Tracy A. Murphy was appointed Executive Vice President, Life Sciences in May 2016 and is responsible for the company’s life science activities along the West Coast, an area that includes three of the top four U.S. life science markets. The company currently has approximately 6 million square feet of life science properties either stabilized or in development and Ms. Murphy leads the leasing, development and positioning for these assets as well as identify and pursue new development and acquisition opportunities in the San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area and greater Seattle markets. Across a 17 year career dedicated life science real estate, Tracy has held leadership roles in a variety of disciplines, including leasing, acquisitions and development. Tracy joined Kilroy Realty after almost a decade at BioMed Realty, where she participated on the Executive Committee and was Senior Vice President, Western U.S. and responsible for the strategic objectives for a 10 million square foot portfolio. Prior to BioMed Realty, Tracy was a life science specialized broker at BRE Commercial (now Cushman & Wakefield). She holds a Bachelor degree in Business from the University Wisconsin, Whitewater. Tracy also participates on the Executive Board of Directors for BIOCOM.

Julie Robinson

Julie Robinson is Senior Vice President, Investments for Ventas, Inc., an S&P 500 company and real estate investment trust that owns approximately 1,200 healthcare, life science and senior living properties in North America and the United Kingdom, and serves as the primary capital partner to leading healthcare providers and research institutions.

As a member of the Ventas senior leadership team, Robinson leads the team responsible for the risk assessment, diligence, negotiation and execution of all the firm’s investments, including real estate acquisitions, ground-up developments, joint venture investments and loans in the U.S. and internationally. Under Robinson’s leadership, Ventas has closed in excess of $15 billion in transactions including transformative investments in the Hospital (Ardent Health Services) and Research & Innovation (Wexford Science & Technology) sectors as well as trophy developments in outpatient medical, senior living and research & innovation. With an emphasis on optimizing business operations and improving performance, Robinson also plays an important role in evaluating and reviewing investment opportunities being presented to the Ventas Management Capital Committee.

An accomplished business leader with more than 20 years’ experience in acquisitions, deal structuring, corporate finance, management consulting and process improvement, Robinson joined Ventas in 2012 following a successful career at General Electric (GE). During her GE tenure, Robinson played a lead role in the underwriting, due diligence and negotiation of debt financing for the seniors housing and skilled nursing industry at GE Healthcare Financial Services, and led GE’s strategic initiatives across a variety of industries, including the acquisition of a software company serving the utilities industry and the IPO of Genworth Financial.

Robinson is a member of the Kellogg Real Estate Advisory Council whose mission is to enhance the Northwestern Business School’s impact on the field of real estate through efforts to support quality teaching, research, and curriculum development; to promote student recruitment and placement; and to advance relations with alumni and other leaders in the real estate industry. She also founded the Ventas Women’s Network, an employee resource group dedicated to the success and engagement of women at Ventas through professional development, career management and mentoring.

Robinson received her B.S. in Finance from Miami University and her M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. She is married with one son.

Since 2012, Brig Black has served as Executive Vice President – Southern California for Lincoln Property Company Commercial, Inc. Mr. Black’s primary responsibility is to oversee, manage and grow the San Diego regional office of the company. In this capacity, Mr. Black serves as primary point for all of the company’s regional activities, including the acquisition, disposition, financing, asset and property management, and leasing.

Prior to Lincoln, Mr. Black served as Director of Leasing, Senior Vice President and a Principal of The Shidler Group during his 12 year tenure. The Shidler Group was a highly successful institutional joint-venture platform focused on acquiring opportunistic and value-added commercial real estate in partnership with institutional co-investors.

During Mr. Black’s 22 year career, he has negotiated and structured hundreds of commercial real estate acquisition, disposition and lease transactions in the office, R&D, life science and retail product types worth hundreds of millions in consideration. An active participant in NAIOP, Mr. Black served on the San Diego Board of Directors for nine years and served as its 2012 San Diego Board President. Mr. Black holds a B.A in Finance from the University of Utah, and a Masters of Real Estate Development from Columbia University.

