JC is a founding principal of Oryx Partners. JC was previously Vice President of Acquisitions with SKS Partners, where his primary responsibilities included sourcing, structuring, and closing new real estate opportunities, including multiple deals totaling over 3 million square feet of existing or planned office, life science, medical office or mixed-use properties. JC was previously a relationship manager with Wells Fargo’s Real Estate Group, where he was responsible for origination, underwriting, due diligence and asset management for a $300 million portfolio of construction and short-term real estate loans. Earlier in his career, JC was an associate with Blumberg Capital, a private equity investment firm, and an analyst with Arthur D. Little’s management consulting group.

JC serves on the Board of SF Moderates, a moderate political advocacy organization in San Francisco and previously served as President of the Board of the Downtown Oakland Association from 2008-2013. He is a member of ULI and SPUR and President of the San Francisco chapter of LGREG. JC holds a BA degree in Economics from the U.C. Berkeley, and an MBA degree from U.C. Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. JC has lived in San Francisco since 1995.

Peter Read joined Lendlease in the UK in 1988 as Assistant Project Manager. Now Director of Operations, he is responsible for overseeing all of Lendlease’s projects in Northern California. He has spent the last 20 years in the Bay Area and has led some of the largest construction projects in Northern California, including well-known Bay Area projects such as Santana Row, the luxury lifestyle development in San Jose, and One Rincon Hill and Lumina, two of the most significant residential towers to flank the downtown San Francisco skyline. He received a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Civil Engineering from Aston University in Birmingham, England, and speaks a bit of Russian.

Peter and his wife Debbie moved to the Bay Area in 1996 and currently reside in Walnut Creek, CA. Peter enjoys taking nightly walks with his dogs Gracie and Bentley, spending weekends with the family at their cabin in the Sierra Nevada’s, mountain biking and the occasional opportunity to hang-out with his two busy teenage kids.

Kristy Davis is the Business Development Manager for Truebeck Construction. Truebeck

Construction is a local, full-service general contractor specializing in technical building, complex

projects, and interiors. Clients come to Truebeck when they have ambitious goals, and when

the first time and delivers the best value.

Before joining Truebeck, Kristy was the Structural Steel Specialist for the American Institute of

Steel Construction (AISC) in the San Francisco market. And before joining AISC, she worked as

a staff structural engineer for A/E firms in Chicago and Indianapolis.  Kristy has experience with

all phases of design, from design development through construction administration.  She is a

member of the CoreNet Northern California Chapter and CREW San Francisco.

Kristy attended Purdue University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering

with an emphasis in structural engineering, and Ball State University where she earned a

Bachelor of Science in environmental design.
