Robert V. Lankford is president, chief executive officer, and owner of Lankford&Associates, Inc., a company formed in 1982 to develop and manage commercial real estate. Mr. Lankford’s personal involvement in every project undertaken by Lankford&Associates assures clients the highest degree of attention to their unique needs. Mr. Lankford’s experience encompasses projects in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. In total, Lankford&Associates has developed over 4 million square feet of office, medical-office, government, residential, and biomedical space with a total value of approximately $1 billion. Mr. Lankford has instigated major real estate development projects covering a wide range of product types for over 30 years.

Prior to founding Lankford&Associates, Mr. Lankford served twelve years as Vice President and Project Manager for The John Madden Company, a major Denver developer. It was there that he oversaw the company’s construction subsidiary and was responsible for the master planning and execution of several large-scale development projects totaling more than three million square feet.

Mr. Lankford holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He is currently an Executive Board Member and immediate past Chairman of the Board of the Downtown San Diego Partnership and a participating member of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Lankford is a member of the Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC) Community Plan Update Steering Committee and leads collaborative effort to launch the Downtown San Diego Business Attraction Program.

Jake brings a passion for addressing healthcare real estate holistically as part of the entire healthcare delivery continuum. His dedication to understanding the new world of healthcare consumerism makes PMB an integral part of our clients’ healthcare strategies and solutions.

Jake has been with the firm since 2005 and focuses on the overall vision and strategy of the company including financial, operational, growth, team and delivery partnerships. Jake is responsible for sourcing, structuring and leading development opportunities including deal structuring, entitling, financing, and managing ground-up development projects from inception to occupancy.

Jake is a LEED® Accredited Professional and has a California real estate broker’s license. He is on the ULI Health Care and Life Sciences Council, an advisory board member of Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Environmental Design and holds active memberships in the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Cornell Real Estate Council and the U.S. Green Building Council.

Jake received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 2003, a Certificate in Real Estate Finance, Investments and Development and a Certificate in Healthcare Transformation from the University of California Irvine. Matthew Jenusaitis

As chief of staff for UC San Diego Health, Matthew Jenusaitis leads key initiatives in support of operational and strategic priorities to advance the organization's mission and vision. He serves as an executive liaison with the chief executive officer to provide management oversight and coordination of programs, initiatives and special projects, as well as deal with challenging situations and resolve problems. Additionally, Mr. Jenusaitis leads the enterprise-wide Project Management Office (PMO) to enhance performance management by improving operational efficiencies and reducing costs across UC San Diego Health.

Mr. Jenusaitis brings to this position more than 25 years of medical device industry, start-up and institutional investment experience focused on organizational growth, commercialization and operations. As a global life science executive, he has extensive expertise in the following clinical areas: cardiovascular, neurovascular, peripheral vascular and gastrointestinal interventional, as well as experience in both domestic and international management, sales and marketing, new product development, and non-profit fund raising, operations and management.

Before joining UC San Diego Health, Mr. Jenusaitis served as the president and chief executive officer of OCTANe, an Orange County, California non-profit organization focused on sparking innovation, starting new medical and high-tech companies, and creating jobs. OCTANe's accelerator program LaunchPad helped early-stage companies raise more than $700 million in capital and created more than 3,500 jobs in the region.

Before OCTANe, Mr. Jenusaitis worked with ConcepTx, identifying unmet clinical opportunities and developing new technologies and companies. He also served as the president of ev3 Neurovasuclar, leading their growing division (formerly MicroTherapeutics Inc.) through a combination of organizational development activities by launching and developing markets for a number of new products.

Mr. Jenusaitis spent 15 years at Boston Scientific Corp., most recently in the position of president of the $600 million Peripheral Interventions Division (formerly Medi-Tech) leading the acquisition and integration of Cryovascular Systems, Inc. and EndoTex, Inc. Before that, he held executive marketing and management positions in the Microvasive Endoscopy, International and Scimed Life Sciences divisions. During his career, Mr. Jenusaitis also spent eight years at Baxter Healthcare in both marketing and engineering management positions.

Mr. Jenusaitis holds a master of business administration degree from the University of California, Irvine, a master of science degree in biochemical engineering from Arizona State University, and a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University. He sits on the board of directors of Creagh Medical in Galway, Ireland, a developer and manufacturer of specialty angioplasty balloons, and Pulsar Vascular in Santa Clara, Calif., an early stage developer and manufacturer of neurovascular implants for the treatment of hemorrhagic stroke. He also serves on advisory boards for Cornell's School of Biomedical Engineering and Chapman University's Schmid School of Science and Technology.

Doug joined CBRE as a Senior Vice President after three and a half years with Savills Studley. Prior to joining Studley, Doug was a consistent top producer with CBRE from 1995 to 2011, where he spent close to two decades supporting corporate real estate directors and large institutional owners of real estate.

With a focus on strategic planning and corporate real estate advisory for technology, healthcare, biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceutical and medical device occupiers, he has completed over 800 leasing and sales transactions, totaling over 25 million square feet with an aggregate transaction volume of nearly $2 Billion.

With a large, complex transaction and real estate portfolio consulting focus, a partial list of major clients and engagements include Nokia, Alere Health, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Becton Dickinson (BD), AMN Healthcare, QUALCOMM and Hughes Network Systems.

Carlos Crabtree is a project executive for DPR Construction, one of the nation’s leading technical

builders. He brings to the table more than 20 years of construction experience on a wide range of

challenging projects. His background and proven expertise include project evaluation, contract

negotiation, budgeting and financial management, scheduling, team building, implementation of

virtual design and construction (VDC) in construction projects, and strategic planning.

A key team member on multiple complex and high-profile projects, Crabtree recently served as

project executive on the San Diego County Sheriff’s Crime Laboratory, the Illumina P2A Parking

Structure and Visitor Center, and the fast-tracked Gilead B800 Lab and Office buildout. He is

currently working on the Scripps Encinitas Medical Office Building and the Conrad Performing

Arts Center for the La Jolla Music Society.

A DBIA-certified and USGBC LEED® 2.0-accredited professional, Crabtree received a Master of

Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil

Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Monterrey, Mexico. He is a member of

the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), San Diego Chapter, American

Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE), and a member of the American Concrete Institute.
