How You'll Do More Business From Attending This Real Estate Event: San Diego remains one of the most desirable, and challenging, multifamily markets in the country. Strong population growth, limited land availability and persistent housing shortages continue to drive demand for rental housing across the region. At the same time, developers and investors are navigating rising construction costs, evolving housing policy, shifting capital markets and increasing operating expenses. Join the region’s leading developers, investors, lenders and policymakers as they examine the state of San Diego’s multifamily market and what it will take to deliver new housing at scale. From entitlement challenges and financing strategies to renter preferences and operational innovation, this event will explore how industry leaders are adapting to changing market conditions while continuing to invest in the region’s housing future. Learn where the most promising development opportunities exist, how capital is approaching acquisitions and new projects, and what strategies are helping owners remain competitive in one of California’s most dynamic rental markets.

MVE + Partners: Riverwalk Master Plan reimagines a 200-acre former golf course as a vibrant, transit-oriented community that reconnects the public with the San Diego river. The master plan allows for 4,300 residential units, 150,000 square feet of retail, 1 million square feet of office, and a new Green Line trolley stop at its core—surrounded by retail, parks, and a lively public plaza. Twenty development parcels span three walkable neighborhoods, linked by a central promenade and intimate blocks that encourage pedestrian life. MVE shaped a flexible entitlement framework balancing density, mixed-use vitality, infrastructure, and habitat protection. Riverwalk sets a model for urban resilience, providing housing, ecological restoration, and public space in Southern California./// The Becker project will provide affordable, essential, and attainable housing as part of the overall Riverwalk Master Plan in Mission Valley. Residents can take advantage of both project and neighborhood amenities conveniently located near the new Trolley Station and Public Park options at Riverwalk. The project also provides great access to the San Diego River Trail, allowing for multiple modes of transportation to get around the local community. The architecture aims to participate in and enhance the overall architectural aesthetic of the Riverwalk Master Plan, complimenting the market-rate product that will be developed around the property.
