Mr. Wood’s key role is identifying new investment and development opportunities for Cisterra. His strategic and successful development oversight and years of experience structuring transactions is demonstrated through projects like the award-winning DiamondView Tower adjacent to Petco Park in downtown San Diego, the Sempra Energy Corporate Headquarters Building across from the ballpark, and the Gateway at Torrey Hills project in Del Mar. Mr. Wood’s other essential roles include overseeing leasing, financing and underwriting of all Cisterra projects.

Prior to joining Cisterra in 2001, Mr. Wood was Director of Acquisitions and Development for Kilroy Realty Corporation where he participated in the acquisition and development of over $500 million in existing properties and new development opportunities. He also structured and negotiated over 1.5 million square feet of lease transactions.

Mr. Wood’s experience also includes C.B. Richard Ellis where he underwrote real estate transactions, and Picus Associates in Princeton, New Jersey, where he helped develop and manage the 2,200 acre mixed-use Princeton Forrestal Center development.

A 1993 graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Wood is also a former member of the United States National Rugby Team and former board member of the San Diego Downtown Partnership and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) San Diego Chapter.

Mr. Floco is Founder of Carté ® Hotel, a Curio Collection by Hilton ™ , located in downtown San Diego’s Little Italy district. Mr. Floco serves as CEO of Alliance Development Fellows LLC, as well as President of PierPoint Management LLC. Over a 24-year period, Mr. Floco has had direct management and supervision of over 200+ hotel properties under brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Intercontinental, Wyndham, Choice and Starwood Hotels. Mr. Floco has also served as Chief Operating Officer with Narven Enterprises, Inc., Director of Portfolio Management with CNL Hotels & Resorts, Regional Director of Sales & Marketing with Flagstone Hospitality/RFS Inc., District Manager with Prime Hospitality and held General Manager positions with Prime Hospitality, RFS Inc. and Expotel Hospitality. Mr. Floco holds a degree in Hospitality Management from Northern Arizona University.

Kerri Verbeke Kapich is the COO for the San Diego Tourism Authority, one of the nation’s leading destination marketing organizations. The SDTA represents over 900 hospitality organizations and serves as the San Diego region’s tourism marketing engine.

Kapich is a frequent guest speaker at industry conferences nationwide as well as a guest lecturer at the San Diego State University School of Hospitality and for LEAD San Diego. In 2001, she was named as one of the “Top 100 Marketers” in the nation by Advertising Age magazine and is the recipient of numerous marketing, advertising and tourism awards including San Diego County Hotel-Motel Association Gold Key “Allied Person of the Year” Award, San Diego Daily Transcript “Women of Influence” Recognition, San Diego Magazine “Woman of the Year” Honoree, San Diego Business Journal Women Who Mean Business Finalist and Multi-Cultural Conventions Services Network “Women In Tourism & Hospitality” Honors.

In 1997, Kapich joined the San Diego Tourism Authority. In her role as COO, she is responsible for strategic planning, brand stewardship, community engagement and revenue development. She is the driving force behind the SDTA’s integrated marketing program and partnerships including major initiatives such as the National Geographic “World’s Smart Cities” San Diego documentary.

Currently, Kapich serves on the Visit California Marketing Advisory Board, Friends of Balboa Park Board of Directors and CalPoly SLO Experience Industry Management Advisory Board. Past board positions include the California Travel Association, California Restaurant Association San Diego Chapter, Junior League of San Diego and the Advertising Club of San Diego. She is a graduate of the LEAD Influence San Diego class of 2017.

A San Diego native, Kapich was featured as one of the “50 People to Watch” by San Diego Magazine. She is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Derek Davis

Derek Davis is President and shareholder of davisREED Construction. In 2002 Derek realized that he could do even more for the construction industry. Taking the best parts of what he gained from his first 20 years in the industry, he decided to start davisREED Construction with EE Reed and founded the company with a strong emphasis in hospitality construction. His general contracting experience is unmatched in the field regarding the breadth and scope of project experience from historical renovations to five start resorts. This graduate in Building Construction from University of Florida now has more than 35 years of experience leading teams from pre-construction through completion on numerous projects throughout the United States. Recently Derek has concentrated his energies on luxury projects, such as Vista Collina in Napa, The Pendry in San Diego and, Kimpton’s La Peer and Everly in Hollywood as well as various multi-family and mixed-use projects– dedicated to delivering the best. He sits on the Board for Ecke Family YMCA and is a strong supporter of many local events and charities.

