Why This Matters

2017 was a big year for Bay Area CRE. We saw progress made on massive projects like the Salesforce Tower, The Transbay Transit Center & The Oceanwide Center.

It’s time to get the party started for 2018.

How does San Francisco's population stack up against other major cities?  "San Francisco is getting younger, wealthier and more densely populated, according to the U.S. census’ annual American Community Survey.” - Julie Littman, Bisnow's SF Reporter. While the population might be changing in the Bay Area, another change can be seen in a number of office tenants moving in San Francisco's up and coming neighborhoods.

DropBox has made a big splash in San Francisco with the biggest off lease in City history. John Kilroy reflected to the SF Chronicle, “That is exactly what the modern tenants want: bigger floor plates, higher ceiling heights, lots of light and rooftop decks everywhere.” We have gathered a great group of tenants for this program and look forward to hearing their insight! Next up is housing.

Housing: Housing is going to continue to be a very hot topic as we look towards the new year. “Far too long, we failed to develop enough housing in our city, creating an environment where families left San Francisco for more affordable places to live,” Mayor Lee said in a statement. Housing will continue to be a hotly contested topic.

This is just a taste of what we plan to cover. Join us for our first San Francisco event of 2018 to learn much more!
