Ken Busch has over 25 years of experience in real estate development. He joined Sares Regis Group of Northern California in 2002. Ken serves as Project Executive for major residential development projects, overseeing feasibility, entitlements, financing, design, construction, marketing, and sell out/lease-up. He is a member of the Senior Management Team for the Residential Division.

Brokerage Experience: As an attorney and commercial real estate broker in Northern California, Sam Greason has specialized in selling land to home builders, apartment builders and land developers in Northern California since 1993.

Development Experience: In partnership with Chop Keenan of Keenan Land Company, Palo Alto, CA (2004-2007), Greason assembled the 2,000-acre River Run master-planned community in San Joaquin County and obtained preliminary entitlements for 9,000-homes. Greason also worked in forward planning and land acquisition for Perma-Bilt Homes, Walnut Creek, CA (1990-1991), where he assembled 500-acre projects in Sacramento, CA and Orting, WA. Greason has invested in several mixed use, multifamily, retail, and hotel projects in Northern California in the past 2 years.

Legal Experience: Greason practiced real estate law in San Francisco and New York, including 3 years with Rubin Glickman & Associates in San Francisco, CA (1991-1993) and 3 years as in-house counsel for homebuilder/developer Kean Development, Cold Spring Harbor, NY (1986-1989).

Education: Greason earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (Cum Laude) from Cornell University in 1981, and his Juris Doctor from NYU Law School in 1984.

Personal: Sam has been married to wife Dana since 1991. They have 2 college-age sons, Mackenzie and Wesley. Sam played lacrosse for Cornell University and coached youth lacrosse in Danville and Walnut Creek for 8 seasons. He is now training for his 4th triathlon.

Michael Van Every is the President and Managing Partner of Republic Urban Properties, the Bay Area flagship of the Republic Family of Companies. Mr. Van Every works with Federal, State, and Local governments on the creation and development of ‘smart growth’ projects, such as master-planned communities near transportation hubs; urban mixed-use projects near major employment centers; and innovative, public-private partnerships. The Republic Family of Companies is known for developing institutional-quality real estate throughout the United States, from land development, to historic adaptive reuse, to shopping malls.

In his 25 years of working experience representing major institutional and private real estate developers in the greater Bay Area, Van Every has earned the reputation as a man with the leadership, the knowledge, the experience, and tenacity to see complicated projects through from land acquisition to completion. Under Van Every’s leadership, RUP has gained national attention for its Transit Oriented Development (TOD) projects at key transit stations working as the premier public-private partner with many transit authorities across California.

Since 2006, as the managing partner of RUP, Van Every has been involved with the planning, financing, construction, and delivery of 1,238 multifamily units and 145,000 square feet of mixed-use commercial space. In addition to the multifamily pipeline, RUP has approximately 380 hotels rooms, 151,000 square feet of office, and 120,000 square feet of retail in various stages of development. The estimated market value among projects is projected at $1.5 billion in value.

A third-generation San Jose native, Van Every holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from California State University at Fresno. Van Every is an active member of San Jose Rotary Club as well as the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. He also serves as a Board Member on Santa Clara County Catholic Charities. Michael is married and lives with his wife Jennifer and Jacob in the Willow Glen Neighborhood of San Jose.

Brian L. Shields is Mynd’s Vice President of Business Development, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer Doug Brien. Shields is a member of the senior management team.

Since joining in 2017, Shields has been leading Mynd’s efforts to create personal relationships with new clients in our markets, engage referral partners to help Mynd build trust with potential clients, and strategically acquiring property management companies in high value new markets.

Shields has 10+ years of business development and acquisition experience; Head of US Business Development at Funding Circle, the largest international small business lending marketplace; Co-Founder of IncubateNYC, a technology incubator founded in partnership with Google and Columbia University; New Products at Solstas Labs (acquired by Quest Diagnostics); and an Investment Associate at Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe, one of the largest Health and Fin-tech focused M&A firms in the country. Shields graduated Magna Cum Laude from Morehouse College with a BA in Business Finance.

During her tenure as President and Chief Executive Officer of the San Mateo County Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA) in California, Rosanne Foust has accomplished several objectives for the organization, including increasing membership, developing the annual Awards of Excellence to focus on innovation and entrepreneurship and contributing to the advancement of high-speed transit in the area.

In addition to serving with SAMCEDA, Rosanne Foust served ten years on the board of directors of the San Mateo County Transportation Authority, including fives years as chair, where she played a key role in the allocation of funds for improving rail, highway and street infrastructure and the investment of $445 million in current transportation projects. For twelve years (2003-2015) she proudly served on Redwood City Council with two terms as vice mayor and a term as mayor (2007-2009).

Rosanne Foust has a long history of working on issues related to the health and restoration of the San Francisco Bay including her work on sea level rise issues, restoring Bair Island wetlands, and serving for seven years on the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority as a founding board member representing San Mateo County.

Sarah MacIntyre has worked in the commercial real estate industry for more than 20 years in all aspects of the business. Previously, Sarah served as a Portfolio Asset Manager for Kilroy Realty in San Francisco. Sarah was responsible for the leasing and management of a two million square foot, Class A office portfolio of new development and existing properties centralized in the SOMA district. She has also held managerial roles with EOP, JLL and CBRE. Sarah is a member, former director and past president of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of San Francisco.