Peter Dowley was appointed Senior Vice President, Investments Lead, San Diego & Life Science at Kilroy Realty Corporation. Mr. Dowley has been primarily focused on Life Science investment opportunities throughout the Company’s portfolio since joining Kilroy in 2018.

Prior to joining Kilroy, Mr. Dowley held progressive leadership roles with Strata Equity Group, Inc., BioMed Realty, and Ernst & Young.

Mr. Dowley holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.

Mr. Thomas was the Managing Partner of Thomas Advisory Group LLC. TAG is a full-service real estate development, brokerage and advisory firm specializing in commercial, office, industrial, hotel and resort development projects. Mr. Thomas was also The Lead Acquisition and Development Consultant in California for Urban America (UA), a real estate investment equity fund that has purchased over 1 billion dollars in assets. UA’s main focus is acquiring and developing real estate in urban and underserved markets.

As a seasoned industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in acquisition, development and management activities related to a variety of development projects, he has helped the Urban America Fund raise $400 million dollars from institutional pension funds like Calpers. Mr. Thomas’ experience on the fund-raising side with investors (pension funds, insurance companies and banks) for Fund II, will bode well for the any BioMed campus. His ability to bring institutional capital is a value added to the BioMed Development team, along with his over 30 years of development and construction management.

Mr. Thomas entered the BioMed space because of his knowledge of the need for new multi facility campus’ throughout California, as well as his desire to invest in projects that will affect change in the community. This was over twelve years ago when he began his partnership with Dr. Phil Hart on the USC/LA County Biomed campus development Request for proposals.

Mr. Thomas believes the sound fiscal investments can be made in the inner city & underserved communities and even suburban markets can be combined with education, medicine, technology and job creation. The proposed BioMed campus in Los Angles is an excellent opportunity for banks, pension funds, and insurance companies to begin to reinvest into a needy community through a BioMed Fund and/or directly into the project as a direct investment.

Currently The BioMed Development Group is looking at working with the City of Phoenix in the continued development of a downtown BioMed campus for Thomas’ alma mater ASU (Arizona State University). He was the first African American varsity athlete to letter in a major sport and get a degree in construction engineering. He sits on the Board of Directors for the City of Riverside Chamber of Commerce EasthillsDivision, he also is on the Advisory Board for the Sam Williams Foundation, a youth outreach program.

Mr. Divinsky joined Stockdale after nearly 25 years in development and asset management with Worthe Real Estate Group in Santa Monica, California, well-known for owning and managing institutional-grade high profile media and technology focused assets. Mr. Divinsky is a former Chairman of the Board of BOMA - Greater Los Angeles and has served on the Boards of BOMA-CAL, the Burbank Chamber of Commerce and the Red Cross Subcommittee on Emergency Preparedness. Derreck is the head of the Southwest region for Nuveen Real Estate’s Office focused investments. He is responsible for leading a team of talented professionals, overseeing transactions and asset management on the 9 million sq. ft. office portfolio.

Prior to joining Nuveen Real Estate in 2019, Derreck was a Director at HFF where he was involved in over $2.4 billion in transactions as an investment advisor focused in Southern California and Arizona . Derreck previously held positions at Opus West and Marshall Property and Development where he was focused on all aspects of both companies business including acquisitions, development, and asset management. Derreck holds a B.S. with a concentration in real estate finance and development from The University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.

Enrique Ceniceros has over 31 years of experience as an architect and laboratory planner, and more than 11 years of experience as a science and technology leader. His clients include universities, biopharmaceutical facilities, R&D laboratories, developers, aerospace facilities, and manufacturing groups. Enrique is passionate about the Life Sciences industry and its growth in the Greater Los Angeles Area and all of Southern California. He spearheaded the creation of the International Institute of Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) in Los Angeles and serves as the chapter’s first president; he believes the life science community needs more platforms to network and collaborate. He was also named one of San Diego's Life Sciences top 50 professionals in 2022 and 2023.
