Gregg Zoll is the Vice President of Facilities Management and Development at Sharp HealthCare. Prior to joining Sharp HealthCare, Gregg was at Stanford Medical Center where he served as the Director of Renewal Projects. Prior to Stanford, Gregg had extensive construction management experience with Hoag Hospital in Orange County. He has more than 28 years of diverse construction industry experience encompassing project estimating, program management, project controls, project management, contract administration and project engineering. Gregg is a design professional and an advocate of Design-Build. A strong team leader with a demonstrated history of building partnerships and high performance teams.

JJohn Pollock is Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director at Meridian. Mr. Pollock is responsible for

the capital markets, financing, and operational functions of Meridian. He works with his executive

leadership team on the company’s strategy and operations. Before his most recent role, Mr. Pollock

served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

With more than 30 years of knowledge shaped by a wide range of experiences in commercial and

residential real estate development, Mr. Pollock has proven his ability to lead, manage and develop

highly effective cross functional teams. Prior to joining Meridian in 2006, Mr. Pollock served as General

Manager for national home builder Centex Homes where he was responsible for all land development,

construction and sales in Santa Fe, New Mexico. From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Pollock served as Vice

President of Bovis Lend Lease, a leading international project management and construction company

operating in more than thirty countries. At Bovis, Mr. Pollock’s responsibilities included managing

finance, project controls and risk management and he was involved in a wide range of transactions in

size, scope, and geography.

Notable developments Mr. Pollock has been involved in include, Santana Row in San Jose, CA, Four

Seasons Hotel in San Francisco, CA, Lincoln Square in Bellevue, WA and the Privatization of Fort Hood

Family Housing in Killeen, TX.

John is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and sits on the ULI Health Care and Life Science Council.

He also serves on the HREI Editorial Advisory Board and is a Certified Public Accountant. John Received a

Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from St. Mary’s College.

During her 21-year career with Rafael Viñoly Architects, Andrea Lamberti has led both master plan and

building projects for universities and research institutes as well as projects for cultural, corporate,

commercial, and civic clients. Ms. Lamberti’s recent project experience includes the LEED-Platinum Van

Andel Institute for Medical Education and Research in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA and the Darla

Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, USA which

also achieved LEED-Platinum certification.

Ms. Lamberti has been involved with many of the firm’s master plans and institutional projects, including a

new 4,000-student campus for New York University Abu Dhabi, as well as projects for The Rockefeller

University and the University of Arizona; she is currently leading the master planning of a confidential

research campus. She has also contributed to mixed-use and commercial designs for large-scale

developments in the UK, Netherlands and China as well as multiple locations throughout the United

States.

Ms. Lamberti is a licensed architect and has participated in all aspects of the practice. In addition to

project responsibilities, she oversees strategic planning, business development and marketing for the

firm. To inform the firm’s strategic initiatives, Ms. Lamberti manages proposals and conceptual designs,

establishes and maintains key collaborator relationships and partnerships, and directs communications

and public relations strategies. For these efforts, she travels regularly to Asia, the Middle East and

Europe, and throughout the United States; she also managed the firm’s participation in the procurement

and launch of several projects including 432 Park Avenue, 277 Fifth Avenue, 125 Greenwich Street,

and the new Stanford Hospital.

Eric is a Project and Design Manager at DPR Construction, one of the top technical builders and

#2 ranked healthcare contractor in the U.S. (Modern Healthcare Largest Contractor’s List 2018).

With 14 years of industry experience, Eric has built healthcare and life science facilities for

industry leaders such as Scripps, MedImpact, Alexandria Real Estate, Sharp Healthcare and the

University of San Diego. He serves as Project and Design Manager on several of DPR’s

healthcare projects in San Diego and his extensive technical expertise includes project

evaluation, design management, scheduling, project logistics, cost control, subcontractor

management and strategic planning.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State

University, San Luis Obispo. He is a DBIA Certified Professional and a USGBC LEED Accredited

Professional.

With over 22 years of experience delivering construction services within operational acute care

facilities, Steve offers a deep perspective to the opportunities and risks related to working in

challenging environments. As Owner of Align Builders, Steve’s primary role is to oversee all Pre-

construction activities and ensure that

company culture and principals are preserved. His passion for creating project environments

that inspire people to build together has helped him establish long-term relationships with

some of the largest healthcare providers in Southern California. He has a B.S. in Construction

Management from Arizona State University.

Dan Henry joined CBRE in 2018 and has been part of the San Diego healthcare industry for over 15 years in various sales and management roles.

Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Henry held several leadership positions at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi Aventis, Boehringer Ingelheim, and LipoScience. While at these companies, he was honored with three President Club Awards for ranking as one of the top producers nationally. As an industry leader, he worked throughout the San Diego Region with many of the largest health systems in UC San Diego, Scripps Health, Sharp HealthCare, Palomar Health, and Kaiser Permanente. As a member of the CBRE sales brokerage, he will be utilizing his background and in-depth local market knowledge to specialize exclusively in the healthcare real estate sector.

Tim Schoen has served as BioMed’s CEO since 2016. Under Mr. Schoen’s leadership, BioMed

Realty has grown its portfolio, including development to 17 million square feet across six core

markets, while providing its tenants with mission-critical infrastructure that expands their

innovation capacity to advance human health. In addition to expanding the business, Mr.

Schoen has earned numerous awards including Dealmaker of the Year award in 2020, and was

selected as a Leader of Influence list in 2023.

Mr. Schoen currently serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees for the Salk

Institute in San Diego and is the chair of Salk’s Conquering Cancer Initiative Advisory Committee

and the Finance Chair. He also serves on the Board of Directors for CoreGiving, a nonprofit that

seeks to fight childhood hunger and food insecurity. The organization has provided more than

66 million meals since its inception and mobilized over 3,000 volunteers in excess of 80 cities

across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia on CoreGiving Day 2024.

Prior to joining BioMed Realty, Mr. Schoen was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial

Officer of Healthpeak, an S&P 500 real estate company, from 2011 to 2016. Mr. Schoen served

as Vice President of Corporate Finance at Kilroy Realty Corporation for nine years before his

time at Healthpeak. Mr. Schoen received a BS in finance and international business from

Minnesota State University and earned his MBA from the University of California, Irvine’s Paul

Merage School of Business, where he was a Dean’s Scholar.

Matt Brady AIA, Associate, is the Science and Technology practice leader at HED’s San Diego office location. He is a seasoned architect and laboratory planner with over one million SF of laboratory space in his portfolio. Matt is known for his commitment to service clients in the biotechnology, pharmaceutics, life science research, and medical device manufacturing markets. His experience includes new construction, tenant improvement, and adaptive reuse.

Matt holds a master’s degree in architecture from the New School of Architecture and Design.