Derek is also a dedicated family man. Married to his wife Leesa for 23 years, they enjoy traveling and exploring with their two sons. He is also an avid fly fisherman, golfer and, we have to mention, a huge Star Wars fan.

Margit E. Whitlock AIA LEED AP | Principal in Charge of Architecture and Interior Design | Architectural Concepts Inc. a San Diego, CA based design firm. Ms. Whitlock is responsible for creating the concepts that drive the creative process. Her professional experience includes all aspects of architecture, design and the building process including project programming and site analysis, interior design, custom FFE, art programs, construction documents and construction administration. She is a licensed architect in the states of CA, AZ, NY, PA, TX, FL and HI. To foster her passion about the built environment and her community, Margit is President of SDAF (San Diego Architectural Foundation) a 501c3 non-profit. For the past twenty-seven years she has focused on resort/hospitality design and construction with projects nationally and internationally. Her project list includes hospitality, commercial, retail, restaurants, civic and timeshare resorts.

Ms. Whitlock is an accomplished speaker with engagements at multiple ARDA conventions, HD Boutique show as well as being frequently published in magazines such as Developments, Resort Trades, Hotel Business, Hiatus, Vacation Industry Review and Resort Management and Operations.

She received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon with academic strengths in urban planning and design and extended studies in Art History and Architecture at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Mr. Cohen is responsible for the Company's California development program. He has been with the Company since 1988, during which time he has been involved in the development of award winning projects, including 2 Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, CA and Bridgeworks/Hilton Gaslamp mixed-use hotel and retail in San Diego’s Historic Gaslamp Quarter. He is currently responsible for the development of the Oceanside Beach Resort in Oceanside CA.

Mr. Cohen is also a founder of Value Retail PLC and until its sale in mid- 2019 was responsible for the Company's management of the VIA Outlet Fund, which owned and operated 11 retail centers in 9 European countries. He also served in a variety of roles within Value Retail since its inception, including management of Value Retail’s Mallorca outlet venture with Varde Partners.

Mr. Cohen was previously Senior Vice President of W&M Properties, Inc., where he was responsible for a variety of residential, retail and office development project. In addition, he had leasing and asset management responsibility for a portfolio of over 2,000 residential units and retail and office properties aggregating over 2 million square feet.

Mr. Cohen is a graduate of Touro College and Harvard Business School. He has been based in San Diego since 1990.

Uri Feldman is President of Sunroad Holding Corporation, as well as a member of the Executive Committee of Sunroad Enterprises.

Uri has been involved with Sunroad since 1990. In 1999, Uri was the co-founder and CEO of a venture capital-backed, Internet insurance brokerage, a capacity he served in until he replaced himself with a professional CEO in 2001. Since his return to Sunroad in 2001, Uri has been instrumental in obtaining and constructing new dealerships, spearheaded various real estate development projects in San Diego and Mexico, and is involved in all aspects of the administration and management of the company. Uri received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego in 1992 and a MBA from Stanford University in 1997. Uri is a member of YPO San Diego Chapter and has served on the boards of the Toyota Dealers Association of Mexico, the UC San Diego Alumni Association, the San Diego Jewish Academy and the San Diego Port Tenants Association.

Cameron Lamming is a partner and principal at RAR Hospitality focusing on the operations of the company as well as ownership relations. Prior to joining RAR, Cameron worked at Brixton Capital, an opportunistic investment vehicle with assets totaling over $4 billion, where he was responsible for the acquisitions group. His primary responsibilities included sourcing, analyzing and evaluating acquisition opportunities and executing business plans on more complicated projects. Over the course of two and a half years, Cameron executed 34 deals totaling $550 million. Prior to joining Brixton, Cameron worked for The Walt Disney Company beginning in Global Business Development for the Parks & Resorts Division advising senior leadership on domestic and international theme park, hotel, cruise line and timeshare strategies. He later joined the Corporate Finance team that acted as the in-house financial advisor to the company. Among their primary responsibilities were overseeing the company’s capital structure and liquidity profile, managing Disney’s rating agency and banking relationships and taking on special structured finance and acquisition projects for the company’s larger transactions. He is a graduate of Stanford University.
