers Association of California’s Sustainable Design Committee since 2009 and co-authoring several papers on sustainable design and construction, including one of the first studies on the life cycle impacts of structural systems. Highly engaged in California’s AB2446 embodied carbon workshops, she continues to lead efforts that advance low-carbon building strategies. Building on her expertise in timber innovation and sustainability, she supports clients and project teams through feasibility planning, design management, cost planning, and pre-construction, guiding early decisions to deliver pioneering, environmentally responsible projects.

Ryan Ware is co-founder and vice president of construction for Vantis, one of the largest commercial interior construction firms in Northern California. He is an expert in off-site construction modes and methods, including prefab, volumetric, panelized and precast construction; “lean” design and construction; and alternative contract delivery methods that optimize skilled trades labor. Vantis specializes in off-site construction as part of its design-build service. Vantis integrates pre- construction planning, off-site fabrication and multi-trade subcontractors to deliver custom interior spaces that are flexible and optimized for peak performance on Day 2 and Day 222. Wil Byrick

Paige is an architect with almost two decades of experience in a wide range of project types, including 7 years in the multi-family residential sector. Having worked on residential projects in both urban and suburban settings for non-profit and for-profit developers, Paige has managed projects from Concept Design through Construction Administration. Her thorough understanding of the Building Code has helped develop cutting-edge prefabricated systems and today she assists clients in creating innovative project-delivery systems that meet code requirements. Paige’s experience with a multitude of regulatory agencies and project delivery methods has helped develop and permit 600 units within multi-family projects.

Paige has her Bachelor’s in Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Her passion is encouraging women and girls in the construction industry. For the past 15 years, she has volunteered with youth groups and in schools, giving workshops on Engineering and Architectural concepts.

Zac Miles is an Associate Principal in KTGY’s Oakland office where he focuses on high density multi-family projects on infill sites around the Bay Area. Mr. Miles also serves on the Quality Control committee, which establishes companywide QA/QC procedures. His primary focus is bringing a project from the design development phase through the completion of construction.

Pete Caputo is Vice President of Operations at Truebeck Construction, a full-service commercial general contractor focused on technical building, complex projects and interiors in the Western US. With over 25 years of experience in construction, Pete has served on both the builder and owner sides in the healthcare and commercial office markets. Pete led a statewide development group of projects, which included over $4 billion in total project portfolio. His clients include national healthcare providers such as Kaiser, Sutter Health, and UCSF. Some of the notable healthcare facilities include Sutter Health’s Van Ness and Geary Campus and the CPMC Mission Bernal Campus, and the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital at Mission Bay.
