Michael is the CEO of Kairoi Residential providing strategic direction and leadership across the entire corporate platform. He is a co-founder of the acquisitions and development partnerships in 2003 and 2006 respectively, as well as a founding partner of Kairoi. Michael has been deeply involved in the multifamily business as an owner and operator since 1995. His 23 years of experience make him an expert in the fields of multifamily management, investment, and development. Michael has invested in, developed, and disposed of more than $4.3 billion of real estate over the past 15 years. He has a valuable network of relationships with institutional joint venture partners, lenders and property owners which he has developed over his career.

Michael graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance. He is the Chairman of the Board for Alamo Regional Mobility Authority as appointed by the Governor. In connection with his role as Chairman, Michael serves on the Alamo Area MPO Transportation Policy Board and in the San Antonio Mobility Coalition. He also serves on the Advisory Board for The Bank of San Antonio and The Bank of Austin. Michael plays a large role in the San Antonio business community as well having previously held the position of Vice Chairman and currently serving on the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. When Michael isn’t busy at the office or in the San Antonio community, he enjoys being on the lake, skiing, traveling, and listening to live music.'

Matt Greer joined ARA, A Newmark Company as senior managing director for NGKF Capital Markets in ARA Newmark’s Austin office. He has worked in real estate in Texas since 1994, most recently with Berkadia from 2007-2016 where he financed projects in excess of $2 billion. Product type expertise includes multifamily, student housing, manufactured housing, commercial and retail properties with various structures including permanent, bridge, equity and mezzanine debt financing. Before that, Mr. Greer was a partner at AMS Real Estate (AMS), a real estate services firm where he launched an underwriting group that worked for many of the CMBS industry’s largest originators. Prior to his tenure with AMS, Mr. Greer was a vice president at Simmons Vedder Partners where he was responsible for the development and marketing of the company’s office division.

Mr. Greer graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) and is active in the Mortgage Bankers Association, the National Multifamily Housing Council and the Urban Land Institute.

Patton K. Jones, executive managing director, ARA, A Newmark Company Central Texas office. Mr. Jones is responsible for the Austin and San Antonio conventional multifamily business, the ARA Newmark National Student Housing Group, and the ARA Newmark National Manufactured Housing Group. Mr. Jones oversees business development, market research, and all aspects of property disposition. The collective business lines produce roughly $800MM in sales annually. Prior to joining ARA Newmark, Mr. Jones was co-founder of an aviation parts company. He lived and worked in London and Hong Kong and was responsible for sales in 33 countries. The company grew 9,200% in 3 years and was winner of numerous business awards - ranked # 1 in "Houston's 100 Fastest-Growing Businesses" in 1999 by the Houston Chronicle, ranked # 7 in Dun & Bradstreet and Entrepreneur Magazine's "Hot 100, America's Fastest-Growing New Businesses 1999," and scored one of the Aviation Industries' best web sites rated by Forbes Magazine in 2000. Additionally, Mr. Jones's past work experience includes single-family patio home development, energy trading, and serving as an international sales manager for a Fortune 500 tech firm. Pat received his Political Science degree at the University of Texas at Austin.

Scott joined Northmarq in May 2020 to expand the company’s Investment Sales platform across Texas. He focuses on establishing and maintaining client relationships, and providing advisory, transactional, debt structures and equity sourcing services to multifamily owners and developers. He is part of the company’s Built-to-Rent and Institutional Advisory practice groups.

Prior to joining Northmarq, Scott was a Managing Director and Team Lead at Jones Lang LaSalle for six years, and a Senior Director and senior executive over central Texas for Institutional Property Advisors, a Marcus and Millichap company, for 12 years. During the last 18 years, Scott’s direct transactional and oversight experience exceeds $7 billion. With more than 50,000 apartment units sold, Scott is recognized as a market expert and is frequently called upon to speak or provide commentary at real estate conferences and in media outlets. In addition, Scott serves as an advisor for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Beige Book publication.

In addition to his multifamily brokerage experience, Scott served as the regional manager for two of Marcus & Millichap’s flagship offices in Los Angeles and Encino California, and was the Western United States Director for Special Asset Services where he was charged with supporting more than 300 senior agents and creating direct client relationships with many of the nation’s largest financial institutions and servicers.

Charles Martin Wender (known to most as “Marty”) is well known for his achievements and vision.

Marty Wender, a Fort Worth native, began his San Antonio business career in 1969, upon graduating

from the Business Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin and marrying San Antonio

native Rene Lynn Mandel.

Marty Wender’s business real estate development projects in San Antonio include the 3,500 acre

Westover Hills development, one of the country’s premier, mixed use, large scale, master-planned,

developments; Fawn Meadow in the South Texas Medical Center; and Crownridge at IH 10 West

and Camp Bullis Road.

Marty was selected as one of five “Visionaries” by the San Antonio Business Journal special section

entitled “A Century of Business” for his vision and accomplishments in his revitalization of the

City’s west side and his Westover Hills Development. Westover Hills has become home to Sea

World of Texas, the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort Hotel, Rudy’s Country Store & Bar-B-Q,

Maxim Integrated Products, Wells Fargo Operations Center, and the Alamo Colleges Northwest

Vista Campus. QVC Network, Inc., The American Funds Group/Capital Group Companies,

Nationwide Insurance, and numerous other major companies have built corporate campuses in

Westover Hills. Additionally, Westover Hills is home to seven major data center facilities, including

Microsoft and Valero.

Marty is active in numerous civic and charitable organizations. He is a past Chairman of the Board

of the Alamo Public Telecommunications Council, a Board member of the Masters Leadership

Program of San Antonio and Bexar County, and a Board member of the University of Texas Health

Science Center San Antonio Cancer Therapy Research Center. Marty was the 2002 Chairman of the

Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce; and was a member of “Team Toyota” that helped lure

Toyota to San Antonio. Marty served on the Board of the San Antonio Economic Development

Foundation; the Board of the San Antonio Medical Foundation; the University of Texas Health

Science Development Board, and many others. Additionally, Marty is a member of the University of

Texas Chancellor’s Council; the University of Texas Longhorn Advisory Council; and the University

of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business Advisory Council.

Marty Wender has been the recipient of many awards and recognitions because of his achievements,
