Ben Badiee is the founder and CEO of Badiee Development Inc. (“BDI”) and several other successful business ventures. Mr. Badiee formed Badiee Development in 2003 and currently has upwards of $1 Billion dollars of Industrial real estate development pipeline in Southwestern markets, which offers compelling investment structures in up & coming markets with high quality amenities and customer service.

Mr. Badiee’s vision for Badiee Development is to create a long-term real estate firm and operation that creates valuable outcomes for those with a financial relationship with the company as well as through the company’s strategic corporate philanthropy.

He is responsible for developing private and equity investment strategies, acquiring the land and hiring professional firms as well as securing construction and permanent financing, leasing and positioning of assets. He believes that taking a hands-on approach to all phases of the development process is the best approach to delivering the highest quality real estate products.

Mike Erwin is a commercial real estate expert specializing in San Diego County Industrial/R&D properties and investments, representing buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, developers, and investors. Mike's career started as a bank regulator where he audited banks' commercial loans and OREO portfolios for six years. Mike now provides clients with a wide range of services, including development, consultation, financial analysis, lease analysis, market analysis, sale and lease negotiations, and value assessment of commercial properties. Focused on exceeding client expectations, Mike fosters productive strategic relationships and grows sales with new marketing strategies and techniques. Mike's undergraduate and graduate degrees from San Diego State University have been valuable in both his career aspirations and in fostering connections within the San Diego region.

The California Department of Business Oversight recently granted preliminary approval to a group of well-known San Diego business leaders to organize a new bank in San Diego. Endeavor Bank (In Organization) (Endeavor) is the first to receive such approval in San Diego County since 2007. The organizers’ next step is to obtain the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s preliminary approval to organize. Once Endeavor obtains that approval, the proposed bank will be only one of a few in the country to receive permission to organize since the financial crisis in 2008.

Subject to receipt of all final regulatory approvals, Endeavor expects to open later this year with initial capitalization of $25 million. The proposed bank will be headquartered in downtown San Diego and operate an additional facility in Carlsbad. Endeavor will focus on serving local companies and their owners throughout the county, in all industries.

Katie Yee is a natural leader with over 15 years of marketing and management experience with various homebuilders and engineering firms. She joined the Latitude 33 team in August of 2015 as the company’s Director of Business Development and Marketing. After demonstrating her talent at Latitude 33 for just over one year, Ms. Yee became the company’s first Chief Relationship Officer, and one of the company’s seven shareholders.

In her role, Ms. Yee pursues new prospects, and works to maintain positive client relationships. Internally, Katie assists in the strategic planning and direction of the firm as well as focusing on shaping company culture. Ms. Yee was named among the top “40 Under 40” in 2015 by the San Diego Metro Magazine, and a 2015 finalist for “Consultant of the Year” by the Building Industry Association (BIA) of San Diego. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from San Diego State University, and is actively involved with Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), The BIA, the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Downtown San Diego Partnership (DSDP).

Council Member Lowery was born and raised in Oceanside. He attended Ditmar School, St. Mary Star of the Sea, Oceanside High, Mira Costa College and San Diego State University.

He worked hard as a teenager and learned the value of a dollar. He founded his own wholesale business, Pacific Bakery, and grew it into a company with national regional distribution. Chuck eventually sold his successful twenty-two year old bakery to allow more time to serve the community.

He is a current board member of the Oceanside Charitable Foundation and was Chair of the Grants Committee. He is also a Board Member of the Tariq Khamisa Foundation (TKF). The mission of TKF is to prevent youth violence in San Diego County. He also serves on the Arts Advisory Committee at TERI, an educational facility for persons with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Judy Ritter, has been a business owner and resident in the community for over four

decades. She was elected to the Vista City Council in 1998 and elected Mayor in 2010

and again in 2014. Mayor Ritter serves on the regional San Diego Association of

Government’s Board of Directors and Transportation committees, Chair of Encina

Wastewater Authority Board of Directors, and member of the North County Regional

Jim Desmond was elected as mayor of San Marcos in November 2006 and re-elected in 2010 and 2014. Prior to his mayoral election, Desmond served on the San Marcos City Council since November 2004.

In addition to his mayoral duties, Desmond serves as the city's primary representative on the board of the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) and is the chair of the SANDAG Regional Transportation Committee. Mayor Desmond also serves as chair of the San Marcos Fire Protection District. Since 2007, he has represented the North County Inland Cities (San Marcos, Vista, Escondido, and Poway) as a board Member of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.

Desmond’s city service started in 2000 as president of the board of San Marcos Economic Development Corporation (SMEDC) until 2002. From 2002 to 2004, Desmond served as an alternate on the city's Planning Commission.

Mayor Desmond is a US Navy Veteran and earned a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University. He completed the Leadership North County program at California State University San Marcos.

A dedicated resident of San Marcos since 1992, Desmond was active in the community serving as the first parent teacher president of Twin Oaks Elementary School. He also served as a San Marcos Chamber of Commerce board member. Desmond remains involved and is a member of the San Marcos Kiwanis Club and serves as a board member of the San Diego and Imperial County Boy Scouts of America.

Mayor Desmond has been employed by Delta Air Lines since 1986 where he currently works as a captain flying the Boeing 757s and 767s. He previously founded, managed and sold a technical writing company called Technical Standards, Inc.

Mayor Jim Desmond and his wife Kerri of 32 years currently live in San Marcos and have two grown children.

Heather S. Riley is a partner in our San Diego office, where her practice involves a variety of land use and environmental matters, with a particular emphasis on writ litigation. She has extensive experience with the California Environmental Quality Act. Heather has defended numerous private clients and public entities in land use and environmental actions in both state and federal courts.

Heather's other practice areas include water law and endangered species law.