David Lenox has been the Stanford University Architect since 2005 and has been focused on

establishing a framework for continued physical growth of the campus to support the mission

and vision of the University. In his tenure he has championed the plan to restore the original

Olmsted Campus Framework Plan and has guided each the schools to plan for the future. His

design leadership and influence on projects includes transformative projects such as the GSB

Knight Management Center, the Bing Concert Hall, the Anderson Collection, the Denning

House, and Windhover Contemplative Center. Notable projects for the School of Medicine

include the Li Ka Shing Center, Lokey Stem Cell, Biomedical Innovations, and Center for

Academic Medicine. In addition to the Science & Engineering Quad, he has guided the design of

the Bass Biology Building, the Sapp Center, and the CheM-H Neurosciences complex. David was

also intimately involved with the Stanford Redwood City Campus planning and design.

Sustainable projects including the O’Donohue Family Stanford Educational Farm, the Central

Energy Facility, and the Automotive Innovation Center also showcase Stanford’s commitment

to sustainable facilities. Currently Dave is collaborating on the Stanford Doerr School of

Sustainability Commons and the Town Center projects.

David received his Bachelor of Environmental Design from Miami University and his Master in

Architecture from the Ohio State University. Prior to coming to Stanford, his work focused on

architectural design in the corporate and transportation sectors. He has recently served as the

President on the Board of the Association of University Architects and has served on design

juries for AIA San Francisco, California Preservation Foundation, AIA National Interior Design

Awards, and the Society for College and University Planning. David also participates as a design

critic for the Stanford Architectural Design Program and has served as a faculty leader with the

Stanford Travel Program.

David gets most invigorated when he is collaborating with a School or Department to transform

its facilities and energize its culture. While new buildings should always be infused with the

Stanford ‘Architectural DNA’….they should continue to look to the future, stir emotion, and

inspire.

Peter J. Kindel is an architect and urban designer focused on large-scale mixed-use master plans and their

complementary relationship to environmental and infrastructure systems. After spending 3 ½ years

leading projects in Hong Kong, Mr. Kindel recently relocated to San Francisco where he directs SOM’s City

Design Practice in western North America. Mr. Kindel’s extensive global experience allows for a creative

re-evaluation of planning and development opportunities in North America. His work is represented by

the concept of sustainable urbanism, which seeks to balance infrastructure investment, natural systems

and architectural design to create compelling development solutions and preserve core site ecologies. His

projects have been honored with over fifteen national and international design awards.

Rob Zirkle is the founding principal of brick. Under his guidance the brick team brings a rigorous, value driven design process to a wide variety of project types in architecture, interiors and urban design. Rob leads the firm’s initiatives in design, client satisfaction, new project acquisition and company culture. Channeling Rob’s entrepreneurial approach, brick has grown into a thriving 25 person team with $450m of current projects under construction ranging from commercial office, life science, housing and higher education.

Mr. Dooling is a shareholder and chairs the RMKB Real Estate/Construction Practice Group. His

practice consists of general trial work and outside general counsel work for business entities,

individuals and insured’s. His trial practice includes experience in construction and construction

defect litigation, professional liability (architects & engineers, attorneys, and real estate and

insurance brokers), real estate, commercial disputes and general liability matters in the California

State Courts and the Northern District of California.

Mr. Dooling also represents and advises privately held and publicly traded companies in the

capacity as outside general counsel; which includes the representation of general contractors,

sub-contractors, engineering and construction management firms, real estate brokers and

developers and a local community bank. The representation includes all aspects of the clients

business, including, but not limited to, risk management, contract drafting and review, licensing,

employment agreements and handling litigation matters.

Mr. Dooling is a native San Franciscan who earned his undergraduate degree from the University

of San Francisco, where he was the recipient of a four-year Harney Foundation Scholarship. While

at USF, John earned varsity letters in baseball, golf and crew. Subsequent to his graduation from

USF, John obtained a Real Estate Broker’s License and represented sellers and buyers in real

estate transactions for Merrill Lynch Real Estate. He also owned and operated a popular sports

restaurant and bar in San Francisco from 1990 to 1996. During this time John attended evening

law school and earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence and was admitted to practice in 1991.

Outside the firm, John lives in Burlingame with his wife Eileen (a Jersey girl), their daughter

Elizabeth (Lily), and their dogs, Bogey and Skipper. He is an avid Giants (ex-bat boy) and 49ers'

(ex-ball boy) fan and enjoys the occasional round of golf.

John previously served as a Director and Officer (Vice President) for The Olympic Club and

currently serves as a Director (Vice Chair) for the Pomeroy Recreation and Rehabilitation Center

in San Francisco and The Jesuit Retreat Center of Los Altos. He is a member of the Sovereign

Military Order of Malta, and past director of several non-profit organizations; including the

Hibernian Newman Club, University of San Francisco Inn of Court, and the San Mateo Legal Aid

Society. John also volunteers at St. Anne’s Home in San Francisco and the Maple Street Shelter

in Redwood City.
