Since founding MG Properties Group in 1992, Mark has overseen the acquisition, development and management of 90 properties totaling over 16,000 units. As President, he has guided the growth of MG Properties Group, raising money for new investment partnerships and overseeing the renovation, lease-up and property management of the company's portfolio of value-add communities. Prior to forming MG Properties, Mark was a tax specialist for five years with international accounting firms Ernst & Whinney and Touche Ross and worked for six years in senior financial management positions with Hybritech Incorporated and Solar Turbines Corporation. In 2006, Mark was selected as a finalist in the Ernst& Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. He serves on the Executive Board of the USD Burnham Moores Real Estate School, is a member of the National Multi Housing Counsel Board of Directors and SD Economic Development Corporation Strategic Round Table, and has served on many charitable boards. He has been a speaker at numerous industry events. He graduated with a degree in Business from Drexel University in 1979 and became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 1981 and a California licensed Real Estate Broker in 1990.

Don Gause has been part of the Southern California Real Estate industry for the past 34 years. Most recently, Don was the Senior Vice President of Residential Development with Shea Properties for 14 years, President of Watermarke Properties for 2 years, and a Principal at Wermers Properties over the last 4 years. Wermers Properties has completed or is in the development process for more than 5,000 apartment units

Don’s experience includes both commercial and multi-family residential credentials. He is actively involved with the land acquisition, entitlement, design, construction, and the lease up on Wermers Properties’ development projects.

Don’s portfolio of multi-family and mixed use developments include these notable properties:

• Pacific Highlands Ranch, Carmel Valley (ongoing development, 331 units)

• Trio, Pasadena (306 units, 14,000 SF retail)

• City Lights, Aliso Viejo (793 units)

Lorne Polger is the Co-Founder and Senior Managing Director of Pathfinder Partners,

LLC. Pathfinder is a real estate private equity firm based in San Diego, California with a

billion dollar portfolio of real estate investments primarily in the western United States.

Lorne focuses on acquisitions, dispositions, business and legal strategies. He practiced

real estate law for more than 20 years and prior to co-founding Pathfinder in 2006, was

the head of the Real Estate, Environmental and Land Use team at Procopio, Cory,

Hargreaves & Savitch, LLP, San Diego’s largest law firm. Mr. Polger is recognized for

his multi-family expertise, having directly participated in the acquisition, disposition,

financing and development of apartment, condominium and condominium conversion

transactions exceeding $6 billion in value. His law practice included acquisitions,

dispositions, developments, financings, foreclosures, reorganizations and workouts,

syndications, and leasing, along with residential, office and industrial condominium

conversion and construction. Mr. Polger graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from

Colorado College, Cum Laude, in 1984 and earned his law degree from UCLA in 1988.

Mr. Polger was a finalist in the 2015 EY San Diego Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

He has been a member of Vistage, the international CEO organization, since 2013. His

community activities include serving as a national commissioner and chair of the

Regional Advisory Board of the Anti Defamation League, as a board member at the

Burnham Moores Centre at the University of San Diego, as a board member of the

National Conference of Christians and Jews, and as a Director of the San Diego Chapter

of the CCIM Institute. He also currently serves on the Campaign for Cardiovascular Care

at Scripps Health in San Diego.

Jackson Cloak joined Berkadia as a Vice President in March 2010. Over 18+ year career he’s placed over

$2.5 billion of debt and equity using balance sheet, agency/GSA, Life Company and conduits. Berkadia is

a partnership between Berkshire Hathaway and Jeffries Financial Group. With over $265 billion of loans

in current servicing portfolio and $34 billion of debt and investment sales in 2018 we are a nationally

ranked top provider of debt and equity.

Berkadia provides borrowers and lending partners with the highest level of execution on complex and

straightforward capital structures for all varieties of commercial real estate assets.

Before Berkadia, Jackson spent 9 years at Fidelity Bancorp Funding & EverBank as an apartment and

commercial loan consultant. There he financed purchases and refinances of apartment, retail, industrial

and office properties in addition to disposition of performing and non-performing debt.

Before focusing on commercial real estate Jackson traded corporate stock options in Palo Alto and

Orange County/Newport Beach for high profile publicly traded companies. In 1999 he graduated from

SDSU with a degree in Finance is a SDSU men’s basketball season ticket holder.

After growing up in Laguna Beach then living in the Bay Area mixed with regular family visits to the east

coast Jackson has a great appreciation for our beaches, weather, outdoors and good sushi.
